Volume 1 - Afterword

Good day to all readers!

This is the author here with the afterword for the first volume.

I know I have made many mistakes and lots of grammatical and spelling errors. Thank you to those who pointed them out.

The first volume is over, and the protagonist has reached Pallet Town. A few readers expressed interest in the story if the protagonist accepted the sponsorship from Devon or Silph instead, but for the next part of the story I have planned, and because I want the MC to go start the journey from Palet

t just like we did when playing the Kanto games.

The story was slow-paced with plenty of world-building till now. I am telling you here that it will continue to be the same in the future. Even after he leaves for an adventure, he will not arrive on the town in one chapter, defeat the gym in the second and leave in the third.

Both the MC and I are going to take our own time, and slowly finish the journey.

I was questioned on why I tried to make the MC a Pokemon researcher. This is because sometimes, while reading other fanfictions wonder why the MC did not take advantage of all the stuff he knows and make some money, especially when the MC starts grumbling about his lack of finances. Here at least, the MC is going to be the first one to find and classify all 8 eevelutuons, find the use of Kings Rock, and 'discover' a bunch of evolutions and knowledge previously unknown, and make a small fortune while doing so. Also, with his photographic memory and immense knowledge, I feel it is a waste if he doesn't do some research.

Of course, the MC is not going to be Poekmonless in this Pokemon fanfic. He is going to receive a starter, but instead of immediately attempting the Gym circuit, he is going to take his time training his Pokemon and 'research' before he goes on an adventure.

You can expect him to actually go on the Gym circuit in Vol 3, which is around 30 chapters later. Until then, he is going to be in Oak Corall under the tutelage of Professor Samuel Oak.

One more thing I want to clarify that this is not Oak Corral, but Oak Corall. It is spelt the same, but written differently. It is an organisation under Professor Oak, which includes the Oak Ranch, Oak Laboratories, other holdings of Samuel Oak. I promise I will explain in a later chapter.

Again, this is a slow-paced story. I mean it. It's not for everyone, I get it. But that's what I'm sticking with.

Two regular chapters are due today. And one bonus chapter for 500 Power Stones is coming too.

From tomorrow, the update schedule will be 2 per day. The bonus chapters will remain 1 per 100 Power Stones. This is the schedule for the foreseeable future.

To all those who do enjoy this fanfic, I will try my best to keep my content good, and will not drop the fanfic, as I myself enjoy writing it.
