CHAPTER 112 – THE QUARTERFINALS, ASH VS WENDY (PART THREE)

In the previous chapter we see how Ash and Wendy continue their battle, now they are 3 to 2, having Ash the advantage while the Pokémon that went out to battle is Pikachu vs Volcarona one of the most powerful Bug Type Pokémon, meanwhile in another place, Serena an inhabitant of the Kalos region discovers the whereabouts of Ash which for some reason had been looking for a long time and decides that her first destination after turning 16 will be to go to Pallet Town in search of Ash, why does Serena a girl from Kalos meet Ash from Kanto? We will see in the future.

We are in the Hoenn region, specifically in a kind of fairly large room where there was a lot of food, a comfortable armchair and a huge television.

On the sofa, sitting while watching TV was a girl who seemed to be the age of our heroes, her hair was greenish, eyes of the same color, an incredibly beautiful face and she was dressed in a peculiar blue dress, her name was Lisia, a professional of the Pokémon contests and the current world champion in them.

Lisia was on the sofa eating some cookies while watching the Indigo League on TV.

"Wow, I've been looking for a Meloetta for two years and I haven't found a clue about them, how could that boy find such a gem?" – Lisia wondered looking at Ash curiously.

Then she continued watching the battle and watched how style she dodged Gallade's blows.

"As I thought, Meloetta was born to act, and what better way to test it than with contests?" – Lisia agreed.

Then she kept watching the match until finally Meloetta managed to weaken Wendy's Gallade.

"What was that boy's name...? True, his name was Ash Ketchum-Hale from Pallet Town from Kanto region, it seems to me that I will have to go there and convince him to participate in the contests, it is a pity that a Meloetta can not participate in the contests, if he does not accept I will try to exchange Meloetta or lend it to me, you can not waste her talent like that... decided when I finish my tour I will go to Pallet Town, just wait for me Ash Ketchum-Hale" – nodded Lisia.

But at that moment there was a knock on the door.

The battle was about to begin, my Pikachu against Volcarona, a difficult battle because in the video game Larvesta evolved at level 59 which was already a high level, although the anime does not follow the same pattern and doesn't have levels ... it must have been difficult for a Larvesta to evolve.

"Let's start strong, Volcarona use Fiery Dance!"

Volcarona began to spin on himself and became engulfed in a whirlwind of fire, then numerous fireballs surrounded him and immediately launched towards Pikachu.

"That's easy to dodge, Pikachu use Quick Attack!"

Pikachu wrapped himself in a white light and began to dodge attacks with agility, dodging attacks with Quick Attack has been one of my best ideas.

"Don't let that Pikachu move, Volcarona use String Shot!"

"As if that attack is going to give me, keep dodging Pikachu and then use Thunderbolt!"

Pikachu tried to dodge the String Shot but I did not realize something, the String Shot was something similar to Spiderman's web and did not come out all at the same time but was attached to Volcarona until she managed to lock up her enemy so in the end Pikachu was locked up by her.

"Pika pi!" - said Pikachu trying to free himself.

"Let's see how you can escape now, Volcaron use Fiery Dance!"

Again fireballs shot out towards Pikachu.

"Protect yourself by using Thunderbolt!"

That's all I can think of.

Pikachu used Thunderbolt but instead of throwing it at the opponent he used it as a shield that not only protected him against fireballs, but was also able to free himself from his bonds.

"Alright Pikachu now let's see how it feels to be trapped use Electroweb and then Thunderbolt!"

Pikachu launched an electricity grid.

"Dodge it!"

But unfortunately he could not do it in time and was trapped by the web.

Immediately afterwards Pikachu launched a Thunderbolt.

"Did you think you would catch us by surprise with something like that? Diverd his attack using Hurricane."

Volcarona shaked his wings like crazy and a powerful gust of wind shot out towards the Thunderbolt deflecting its trajectory and preventing it from hitting it.

In the next second Volcarona had already freed itself from the Electroweb, this is going to be difficult.

"Let's not let him rest Volcarona use String Shot!"

Again a spider web shot out towards Pikachu.

"Use Electroweb and stop him from getting you!"

Pikachu launched an Electroweb that prevented the attack from hitting him, but the problem is that we are at a stalemate, his Volcarona is very strong and is able to avoid all my attacks efficiently, what should I do?

"I must admit that your Pikachu is very strong but my Volcarona is more strong than you Pikachu so in the end we will win, Volcaron uses Fiery Dance!"

Think Ash, there must be some way... let's try this!

"Pikachu use Thunderbolt and run forward as fast as you can!"

Pikachu nodded and started running straight towards Volcarona.

"A very bad decision on your part!" - said Wendy.

Then numerous fireballs headed towards Pikachu.

"Now!"

Pikachu used Thunderbolt, but did not direct it to Volcarona, but did as before and wrapped himself in it.

Upon impact, the fireballs ended up disintegrating by the lightning that surrounded Pikachu.

"Can that be done?!" – exclaimed Wendy in surprise.

"Of course, now Pikachu knocks that Volcarona to the ground using Iron Tail and then use Thunderbolt!"

Pikachu was already in front of Volcaron which he knocked down with his Iron Tail and then released his Thunderbolt that until now had been enveloping him.

"Use Bug Buzz!"

"Wait from such a close distance both attacks will provoke...!" – I tried to say.

But both crashing attacks triggered a huge explosion that formed a huge smokescreen on the battlefield.

When the smoke finally cleared, both Pikachu and Volcarona lay on the ground completely weakened.

"AWESOME BATTLE THAT ENDED UP WEAKENING BOTH POKÉMON, I'M SURPRISED IT'S THE SECOND BATTLE THAT ENDS LIKE THIS BUT I MUST ADMIT THAT BOTH TRAINERS ARE IMPRESSIVE!"

But I didn't care about his comments and quickly went for Pikachu and picked him up from the ground.

"Are you okay Pikachu?" – I once asked in my arms.

"Pika pi..." – nodded faintly.

"Don't worry Pikachu, you did great and I'm sorry, I couldn't predict that attack" – I apologized.

"Pika pi" – Pikachu denied.

It's as if he's telling me that there was no need to apologize and not to worry about anything.

"Thank you" – I said in a grateful tone.

Then I went back to my post and left Pikachu carefully on the floor which was already a little better.

"If you feel bad say it, you can always get in my backpack and rest" - I said.

"Pika pi" – he denied.

"Okay, but don't hesitate to ask me if you doesn't feel good" - I nodded.

"Pika pi" – Pikachu nodded.

"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN THIS BATTLE IS RED HOT THE OPPONENT ASH STILL HAS THREE POKÉMON WHILE THE PARTICIPANT WENDY ONLY HAS 2 POKÉMON, BUT RHE BATTLE HAS NOT FINISHED YET!"

"Exactly, this is not over yet, Sceptile I choose you!"

And a Sceptile went out into the battlefield ready to fight.

"Charizard it's your turn!" – I said.

And Charizard went out to the battlefield.

"THE NEXT BATTLE WILL BE SCPETILE VS. CHARIZARD, TWO INCREDIBLY POWERFUL POKÉMON THAT ARE ON A BATTLEFIELD TODAY, ALTHOUGH SCEPTILE HAS A DISADVANTAGE THERE IS NO REASON TO UNDERESTIMATE IT!"

"Let's get started, Sceptile use Leaf Blade!"

The leaves on Sceptile's arms grew inordinately, and he lunged towards Charizard.

"Dragon Claw!"

Charizard lunged straight towards Sceptile and the two collided.

None seemed to want to budge.

"This will be a fatigue battle, Charizard continues with Dragon Claw!"

"You also continue with Leaf Blade!"

Both exchanged blows one after the other and impacted several blows on their respective rivals until they got quite tired.

"Let's get over with it, Charizard use Flamethrower!"

"Use Frenzy Plant!"

Numerous roots came out of the ground and directly hit Charizard, however, Charizard's attack also impacted Sceptile which fell to the weakened ground.

"A VERY SHORT BUT INTENSE FIGHT GENTLEMEN, CHARIZARD AND SCEPTILE DECIDED TO WEAR EACH OTHER DOWN UNTIL IN THE END ONE OF THEM FELL WEAK!"

"You've done well Sceptile" – said Wendy returning her Pokémon to her Pokéball.

Then he looked at me.

"You may have weakened 5 of my Pokémon, but the next one is my ace and will weaken the 3 you have left, go ahead Snorlax!" – said Wendy.

And his Snorlax came out of his Pokéball.

"It's that Snorlax!" – I exclaimed in surprise.

"That's right and you can't imagine how strong we've become since then!" – he nodded.

"I'd like to see it!" – I nodded.

"And you'll see!" – Wendy nodded.

Then she put on a bracelet, don't tell me...

"That's...!" – I exclaimed.

"That's right!" – he nodded.

"PARTICIPANT WENDY'S NEXT AND LAST POKÉMON IS A POWERFUL SNORLAX, HOWEVER, PARTICIPANT WENDY JUST PUT ON A DYNAMAX BRACELET, IT SEEMS THAT THE EXCITING LADY AND LORD IS COMING!"

Then Wendy took out her Pokéball and returned Snorlax to her.

Then small rays emerged from the bracelet and began to enlarge the Pokéball to a considerable size.

"Here we go, DYNAMAX!" - shouted Wendy.

He then launched the huge Pokéball and out of it came Snorlax which began to grow into Snorlax's exclusive Dynamax form.

"AMAZING LADIES AND GENTLEMEN THE PARTICIPANT WENDY JUST DYNAMAXIZED HER SNORLAX WHICH GOT ITS EXCLUSIVE FORM, I WONDER WHAT THE PARTICIPANT ASH WILL DO NOW!"

Well, I have three options, the first is the Mega Evolution, the second is the Terastal Phenomenom and the last is the Dynamax... I think sometimes you have to fight fire with fire.

Deciding what I was going to do I returned Charizard to his Pokéball and suddenly small rays were thrown to this which began to grow disproportionately.

"IT SEEMS THAT WE ALREADY KNOW WHAT PARTICIPANT ASH WILL DO!"

I just hope I'm not wrong, it's my first time using the Dynamax in Charizard.

"I hope everything goes well, come on Charizard, it's time to prove our power, DYNAMAX!" – I said.

And then I threw the huge Pokéball with both hands.

From it came Charizard which began to grow immediately afterwards until it reached not only an enormous height, but a peculiar form.

"AWESOME, ASH'S CHARIZARD HAS ALSO ADOPTED ITS UNIQUE FORM!"

"I didn't expect this Ash but I don't care because we will win, Snorlax use Max Rockfall!"

And a huge wall of very thick stone came out of the ground, damn it, if that rock impact it will cause a sandstorm and damage the vision of both Pokémon.

"Charizard we can't let that rock hit use G-Max Wildfire!"

Suddenly from Charizard's mouth a huge bird-like flare shot out towards the huge and thick rock and upon impact both attacks were nullified causing a huge smoke screen.

One turn less, I'm not sure how long the Dynamax lasts in the anime, but it doesn't last long either, it will be better to rush things.

"Charizard use G-Max Wildfire again, it's time to end this battle!"

A huge bird-shaped flare shot out towards Snorlax again.

"Snorlax use Max Lightning!"

A huge lightning bolt came out of nowhere and hit Charizard squarely, the good thing is that Snorlax also took damage, the problem is that my Charizard had received considerable damage from that attack.

"Charizard ends up with him using Max Wyrwind!"

"Snorlax ends with this battle using Max Lightning!"

Again both hit their respective blows but in return the turn of the Dynamax ended and both returned to their respective forms, Snorlax had received enough damage but Charizard had received two electric attacks very often and was on the verge of falling to the ground.

"THE DYNAMAX'S TURN JUST ENDED LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, AND APPARENTLY BOTH POKÉMON ARE EXHAUSTED!"

"We won't give up, Snorlax use Giga Impact!"

"Neither do we, Charizard use Flare Blitz!"

That's right, I had him learn that attack for his Mega form which is best with contact attacks.

Snorlax was enveloped in a bright light while Charizard was enveloped in a scorching fire and both clashed attacks.

The attacks were so strong that it caused a huge gust of wind that blinded everyone for a few seconds, but when we could see forward again...

"IMPRESSIVE CLASH OF ATTACKS BETWEEN TWO INCREDIBLY POWERFUL POKÉMON THAT RESULTED IN ANOTHER DRAW, BUT SINCE PARTICIPANT ASH STILL HAS 2 MORE POKÉMON, HE IS THE WINNER OF THIS BATTLE AND THE THIRD SEMIFINALIST OF THE INDIGO LEAGUE!"

It seems that I won.

"I seems that i've lost" - Wendy sighed disappointedly.

But I just smiled and walked over to her, shook her hand and we left the battlefield.

"You're very strong, it looks like I'll have to keep waiting" - Wendy said as she left the field.

"And was it you who decided that? Because I don't remember telling you what happened if the winner was me" - I said calmly.

"What do you want for your win?" - asked Wendy curiously.

"It's clear, I want you to be my girlfriend" – I smiled.

Wendy froze for a moment and then suddenly kissed me on the lips.

"I accept, take care of me from now on!" – Wendy said with a loving look.

And then we kissed again.

I must say that my relationship with Wendy took a long time to prosper, it was a relationship that took months to get to the moment where we are now but I am still proud of all this effort because thanks to that, I now have another new girlfriend.

*Note: Well, for those who say that this has been easy, the truth is that Ash has been improving his relationship with Wendy since that chapter where they travel to Galar, the only thing that as this story is more oriented to Pokémon and not so much to romance, I did not mention all the talks they had, but who knows, in the future I may have romantic episodes.
