After exiting the Arena, Xyno directly arrived at The research facility. The registration was smooth as he already had Regina's recommendation. He also met the Head Researcher who unsurprisingly was an acquaintance.

He was none other than Eric who he met during the expedition in which he got Sett.

Although he was 102 years of age, he looked like a middle-aged man. It is as to be expected as he was a Tier 5 and Tier 5 are Elites who can live up to 200 years.

Eric was praising Xyno for the last 10 minutes nonstop. This old man was gazing at him with shining eyes full of appreciation.

"It is nothing much compared to your achievements Professor."Xyno smiled while sipping the special tea prepared by Eric. This tea was an exquisite medicine that can increase the mana quality of low-tier trainers.

"Haah you are such a modest boy. Anyways if you ever need anything you can directly inform me. we have arranged a residence for you near the northern park of the academy. Take this pass card with you, It will help you move between various facilities here."

"Ok. Good evening Professor" Xyno greeted Eric and left his office.

The research facility is directly affiliated with the academy. Apart from providing courses for pokemon trainers, the academy also focuses on other fields like Technology, Medical, Pokemon food, etc.

Xyno looked around while moving towards the residence provided to him. There were all types of pokemon and trainers moving around. Some were training their Pokemons,while some were busy grooming them. There were some couples too, being in their own world.

There were some Pokemons from other regions too as well as some regional variants and some mutants. The academy city lived up to its name there were all kind of talented people here. Though most people did not have any unique skills Xyno found 3 such individuals by just strolling here.

As he was crossing the northern park, some people gathering together caught his eye. On focusing, he found that they all surrounded a gorgeous lady. She had beauty comparable to supermodels but also had a motherly aura around her.

She was currently healing a Pidgeotto that had a nasty wound on its neck. Xyno watches with amazement as she released green colour light from her hand and the wound was healing at visible speed. It took less than 5 minutes to heal the wound. Even a single scar was not left.

The individual has the blessing of twilight. They can use twilight aura that heals from all types of injuries and diseases as long as they are not genetic.

Xyno marvelled at the application of this skill. This was one of the best skill for doctors.

"There it has already healed. Next time, pay more attention so you don't wound each other like this while training" Chisato said to an average-looking teenager.

"Thank you miss I will pay more attention" The boy in question blushed while talking to Chisato.

Slowly more people started requesting her to check their pokemon.

Although Pokeballs can naturally heal pokemon, it is a slow process and pokemon centres are expensive so free service is appreciated everywhere.

As Xyno was gazing her Chisato looked at his direction and gave a beautiful smile.

Xyno felt awkward but just nodded at her from distance. Then he started walking towards his residence. Chisato for some reason was still looking at his direction until she got interrupted by a girl who requested her to check her Pikachu.

Xyno's residence contained a large living room with 2 bedrooms with attached bathrooms and a kitchen. Although it was big for a single guy but all assistant researchers got such residence so it was pretty normal. It also had a common garden with other residences.

Xyno directly arranged his belongings. He only had a single suitcase and a bag with him so it was no trouble.

Xyno lounged on the sofa in the living room and called Sett out of his Pokeball. He then gave him some Sitrus Berries. These berries had a natural healing effect.

Sett cried happily as he feasted on the berries.

Xyno patted Sett while smiling for some time when his eyes got serious.

He took out a Dark looking crystal that emitted an eerie dark aura. This was a dark Type mana crystal. Regina gave him 20 of these along with 20 of grass type when he set for his journey.

These small pebble-sized crystals were quite expensive. These were used by trainers to increase the level of their pokemon at a faster pace. But they cannot be taken directly by Pokemon.

One of the major reasons was that they contained impurities that will hinder the future growth of pokemon. So only if you want quick benefits, you should directly feed these to them.

The better way taught to him by Maria was to first absorb their mana and transfer it through your link to the Pokemon.

In this world, you cannot level up just by defeating opponents. You needed to assimilate more mana into your bodies.

Although pokemon can directly increase their level over time by living in mana rich areas, this process was slow and may take hundreds of years to reach level elite levels.

It was also one of the reasons why high-level pokemon do not enter human-populated areas unless there is a special situation. They lived in mana rich natural habitats while feeding high mana density food there.

The centre of forests and other natural habitats had so high number of strong Pokemon that even Elite class trainers don't dare casually enter those areas. Regina once told Xyno that even Master class pokemon could be found in some areas.

Xyno slowly strengthened his link with Sett as sudden feelings of affection assaulted him. These were feelings of Sett. He slowly started absorbing the mana and transferring it to Sett.

Due to his special <Elemental Chaos Body> and Ex class talent, his speed was dozens of times faster than normal people at Tier 1. It was comparable to those at early Tier 3.

But despite that, he did not use this method for the past year. One of the reasons was that Sett was internally too damaged and healed slowly. Too much energy will harm his potential.

The second reason was that he wanted to hone Sett's battle instincts and mana control more and doing such at lower levels was easier. Anyways, he can take his time as the foundation was more important.

After absorbing nearly a fourth of mana he put away the crystal as Sett needed to slowly absorb the benefits. One of the best ways to increase the level was to battle and then fill your body with mana after exhausting yourself.

Proper food and elixirs were also necessary. Becoming a trainer was not easy. Not only you needed proper knowledge but you also needed a huge amount of money.

This was also one of the reasons Xyno came to The Academy City.

Sett levelled up to level 16. after the mana transfer.

Xyno then took out Tiny and proceed to do the same for him as he did for Sett.

Although Tiny was young, he was healthy from start and he also needed less mana to level up. Xyno hypothesised it was because Sett was more like legendaries so he needed more mana to level up.

But despite this downside, Xyno was happy as Sett could fight those 10 levels above him. He was looking forward to Sett's growth in the future.

By the time he was finished, the sky was dark and it was already night.

Xyno smiled wryly and went out for dinner with his pokemon.
