S4E25: Reunion Dinner

After packing their things up Foxx and Dawn started west on their journey only to stop first for a short dinner at one of the more fancy places in the town. To Dawn's surprise this was actually an idea of Foxx's. In fact it even Joy was a bit shocked by the action as they'd assumed he'd want to just travel and work on one of his inventions or something like that.

"May I get you anything?" asked the waiter shortly after showing them to a seat at a corner booth which oddly was decorated very romantic like.

"Two warm apple ciders with a hint of cinnamon." replied Foxx with a smile, "Oh and a bowl of water for Joy."

"I'll be right back with those in the mean time here are some menus to look over." replied the waiter before handing Foxx two menus and turning to leave. As for Dawn she was just looking at him not really sure what to think.

"Oh, I'm sorry did you want something else to drink? Fantina recommended the warm cider here and I figured we could both give it a try." half panicingly replied Foxx as he began to look around for the waiter.

"It's fine I like cider. It's just I never would've expected this much from you." replied Dawn before giving him a quick kiss on the cheek.

"Oh, did I do too much? I wasn't really sure so I asked them to make it extra special." replied Foxx with a half smile as he turned to face her once more. He could feel himself also beginning to turn red as he stared into her sparkling eyes thus he quickly hide behind a menu and added, "I guess we best figure out what we want to eat."

"Oh didn't Fantina give you any recommendations there?" asked Dawn as she pulled down the menu from in front of his face.

"Nope. Just said to try the cider." replied Foxx with a smile as he once more lifted the menu yet this time so he could figure out what exactly he wanted to eat.

"I see." replied Dawn as she picked up her own menu and began to scan it for her own meal decisions.

"Here's your drinks." interrupted the waiter as he dished out their drinks even a bowl for Joy before asking, "are you two ready to order or can I offer you a some appetizers?"

"I think we'll take a tray of chips and spinach dip and some mozzarella sticks while we look over the menu." replied Foxx looking over at Dawn for her input.

"I'll be right back with those while you get a good look at the menus." replied the waiter with a smile and a bow before turning to leave.

"So I take it you must have come into a good amount of coin to be buying me this elaborate and romantic meal." teased Dawn before taking a sip of her cider and adding, "Mmmm, this cider really is good."

"You know me I've never really needed much money besides I've always tried to take care of those I care greatly about." relied Foxx with a grin.

"Oh really you mean to tell me that there are others?" teasingly asked Dawn pretending to cry.

"My parents, Pa, and Joy, well actually all of my pokemon but Joy more then the others." replied Foxx with a smile as he slowly took her hand in his before adding, "As for you well you have a very special place in my heart."

"Now aren't you just the word smith." teased Dawn with a smile just as the waiter returned with their appetizers to which she added, "Well I think I'll take the peach salad with a side of fires and a bowl of soup."

"And I'll take the smothered burrito with a side of nachos." added Foxx when the waiter looked over at him. "As for Joy a nice protein salad."

"I'll be back with these in a bit, but in the meantime can I get any of you a refill on your drinks?" replied the waiter.

"Yes, please." replied Foxx and with a nod the waiter backed away before turning back towards Dawn and asking, "So after dinner I figured we can make our way towards your home and when we feel like stopping for the night I can set up camp. What do you think?"

"I think that sounds like a wonderful idea but we also only have two weeks before we're supposed to meet back up with Ash thus we should also make good use of our time." sighed Dawn, "That is unless you really don't want to spend that much time with my family."

"Dawn, I'm just glade I get to meet your family as well as spend two weeks with you, but I still don't think we should be in too much of a hurry that we miss out on enjoying each other's company." replied Foxx with a smile before he took one of the mozzarella sticks as well as a few chips and a scoop of spinach dip.

"I know but I also know that when I told my family you were coming they were greatly excited and will more then likely have a bunch of questions for you." replied Dawn as she too got some appetizers for herself.

"Then we just take more time to answer them. After all this is a time for me to meet your family and your family to meet me." explained Foxx with a smile. "As for Ash he can just chill and be patient because if it takes us more time then it takes us more time. I do plan on traveling with you guys for a while after we meet back up with him."

"What about your mission and unlocking the G.S. Ball?" asked Dawn a bit taken back about his declaration to continue traveling with her after the two weeks.

"It's been locked for who knows how long what is a few more months to a year." replied Foxx, "The most important thing right now is being with you."

They continued to talk and enjoy their wonderful meal as well as this special time together for who really knows what will await them the moment they step foot out side of the restaurant and begin there two week, possibly longer, journey. Stay tuned to find out more.
