After a few hours of testing, they have come to the conclusion that using transform on a real pokemon and using it on the Pokemon Records are the same.

Toshi can only copy any species, including its abilities, sex and skills.

The higher the level of the transformation skill is, the faster Toshi can finish transforming. At intermediate skill level, transform takes about a second to finish.

The Imposter ability helps during the initial fight, since Toshi immediately transforms into the opposing pokemon.

Using the Transformation skill during battle is suicide. One second is too long. Maybe when it reaches Advance or Master level proficiency can the transformation time be usable mid battle.

I can try "cheating" by not putting Toshi in a pokeball and give him time to transform before sending him out to battle if I want to use a different pokemon, Leon thought.

"Let's go Toshi. I'll introduce you to the Monarchs tomorrow and ask if we could train together." Leon said.

Toshi nodded and jumped on Leon's arms and they headed back to the room to rest.

The Next day.

"Good morning, Teacher," Leon greeted.

"Good morning, Leon. You look happy, did you finally get your first partner?" Chelone smiled.

"Yes, I did!" Leon grinned and threw the pokeball to release Toshi.

"Teacher, this is my partner Toshi. Toshi this is one of my teachers, Mother Chelone," Leon introduced. The energy Chelone was emitting was suffocating even if she was already controlling it. Although he was a bit scared, he looked at teacher Chelone and bounced to imitate a nod.

A predator among predators, Toshi thought. He could not believe that his master was friends with this apex.

Chelone stared at Toshi and said, "Nice to meet you, Toshi. I have no doubt that you will someday embody the name Leon has given you," Chelone gave a motherly smile to both of them.

"Of course, we will," Leon declared. "I was taught by the three Monarchs of Kanto, so it is only proper," he said smugly.

Chelone chuckled, "You have apparently inherited Little Keri's cockiness."

"Don't worry teacher, I won't let it get to my head," Leon said.

A few minutes of awkward silence…

How do I say this… I was always awkward with good byes, Leon thought.

"Don't overthink it Leon, Prof. Oak has already informed us of your choice. Although we are reluctant to lose an excellent care taker. We are also curious to see what heights you might achieve," Chelone smiled.

"Toshi can join your training in these last months with us," Chelone added.

"Thank you, Teacher," Leon and Toshi both bowed.

He went to inform both Master Keristrasza and Big Sis Heqet of his plans.
