There were twenty heavy-duty armored men around me. Four in the front, five on each side, and the rest behind me. I guess they figured that they needed stronger soldiers to tackle me instead of weak ones because their armory was more secure and loaded in "that" part of the body.
I didn't know where they are taking me, except for the fact that I was going to some "chamber." PRISON maybe?!
Not that I cared anymore. (-_-) My life was in continuous threat nowadays. I need to harden up to get used to it. Now that I have to lick boots while I am at. Exactly... WHOSE IDEA WAS THAT?
There was one thing I noticed while I was "sightseeing" my surroundings. Wherever I went- there was a dark hallway with torches everywhere. No windows. I can't even goddamn tell if a day passed or not!
I walked passed more lion, wolf, tiger, bears, and fox heads hanging on the walls. The torches enlightened the blood highlights on the floor.
Seems like a torture place.
The army stopped by an intricate door pattern in the middle of the corridor.
It seemed odd for such a beautiful door to stand in the middle of a bloody hallway. The door was imprinted with all sorts of patterns, it was seven feet tall, and made out of good quality wood.
And after that... nobody moved.
The hallways went empty and silent suddenly.
"...W...walk in..." someone coughed.
I looked at them. Why are they staring at me like that? huh?! You think I am coming to kill you or something.
This must be a trap!!
No wonder why they weren't opening the door and letting me open it instead?
It must be a test! You think you could trick me, Masked man!?
I clicked my tongue.
"...why must I walk in?" I tell them.
"Because it's the Leader's orders."
"..." I don't say anything.
"Then why aren't you opening the door?"
"Leader's orders. We cannot enter this part of the building without supervision."
"They why are you letting me in? Without Supervision??"
"...leader's orders."
"Okay then... just open the door and I will walk in..." I try.
"...L-"
"-I know..."leader's orders."
"..."
"If everything is Leader's orders... then are you going to kill yourself if the Leader says so? Because of "Leader's orders."
The army flinched. "N...no... The leader doesn't do that..."
Okay, Leader does that... doesn't do that. Masked man- what was the world record for licking boots??
Suddenly a voice interfered:
"Young Lady- it isn't good to bribe people. Where are your manners?"
Everyone's eyes quickly shifted to the woman who said it. The woman wore tattered robes, blood spilling over her sword. Her short blonde hair shinning against the light of the torches and a pair of expensive emerald green eyes.
"M-Lieutenant Jade?!" the guards yelped.
But I didn't care about who this woman was or what her purpose was. What I cared about was the part where she asked me: 'Where are your manners?'
I raged inside:
WHERE ARE MY MANNERS?? Are you telling me that all the boots I have licked were unmannerly?? What Bribery!? Your father of a devil bribed me while I was scrubbing floors when dipping myself in a waterfall!! What my manners! Is everyone around me is insane?!
Lieutenant Jade chuckled softly at my expression.
"My~ my~ it seems as if someone very interesting joined this time as well... this clan may turn out to be very fun~"
"..." Is she treating me as a joke too?? Go ahead! Go ahead! I don't care anymore Hmph!
"Why are you all stalling around here? Blocking the road?" Lieutenant Jade asked, and all the heavy-duty soldiers flinched again. This raised my eyebrows. This woman seems someone from the higher ranks.
"Ma'am! T-the Leader asked us to escort this woman to this door." Lieutenant Jade looked at me with a cocky grin. Her heart-shaped lips formed onto a smile.
"...so you all are just standing there... not opening it?"
"It- it was not part of the orders."
"Okay then... just open the door but much better to punch it open." She told them as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
"Not part of our orders."
"I am talking about the Young Lady behind you."
"..."
Everyone looked to eye me. What?? Why is everyone staring at me like that?! I am not a virgin sacrifice! Not opening that door!!!
"Young Lady if you are concerned about traps... you are quite an onlooker." Lieutenant Jade said with a smile on her face as if she read my mind.
Great... there were mind readers too... just my luck!
Of course... I was almost strangled to death about five times less than 8 hours or so. That trap part was also quite expected in this bloody place.
"Besides what can go bad? It's fun to see what life has in store for us..." She chuckled to herself only and NOBODY followed her line of the perspective of life.
She must have been the only one not strangled and muddled to lick boots today.
"Alright~ alright~ I'm in on what you all think. But the leader isn't all that bad," she said when she realized that she was talking to herself in the end.
Sure... if he wasn't gunning your neck. And turning you into a SPY that is! Etc. etc.
"Alright if none of you can open the door, then I shall do it for you."
Go ahead! Fine by me!
She moved by the door and then studied it as if looking for clues. Her eyes were glinting at the door curiously. She seemed to be enjoying the attention of the people staring at her.
"...hmm... interesting... I wonder what kind of trap Leader has put in here." Her hands traced the intricated design carved into the wooden door. "Nice materials..." she said.
Tch... are you buying this? Or opening this?!
"What is it this time? I don't hear the growls of chained up lions or bears. Cannot be assassins- he doesn't appreciate that behind the door. But that one would be a first. The leader is amazing at surprising people. More like shocking them."
Are you advertising?
"Well too bad!" she sighed loudly as she moved back slowly. She looked at me and then gave me a thumbs up.
Oy!
And then in a blink of an eye, she charged at the door with a kick as the door blasted open.
My jaws dropped. The audacity of these people to barge into the trap is quite high!!
