Gengar

Scizor and Scyther arrived back in the forest with Abra before she teleported out to go back to Ash, Ash told them that Abra would be back once he got to Johto so they could spend some time with their family.

As they got back they were greeted, and properly knocked out by another group of random Scyther as they went back into the forest.

It didn't take much for the elders to hear who came and then once they heard the description they could already tell who it was.

So soon after in the main building Scizor and Scyther were sitting across the elders as they held the Egg close to them in the incubator, Scizor's grandfather was laughing his ass off, while Scyther's grandfather was cursing himself for losing and letting Scizor take her as a mate.

Scyther's grandfather eventually stopped banging his head on the wall and came over sitting across from them, "So then…tell me, it's been less than 3 moons, and you already have AN EGG, YOU HAVEN'T BEEN WITH EACH OTHER FOR EVEN 3 MOONS!" 

Scizor and Scyther looked at each other knowing this sounded familiar but didn't say anything.

Scizor's grandfather was still laughing hard, "Hahahah, You really are my grandson!" Then he elbowed his old friend, "I guess we're going to be great grandparents now huh!"

Scyther's grandfather glared at him, "You shut up, this is all your fault now my precious granddaughter has been corrupted!"

Everyone: "...Granddaughter-con…"

{Back with Ash}

Ash, Green, and Gary arrived at Vermilion City, they could get to Johto on foot but that would take like a week or 2, but taking a ship is a day trip, maybe even less.

Ash already called Surge and he arranged a ship with an ACTUAL captain on it, instead of giving an 11-year-old access to a speed boat.

Abra teleported off his shoulder to get the other 3 as Ash, Green, and Gary agreed on a meeting spot where they would come back in 2 hours, and Ash and Gary put on face masks so that they wouldn't get swarmed by people, and Green just used Ditto. And Pikachu went into hiding inside Ash's bag.

Ash went to go to a general store, he actually needed to stock up now that he had to take care of Snorlax, and he considered going to annoy Chloe but he chose not to since he remembered she told him he was held back a year from his obsession but now he probably is going to set out on a journey, so he was going to stay as far away from the laboratory as humanly possible.

Speaking of which he finally had time to check on the other Pokemon he caught:

Overall they aren't bad, and he still has 2 eggs the Larvitar egg and the Aerodactyl Egg, thanks to his new Egg thing he can check on them too and potentially change some stuff about them,

Pretty good, well except for the Nature on Larvitar but that can be fixed with the mints he has, but Aerodactyl is especially fun, Lance did not disappoint, Dragon Dance and Brave Bird on this thing, and it has Rock Head, that is going to be fun to abuse later.

As Ash was walking checking this suddenly he got a flicker in his Aura senses and took a step to the left as suddenly a wild Chloe tripped and almost fell on top of him, Ash went out and grabbed the back of her shirt and pulled her back before she fell on the ground quickly scanning the area for an annoying Goh, thankfully there wasn't one around.

Ash helped Chloe back to her feet as she finally noticed it was him, "Ash, oh thanks for…..you know catching me…" As she said that from above the railings, Eevee finally appeared seemingly out of breath after trying to catch her.

"Ve ve!" Eevee said as she jumped down and snuggled onto Chloe,

After all this commotion Pikachu who was resting inside of Ash's bag popped his head out and started to take everything in, "Pika?"

Ash frowned and as he poured Aura into his eyes to find if Goh was here, he noticed that in Chloe's shadow, there was a pair of red eyes, and he knew exactly what was going on.

"*Sigh* so Chloe, do you mind telling me why you almost fell on top of me, this wasn't some attempt to get me to carry you like a princess was it~," Ash said getting increasingly more teased.

A light blush appeared on her face as she shook her head quickly, "No, you shut up you,"

"So then what?" 

"*Sigh* Well it's been kinda weird, strange things happen at my dad's Lab… eventually after a while we found out it was a Gengar but we don't know why it was there or what it was doing here, and we haven't been able to do anything to it…"

"And why haven't you or your father for that matter, tried battling it or catching it?"

"Well, me and Eevee aren't that strong, and my dad isn't exactly a trainer…he has Pokemon but they belong to other trainers that he chose to sponsor so he can't use those,"

Then Chloe sighed and looked down clenching her fists, "Then there's Goh, that idiot, he started spouting that he's going to catch that Gengar, AFTER he goes and catches Mew, then he left, like 2 days ago he went into the forest saying he's starting over where we saw him first, I'm surprised you didn't see him on your way here."

"Yeah, I wonder," Ash said, thanking himself that he had Abra to just take him here instead of risking being associated with Goh.

Pikachu could sense Ash was more relieved than anything which made him confused but he didn't question it, Ash was weird sometimes and he just got used to it.

"So that explains the Lab stuff, but what about you, no offense but as much as I tease you, you aren't the stereotype of a clumsy anime girl,"

Chloe sighed, "Well I'll take what I can get thanks, as for why I don't know, today when I went to visit my dad I think Gengar might have cursed me, a bunch of stuff happened then I just ran out of the lab as fast as I could, and since then I've been really messed up."

Ash and Chloe were walking and talking, Ash just nodded as he heard to her side, "Hmm, I see, well then it sounds like you might be cursed, but maybe I can help you out," He said purposely leading Chloe in a direction once he found the Aura's of the people he was looking for.

"Really!" Chloe said, this sounded crazy but this was also Ash we were talking about so quite literally anything was possible,

"Yep, but first," Ash said as he raised his arm and caught a flower pot that almost fell on her head, "We should get out of this area, there more hazards here,"

Chloe flinched seeing she almost got hit by that and frantically nodded, but before as she took a step she felt herself step on something soft and the sounds of a yelp.

As she looked down she saw that she accidentally stepped on Eevee's tail, "WHAA!! Eevee, I'm sorry!"

Eevee understood it was an accident but that didn't stop Chloe from feeling bad and grabbing Eevee in her arms and apologizing over and over again.

After a bit and way too many close calls as he could see Gengar's emotions grow more frustrated that his tricks were all being stopped,

As they turned the corner Ash finally saw the people he wanted to see, Gengar's former trainer and his girlfriend, Ash said nothing and slowed his pace raising his voice slightly as he spoke to Chloe, "So, the first thing you need to know about Gengar is-" he said this just as he was passing by the blond boy,

He obviously heard that and scoffed seeing the 2 young kids and smirked seeing that they were probably just inexperienced kids so he decided to 'enlighten' them, "Hey kid, don't bother with Gengar,"

Ash stopped and looked at him, putting on a clueless expression, "Hmm, what do you mean?"

"I mean Gengar are dumb and useless, I should know I used to have one," he said proudly, "But he was holding me back so I dumped that thing, best decision I ever made,"

His girlfriend giggled, "Hey hey, tell them the story of how!"

"Oh yeah, so that dumb Gengar was so stupid, I told him to wait by an abandoned building and said I'd be back, The idiot is probably still there thinking I'm actually going back for it, hahaha!"

Ash's face remained neutral, not that they could see it under the face mask he had, when he looked over Chloe was shocked and clenched her fists, then he checked on Gengar.

He could see Gengar's emotions fluctuate, as he grew angry and sad, then angry then betrayed, and back to angry,

So the blonde guy scratched his nose thinking he was educating them, "Yeah, so I recommend you don't train those useless Gengar, I swear even a Magikarp is better hahaha! When that thing was around, it was awful! I couldn't win a battle, and every Pokemon I tried to catch would get away! I'd fall down the steps and lose things at the time! No matter what I did, it was nothing but bad luck!"

Chloe looked horrified at how he said this so casually, and she was about to say something when suddenly her shadow extended creating a large and scary shadowy figure behind her that she didn't immediately see.

The blonde boy and his girlfriend suddenly were shocked and fell back falling down as they were frightened and Chloe didn't understand yet.

Then when she saw Eevee looking up with wide eyes she realized something, she slowly and shakily looked behind her only to see the scary shadowy figure coming out of her shadow.

The blond boy looked shocked and panicked, "Oh, no! It's you!"

Gengar charged up and used a [Shadow Ball] throwing it as it tore himself out of Chloe's shadow.

As the ball of dark energy threw itself at the couple they managed to dodge it by rolling on the ground, "Stay away, stay away, stay away, stay away!"

Gengar grunted angrily as it started charging another [Shadow Ball]

"I told you to wait for me there! Only bad things happen to me whenever you're around! I don't need you anymore!" he yelled

"That's not a nice thing to say!" Chloe yelled, "It's your responsibility as a trainer to make your Pokemon strong, it's not his fault you lost, it's yours!!!"

"Shut up! Shut up! Shut up!" he started saying in fear as Gengar threw another [Shadow Ball], this time it didn't look like he could dodge it.

Chloe's angry face immediately turned to fear as she saw that he wouldn't be able to dodge that one, he was about to get his.

But then another Ash spoke, "That's enough, Pikachu [Iron Tail],"

From the side, Pikachu jumped in a flash and appeared with his tail glowing silver as he clashed with the orb and easily cut it in half landing in front of the scared couple.

Gengar still looked furious as Ash could also notice tears streaming out of his eyes and the only emotion he was feeling was betrayal, he started charging up more [Shadow Balls], but Ash only frowned

"*snap* Pikachu…" Ash said simply and Pikachu understood

He turned around and flipped his body around and charred an orb on his tail throwing a [Electro Web] with a low voltage of electricity.

It was needless to say Pikachu was much stronger than this untrained/poorly trained Gengar as he got caught and was stuck to the wall, and Ash went ahead and set some Aura out to stop Gengar from phasing through the wall.

As soon as everything was over the blond boy and his girlfriend got up and out on their smug faces again, "Hey thanks Great going kid! See what I mean, it only took a single hit, and that useless Pokemon can't even get out,"

Chloe and Eevee were both looking at him with a shocked expression, and Gengar the more he watched it made him want to start crying, Chloe was about to say something but Ash grabbed her shoulders and phased her back slightly.

Ash looked at him, "So tell me something, do you still have Gengar's Pokeball?"

"Phhh, of course not, snapped that thing and threw it into the water, good riddance," the blond boy said laughing hysterical.

"Hmmm," Ash nodded before tapping Chloe's shoulder, "Close your eyes for a second,"

Chloe decided to listen, mainly because she could see in Ash's eyes he wasn't amused or in a joking mood like usual. He closed her eyes and covered Eevee's too.

Ash started walking up and the blond boy looked at him, "Hey thanks for the saved man, though I guess it probably wasn't that important if just that little Pikachu was able to do it, still anything I can do to say thanks?"

Ash cracked his fingers, "Actually there is one thing,"

"Sure my guy, what am I-" he started but then a fist approached his face

[Right now]

After Ash punched him across the face both he and his girlfriend went running with their tails between their legs, Ash may or may not have broken that guy's nose but that's up for interpretation.

"Alright you can stop Chloe," Ash said, turning back around and approaching Gengar.

Chloe opened her eyes and followed Ash, although she didn't hear anything she had a pretty good idea of what Ash had just done but she didn't say anything, she couldn't say she didn't think he deserved it.

Ash stood in front of Gengar who watched the whole thing with shocked eyes.

Ash came over and tore the webs off Gengar, sure they still had a bit of electricity but Ash still had nonconductive gloves, and almost immediately Gengar fell back to the ground.

Ash leaned down, "So bud, how are you feeling?"

Gengar looked down, "Jie jei…."

"Hmmm, I get it, it must be hard to find your world was a lie, it's rough buddy," Ash said, patting Gengar's back.

"Jie jei….(´∩｀)"

"So what do you want to do now? I guess you're free to do whatever you want now that you don't have to wait on him anymore,"

Gengar shook his head and shrugged his shoulders, after 3 years he kinda forgot what he wanted to do before, "Jei…

From Ash's shadow Gastly popped out and nudged Gengar, "Jei jei"

Gengar looked up at Gastly, "Jei….jei?"

Gastly nodded, then came over and gave a lick at Gengar, "Jei~!(˘◡˘)۶"

Ash and Chloe were watching and Chloe leaned over and whispered, "Is that, is it good?"

Ash and Pikachu shrugged their shoulders, "No idea, but it doesn't look like Gengar wants to lash out so I guess," 

Gengar looked down and whatever Gastly did started to make him slightly chuckle, he wasn't looking like he was about to cry anymore.

Ash knelt next to Gengar, "Hey if you don't have anything you want to do, how about coming with me? If you want,"

"JeiΣ(°△°|||)?" Gengar asked in surprise

"Yeah, I won't abandon you, and if you want to fight I'll make you stronger, if not then that's fine too, what do you say," Ash said holding out an empty Pokeball.

Gengar looked at it, but then Gastly came over and bumped him, "(๑•ᴗ•๑) Jei!"

Gengar smiled a bit before looking at the Pokeball and pushing the button going in and it closed immediately.

Ash got up and looked back at Chloe as Gastly went back into his shadow, "Welp, I took care of your ghost problem, I'll be sure to take care of this poor guy."

Chloe nodded as she held Eevee, "Yeah, thanks, and I know you will, I guess i can tell my dad that you took care of it,"

Ash then put on a smug smirk as he took off his mask, "So isn't this the part where you start fawning over me and ask to reward me with a kiss or something?"

Chloe turned away, "Please this isn't a 90's movie, you idiot, I swear."

Ash chuckled, "Yeah I know, anyway see ya around…. probably, I'm off to Johto so I guess my wounded heart may have time to heal~"

Chloe sighed, "Yeah sure, good luck I guess,"

Ash could not miss this chance, "Oh, is that a bit of you caring, don't tell me you're going Tsundere on me,"

"I hate you sometimes," Chloe said as she sped walked away.
