(My POV)

After the battle with Pidgey, I drank some water from the bottle and then continued my journey to Pallet Town. I also checked my background information on the Rotom Phone. It states that I'm a citizen of the Hoenn region and currently an orphan, as both my parents have passed away, and I was sent to an orphanage.

And I studied in the school prepared for orphans. Only after turning 16 can a person become eligible to be a trainer. When I turned 16, the orphanage handed me the documents of the properties belonging to my parents and access to their bank account.

I have a mansion left by my parents for me on the outskirts of Verdanturf Town.

In the bank account, there is approximately 65,000₱, which is enough money for now. As I checked the PokéMart app on the Rotom Phone, I saw that the price for a classic Poké Ball is 500₱ and a normal Potion costs 400₱. Estimating my expenses, I can probably last for 2–3 months, especially since the system provided some money & items in the beginner package.

.

(2 hours later)

I commanded Beldum to finish off the opponent, a newly evolved Butterfree. So far, the Pokémon I've encountered have all been ordinary with no good potential.

I also switched on the Rotom Phone's DexNav function, which detects the surrounding Pokémon within a 1 km radius through the frequencies they emit.

What Pokémon I found were nothing special so far. I'm also beginning to get hungry.

"Rotom, search for any berries that can be eaten by humans & rare Pokémon near me."

{Search processing, Sir}

I then looked at Beldum, who was eating a Pokéblock, when a digitalized golden panel appeared in front of me.

"He has gained 3 levels in 2 hours, and all his moves are already at the intermediate phase. I guess my talent is very handy. The problem for Metagross is its lack of speed due to its weight and low base speed stat. However, this won't be an issue for my Metagross, as it knows the Teleport move—a skill not typically learned by normal Metagross. This gives my Behemoth steel tank a significant advantage."

{Processing complete, Sir.}

I suddenly heard Rotom Phone speaking. I shifted my attention to the phone's screen, where the map function was open.

{Sir, a rare Pokémon has appeared in the following berry tree area.}

"Let's go, Beldum," I said and started running through the path as instructed by Rotom. Ahead of me appeared four berry trees, with only one tree bearing berries safe for humans to eat.

I began walking towards the Oran Berry trees, feeling hungry, as I hadn't eaten until now.

{Rare Pokémon detected earlier has been found.}

I looked at the phone screen and saw a Tangela icon appear, indicating it was detected 180 meters ahead of me near the berry trees.

As I approached cautiously, careful not to startle Tangela, I noticed her near the berry tree, delicately holding a berry with her vines. Her presence amidst the lush greenery added a serene and natural touch to the surroundings.

A digitalized golden panel appeared in front of me.

"Prepare for battle, Beldum," I commanded, as I approached her confidently. She became alert, eyeing me warily, as if I were about to steal the berry entangled in her vines.

I approached her and confidently declared, "Tangela, I challenge you."

As Beldum and Tangela faced each other, tension crackled in the air. Tangela, wary but ready, vines swaying gently, while Beldum, metallic and determined, hovered with focused intensity.

"Beldum, use Confusion!" I commanded.

Tangela struggled to shake off the confusion, but its efforts were in vain as it was slammed to the ground by Beldum's Confusion attack.

However, Tangela quickly regained its footing and retaliated with a Bind attack. As Tangela's vines closed in, Beldum swiftly teleported behind Tangela, catching it off guard. With a powerful Tackle attack, Beldum struck Tangela from overhead, dealing a decisive blow in this intense battle.

As the tackle attack landed, Tangela staggered forward, visibly weakened but still determined. Its vines recoiled briefly from the impact, but Tangela quickly regrouped, showing resilience.

"Beldum, let's finish this with Confusion!" I commanded decisively.

Beldum's eyes gleamed with psychic energy once again as it focused its mind. Waves of telekinetic force surged towards Tangela, enveloping it in a shimmering aura of confusion. Tangela, already weakened, struggled against the psychic assault, its movements becoming unsteady, and finally, it fainted. I swiftly threw a Great Ball toward it. The ball wobbled twice before emitting a satisfying ding sound, signaling a successful catch.

After capturing Tangela, I retrieved the Great Ball with a sense of excitement. The ball felt warm in my hand, a testament to the intense battle we had just experienced. Tangela's capture marked a significant moment, its presence adding a new dimension to my team. I could already envision strategies where Tangela's resilient vines and versatile moves would play a crucial role. Anticipation for future battles surged within me, knowing Tangela's unique abilities would be a formidable asset.

A moment later, I released Tangela from the Great Ball to apply potions and ensure there were no hidden wounds. A white light emitted from the ball as the weak Tangela appeared before me, eyeing me intently.

I squatted down to Tangela's level to apply the medicine. As I gently administered the potion, I asked her, "Are you feeling okay?"

Tangela examined me closely, her large eyes reflecting the intelligence and perceptiveness uncommon to Pokémon. They can sense emotions such as sincerity, happiness, and anger. Detecting the genuine concern and care I had for her, Tangela responded with a tender gesture. She extended one of her vines, wrapping it gently around my arm, and nuzzled her face against it in a heartfelt greeting, conveying her appreciation and trust.

After Tangela's warm greeting, I gently continued applying the potion to her wounds, ensuring every scratch and bruise was properly tended to. The soothing medicine seemed to bring immediate relief, and I could see the tension slowly leaving her body. Tangela's eyes softened, and she let out a contented sigh, her vines relaxing as she leaned into my touch. I spoke softly to her, reassuring her that she would be back to full strength soon and ready for new adventures together.

After treating her injuries, I offered Universal Pokéblock to both Beldum and Tangela. Unlike regular berries, Pokéblocks are known to be more nutritious and delicious, providing the essential nutrients Pokémon need to thrive. Beldum hovered close, its interest piqued by the treat, while Tangela extended her vines to carefully take a piece.

As Tangela took the first bite, her eyes seemed to shine with delight. She chewed slowly at first, savoring the taste, and then quickly finished the rest with evident enjoyment. It was as if her expression was stating that this was the most delicious food she had ever eaten. Beldum, too, appeared to enjoy the Pokéblock, its normally Stoic demeanor softening as it consumed the treat.

Seeing their joy brought a warm smile to my face. I felt a sense of accomplishment, knowing that I had provided something that made them so happy. This small moment of shared joy strengthened our bond, reminding me of the importance of taking good care of my Pokémon, not just in battles but in every aspect of their well-being.

I also plucked a few Oran Berries using my psychic abilities, the vibrant blue fruit floating gently towards me before I caught them in my hand. Sitting down next to Beldum and Tangela, I took a bite of an Oran Berry. The sweet-sour taste burst in my mouth, refreshing and invigorating.

As I savored the flavor, I took in the scenery around us. The sun cast a warm, golden glow over the landscape, illuminating the lush greenery and sparkling water nearby. Wild Pokémon played in the distance, their carefree movements a testament to the peace and harmony of this place.

The beauty of this world was overwhelming, and I felt a deep sense of gratitude for being a part of it. The thought of keeping this world as pristine and beautiful as it was now filled me with determination. I silently vowed to protect and nurture this environment with the utmost of my capabilities, ensuring that future generations could enjoy its splendor just as I did in this moment.

With this promise in mind, I looked at Beldum and Tangela, who seemed equally content and happy. Their trust and companionship meant everything to me, and I knew that together, we could face any challenge that came our way. This bond, this connection with my Pokémon and the world around me, was something truly special, and I was committed to preserving it for as long as I could.
