S2E20:The Boss Battle

"This will be a standard three on three battle unless that Vulpix is the only pokemon you brought." laughed Giovanni as he selected his three pokemon.

"Allow him to heal the Vulpix while I get my other two from Misty." replied Foxx as he walked over to Misty and held out a hand before softly adding, "Can I barrow two of your pokemon?"

"I'll let you use Starmie." sighed Misty as she handed him the pokeball. Meanwhile Brock healed up Joy.

She then ran back to him as he approached the challenger post. Foxx then waited for Giovanni to choose his first Pokémon. Which was none other then his Nidoking.

I smiled as I knew it would be a challenge but at least I had the type advantage. So first out was Joy as she used her speed to dodge Nidoking's powerful attacks and make small attacks of ember in the process. Now she did take a big hit from earthquake but was also able to knock out the Nidoking.

Next up Giovanni chose Rhydon. So with a nod I summoned Joy back to me before sending out Eevee. This made Giovanni smile though he didn't know the secret of my Eevee. I had her play with Rhydon before unleashing a storm of razerleaf. This lead to it fainting.

Now frustrated Giovanni then selected Persian. He also didn't hesitate as Persian hit Eevee hard and fast thus knocking her out before she could land a single hit. Foxx then recalled Eevee but hesitated to send in Joy instead throwing out Misty's pokemon which she'd assumed was Starmie only for Psyduck to pop out.

Foxx just looked at Misty with a raised eyebrow and in response she mouthed sorry. Foxx just shrugged his shoulders before looking at Psyduck and ordering, "Water Gun!"

Psyduck just looked at him confused. This made him raise a hand to his brow and slightly message it. "Vul?" questioned Vulpix with the tilt of her head.

"Not yet." Foxx sighed as Giovanni took this time to have Persian slush or at least attempt to slash Psyduck who was just running around in circles trying to avoid the attack.

Just then Persian was able to land about three hard consecutive hits to Psyduck's head to which it's eyes started to glow purple while a purple energy field surrounded Persian as it was thrown all around the room and bounced off of all sorts of objects. In the end Psyduck exhausted himself to the point of fainting and Foxx quickly recalled him as Persian fell to the floor he looked down at Joy and added, "Finish Him!"

Joy then leaped into the air performing a powerful flame thrower before smashing into the Persian's side with a powerful tackle. Then with out missing a beat she performed a modified ember that coated her in flames while she continually bombarded the Persian with quick attacks. In the end she stood behind the Persian and with a huge grin roasted it's under belly.

Frustrated Giovanni called back Persian and as the rest of Team Rocket got ready to attack he started to clap and walk towards Foxx. "That was an amazing battle kid and even reminded me what it meant to be a trainer and I'd be pleased to give you the Earth Badge. As for Jessie and James' pokemon only on one condition. Well two because I want you to answer something for me first."

"What's your question and what's your condition?" asked Foxx as he knelt down to pet Joy.

"The question is why you care about those two losers?" asked Giovanni.

"What else would a son do if his parents where in trouble and needed his help?" asked Foxx with a smile which caused Giovanni to look at him first then towards Jessie and James then back towards Foxx. As for the rest of those with Foxx they all went wide eyed in shock and surprise.

"Really? How can those losers produce such a talented pokemon trainer?" confusingly asked Giovanni.

"One they are really good trainers when they are helping others as for the rest they must've figured I needed a better life then what you and team Rocket could give me because they left me on the door steps of Professor Oak of Pallet Town." explained Foxx standing up and letting Joy climb into his arms before adding, "Besides even if they had kept me I'd still turned out the way I did because they would've raised me right."

"You are a fool if you believe those bafoones could raise a child when they can't do anything right." laughed Giovanni.

"What was your condition?" glaringly snapped Foxx frustrated that he's mocking his parents even though he'd only met them a few times.

"Well simple. They quit Team Rocket for good." replied Giovanni still laughing.

"Deal. Now bring me their pokemon and we'll be on our way." snapped Foxx.
