Episode 70: Flame & Bird

The weakened Ivy hands Leon, Otto, and Rai a Leech Seed each.

Ivy: All you guys need to do it hit them with these and then me and Wart should be strong enough to get back into the fight.

The three of them attempt to hit Bruno's Pokémon with the seeds but Machamp grabs two of the three seeds out of the air. The third seed slips through his grasp and hit it, wrapping the Pokémon in a life-draining plant.

Bruno: Hitmonchan, use Fire Punch on Machamp.

Rai: Oh no you don't!

Rai goes to stop Hitmonlee but he's stomped down by a critical High Jump Kick from Hitmonlee. He's knocked out from the attack. Hitmonchan burns away Ivy's plant from Machamp's body, making Rai's efforts worthless.

Bruno: Can't let that happen again, Hitmonlee, High Jump Kick the Venusaur.

The Pokémon leaps into the air and begins crashing down towards Ivy. Before she's hit, Otto drags Ivy out of the way with Fly, causing Hitmonlee the faint from the recoil.

Bruno: Machamp it's time for the finisher. Use Focus Punch: Total Concentration.

Machamp takes a stance and begins charging up energy in all four of it's arms. Wart and Ivy attempt to stop it with Hydro Pump and Razor Leaf but are stopped by Poliwrath and Hitmonchan.

Bruno: My Pokémon know they can always win if Machamp uses that move, so they instinctively go to protect it when it begins charging.

Wart & Ivy: Leon, Otto, go!

Both Otto and Leon share a mutual nod of understanding as they begin their assault. Otto uses Fly to drag Machamp into the air. Leon and Otto then fly up into the air themself. Otto encases the two of them with Fly as Leon spews his Flamethrower on the outside of the ball of air.

Leon & Otto: Fly & Flamethrower Combo: Raging Phoenix!

They charge at Machamp as the Pokémon finishes preparing it's final move. Machamp's fists collide with Otto and Leon, the strongest move in it's arsenal multiplied by four against a move Leon and Otto learned from a legendary Pokémon. The attacks pass through each other and the three of them fall to the ground. The first of them to fall is Otto. Both Leon and Machamp are struggling to keep standing, but eventually Machamp falls. Due to an extra seed Ivy gave to Leon, when the Raging Phoenix ended Leon planted the Leech Seed on Machamp, sapping the final bit of life to give them their second win of the League.
