Chapter 189: Aerodactyl

"Roar!" The Thunderbolt seemed to hit some Pokémon, and a soul-stirring roar came from the depths of the cave. The sound waves, visible to the naked eye, were overwhelming!

In the real world, the Pressure ability wasn't like in the game, where it only increased the opponent's PP consumption. It was a powerful ability that could make opponents consume twice as much stamina when using moves!

This Aerodactyl possessed the Pressure ability. Attacking it, regardless of the move, would consume twice the original physical strength!

"Roar!" Aerodactyl stopped more than ten meters away from Ash and the others, scanning the three fiercely, and finally landing on Pikachu in front of them. The Thunderbolt just now had been launched by this little Pokémon!

"Pikachu!" Pikachu unleashed Thunderbolt. The lightning bolt illuminated the cave, and a thick bolt of electricity shot from Pikachu, rushing towards Aerodactyl!

Aerodactyl paused, dodged Pikachu's Thunderbolt, and then turned around. Dark-type energy surged, forming brown energy fangs, and it bit fiercely at Pikachu!

"Quick Attack, dodge the attack!" Ash immediately ordered Pikachu and simultaneously asked Misty and Brock to step back, instructing them to send out Pokémon for protection.

"Be careful, Ash!" Misty looked at Ash worriedly but wisely retreated, sending out Starmie to protect her. Brock also released Onix.

"Don't worry!" Ash raised his right thumb with his back to Misty, his gaze fixed on Aerodactyl, not daring to look away.

Aerodactyl continuously chased Pikachu, but Pikachu's speed wasn't much slower, especially in the cave's terrain, where Aerodactyl couldn't fully stretch its wings, limiting its movements.

However, Ash noticed that as time passed, Pikachu's stamina significantly declined. Aerodactyl's Pressure ability was taking effect, causing Pikachu's stamina to deplete much faster than usual.

"Thunderbolt!" Ash seized an opportunity and had Pikachu counterattack with Thunderbolt, but Aerodactyl was so fast that it easily dodged the attack and nearly hit Pikachu with its counterattack!

"Continuing like this isn't an option. We can only defeat Aerodactyl with one blow or significantly reduce its stamina..." Ash made a decision after careful consideration.

Aerodactyl was too fast, and Pikachu's attacks would have difficulty landing unless both were at the same level.

There was only one way to break the current situation: Thunder.

"Pikachu, get out of the way and use Thunder!" After Pikachu dodged Aerodactyl's attack again, Ash immediately ordered it to create distance and use Thunder.

"Pika!" Pikachu panted slightly and then used Quick Attack again, this time opening the distance between itself and Aerodactyl. It then activated its electric energy to unleash a Thunder attack.

Aerodactyl, having chased Pikachu, paused and stared at it with fear in its eyes. Pikachu exuded an aura that frightened it.

After being stunned for a moment, Ash reacted immediately, his face changing drastically.

He had ignored the physical strength required to activate Thunder.

Originally, after Pikachu used Thunder, its physical strength would be greatly depleted, not to mention the effects of Aerodactyl's Pressure ability, which doubled the energy consumption.

Pikachu's physical strength couldn't support using Thunder at all!

After the flames passed, Aerodactyl looked in the direction of the flames and saw Charmeleon's figure, with a trace of fear in its fierce eyes. It had actually felt threatened by the flames just now!

"Huh!" Charmeleon spat out a trace of residual flame from its mouth and met Aerodactyl's gaze, showing a taunting smile.

At the same time, Ash picked up Pikachu, retreated repeatedly, and joined Misty, who was coming over.

"Are you all right?!" Misty looked at Ash and Pikachu worriedly, while Brock was the first to check on Pikachu.

"I'm fine..." Ash shook his head slightly, then looked at Brock.

"Pikachu's fine, it's just overexerted..." Brock's slightly furrowed brows relaxed. Pikachu's condition was just exhaustion, and it wasn't a big problem.
