In the Fire Nation palace, in the main hall, Haru stood up facing the throne, arms crossed.
"Well, I admit, you don't need mind control as you can manipulate. The original plan was to mind control the Fire Lord. Now that he's dead, by his daughter, you're forcing her to use her grudge to destroy everything her father did"
Kyoshi said her remark as she stood next to Haru in her ghost form.
"I'm not forcing her to do anything." Haru shrugged as he muttered.
"You're using her mental state against her." Kyoshi rolled her eyes.
"I'm not using," Haru said. "I'm redirecting her thinking to another angle."
"That's hiding the truth."
"If there is one truth and a hundred person. We'll have a hundred different truths from different points of view."
Haru said. He'd learnt a lot of quotes in Wang Shi Tong's library. The hundred truth one was his favourite. Somehow, it absolved him of the guilt from the battlefield. He may have killed many, but he may have just sent them to their death early.
"That was deep," Kyoshi admitted.
He turned his eyes to the tall model like Azula, finishing up her ceremony.
Kyoshi had done a good job possessing people.
After her father's death, she was officially the new Fire Lord.
Of course, one would wonder why the staff of the palace aren't rejecting that.
The Fire Lord had brainwashed them. Haru had done the same — he correct their mind.
Azula, currently, was signing a piece of paper, written by the Fire Lord and the Earth King.
It says that the Fire Nation has to pay many of its resources as compensation.
They also have to declare a public apology for their crime.
Also, they'll have to take their forces back from the whole world.
—
Azula, knowing that her father would roll in his grave in the depth of see, signed it with happiness.
During the days they had taken to arrive here, she realised how played she'd been for her whole life.
Even if she were a prodigy, she was just a game for her father.
Haru had helped her to see things from different angles.
It was funny to see how he mocked her when her father shoot lightning at her.
It was as if he expected that.
Well, she felt gratitude. She'd a chance to repay her dad the favour. She'd expected that she would look scary to him. But Haru had smiled and said that he understand her. It's about her power.
Maybe, because he'd been so powerful himself, he'd been used at some point. That's why it was logical to understand her.
Also, he was as crazy as her. Crazier. For real, he was just talking to ghosts. Even she hadn't reached that level of mind fucked.
Azula turned to the staff of the palace. "Any objection to my decision."
"No, your highness." One of the ministers said.
It was quite suspicious how easily they accepted the commands.
Well, they did the right thing anyway.
Because if anyone opposed her, she would kill them without a second thought.
Now, as for her future plans. Azula decided that she'll enjoy her life as the lord now. No more wars, no more trying to be her daddy-best girl. She'll live a carefree life with servants rubbing her feet in the morning.
But at night, she will train. For she'd yet to forget how Haru had kicked her ass and humiliated her.
Haru stood up in front of her, extended his hand, and took the contract. There were two copies. He would keep one, with the royal stamp of the Fire Nation.
"Remember Azula. I may give you a chance since you've seen the truth. But you know how scary I can be."
He got a point. Defeating the fleet of her father with a flick of his finger wasn't something to take lightly. Not to mention that he could use lava and bend it. He could even play the metal. Technically, he was the most advanced earthbender, who had the heart to kill. She was his fire version.
"Oh please. You only won because I let my guard down." She scoffed.
Although she said that, she had a hidden goal. It was to assure a rematch.
"Unbelievable." He sighed and rolled his eyes. "Try challenging me again, and we'll see how that will go."
Great. She got a free ticket for a rematch.
"Let's see. One day we'll fight. Unless you're coward enough, you'll refuse."
"Yeah, whatever." He replied, not regarding her highly. But he seemed to hold his laugh. Was he mocking her?
Azula smirked. Everyone and their day.
Surprisingly, she no longer hated him.
Not after her father had tried to kill her so Haru get killed.
Too bad that he's dead now. Azula wanted to tell him how far she hated him.
She hoped that he was seeing everything from the afterlife.
There had been cases for human souls to come and appear in the material world.
The afterlife was believed to be true, so the reincarnation.
Probably, having a romantic affair with his worse enemy would make him tortured. Well, the guy is handsome for sure… and he's stronger than her.
"By the way, Haru, may I suggest something, to assure that our nations are at peace."
He raised his eyebrow at her. He seemed to get the hint.
Azula was already a bold person.
"Is it what I'm thinking of."
His eyes couldn't keep eye contact for long before shifting to her boobs for a second. He then looked at her again, after spending some time.
"Political marriage." She said. "With a child between you and me, both of the nations would be united and strong. So what do you think?"
Azula started feeling uncomfortable in her heart when she saw him thinking.
Of course, he would consider his idea. Nobody would want to get with a crazy girl — he'd seen the worst parts of her. Or previously the worse, since she'd gotten this new body.
"Will you stab me when I sleep?"
"I've been with you for days. You don't sleep."
"True." He replied, smiling.
——
Haru didn't find any harm in her offer. He technically had turned every staff in the palace that has powered into his puppet. He'd also been thinking of making some princesses make rule the Fire Nation in his stead. That would be great. Also, after having the upgrade from Kyoshi, Azula was a material for a wet dream — tall, curvy, big boobs, plus her initial beauty enhanced.
"So, what do you think?"
"Fine by me." He shrugged.
——
Azula smiled, spreading her legs slowly while staring into his eyes, wanting to know if he was going to stare.
She hoped she can speed up things.
That way, her father's spirit would get crushed before it reincarnate.
As Haru looked boldly between her legs, her heart started beating faster.
She remembered that she barely had any relationship.
Back in school, and even on the beach, Ty Lee had always been the one to get all of the attention.
Azula had always scared the boys to say away from her. She'd thought something may be wrong with her, or her look.
But Haru seemed to be bold enough. Ironically, he seemed to be the only crazy to be willing to put with a crazy like her. She had to hold into him, as he seemed to be her only chance. Also, it would piss off her father. Two birds, one fire blast.
"When do you want to start?"
"By now," Azula said. "Since I'm the Fire Lord, I can make it official in no time."
"Really?"
"I announce you as my husband," she shrugged, "as simple as that."
Haru turned his head.
The staff of the palace bowed and started congratulating them.
"Yeah, and as the earth king, I guess, I declare us a spouse." He crossed his arms, seeing to think that something may be wrong.
"Let's open the gifts, shall we." Holding his hand, she stood up and turned to the maids. "Prepare my room."
——
Haru looked as if Azula was guiding him.
He started thinking that he'd made a wrong decision. Are they really wife and husband now?
Technically… she's his first wife.
This girl was so fast for a lightning bender — is she crazy enough?
Nah? But he will put up with her.
Why'd he care by this point.
He'd achieved his goal, controlled the Fire Nation, and got them to leave the hell out of his country. People, his parents, friends, would live without bother. No longer jailed or work for taxes.
He turned his head. Kyoshi opened her fan, and she looked at them. "I'll be watching you two."
