"So it was the princess's plan to mind play me into giving my life for my family."
Haru took a deep breath. He had just interrogated a bunch of higher-ups. In the beginning, they had been resistant. They had tried their best not to say anything and shouted, saying that they rather die than spell anything. But as soon as Haru entered their brain, through dancing, he could convince them to tell him their plan.
It appeared that Azula, the princess of the Fire Nation, was tasked to go after him.
Her father had trusted her.
To the soldiers, she was a scary and authoritative figure.
Even Haru had to admit that.
[Hypnosis Dance up to level 13]
[Electromagnetic Bending up to level 3]
Haru was done by hypnotising a bunch of the soldiers. They were in a state between conscious and subconscious. Their brains were weak, and they would accept anything he would suggest.
Haru's hands were pointed at them, unleashing the same electromagnetic waves, that the Dai Li used to brainwash Ba Sing Se people.
Haru was thinking of creating mental blocks to erase their memories. Although his hypnosis dance isn't strong enough to do that to all of them, the waves he could unleash increased the effect of his power.
Kyoshi was behind Haru, advising him. "They are playing dirty. This is war. As long as you are willing to use what method you see fit, you should expect worse from your enemy."
"I know that." Haru sighed as he put his hands down.
Looking at the soldiers, Haru felt that he has two choices.
First, making them turn against the fire nation.
Two, turn them into servants for his nation and use them to craft.
At any rate, since they tried to claim the life of his people, their lives are his. And he doesn't care if anyone was thinking he's right.
The second option seemed to be the best.
It would take some time, to create a story and tell it to the stupid soldiers.
"For now, guys, you are trying to remember who you are, but you can't. All you know is, you're mix-raced people. The Fire Nation had abandoned you, and the Earth Kingdom took you back. They fed you. You love them, and you devote your life to protecting them. Protecting them is a must for you. You serve them and obey every command."
Haru then clapped his hand. The fire soldiers seemed to awake from a daze. They stared at each other.
"What are we doing here?"
"Who are you."
"Who am I?"
"Hold on, why are we wearing the Fire Nation emblem? They abandoned me, and we are part of Earth Kingdom."
"You too."
"Why are we prisoned then."
Haru had a small smirk. The effect of the hypnosis should last long. With each day, they will be more accepting of the suggestions he'd planted in them.
"You guys are prisoned because you tried to attack our people. For that, you are punished." Haru said.
"Hold on! We don't know what happened. They played us."
"Yes, we would never do that?"
"But when did we attack you?"
Haru turned with Kyoshi, put his hand behind his back, and walked.
"You will spend time like this, and reflect on yourself."
Some of them, subconsciously, started crying.
"What's your plan, Haru? I don't think there is a point in playing their minds."
When they were alone, Haru turned to Kyoshi, and he said.
"I can always trick them to deliver me to the princess, who, by her turn, would deliver me to her father. By then, I will break free, and I will take control over him."
"That's a sweet plan. But I don't think you need all of these soldiers."
"I'll make some of them disappear, saying that they were dead in harsh battle. I will let, a few survivors, take me."
"What are you planning to do to the rest."
"I will make their farm. Although Earthbenders are better when it comes to that, firebenders can provide heat."
"Hahaha. Provide heat. Hahaha." Kyoshi laughed.
"What?"
"It reminded me of Ranagi. Never mind."
-x-X-x-
Haru crossed his arms, staring at Aang who was walking around, without vision or hearing.
Aang seemed to develop a new sense. However, it was sensing with his feet. It was about sensing the air that hit him.
Haru shook his head, and he decided to take the easy path later with him.
Currently, he was in the middle of the village. Aang took off his plugs and blindfolds, and Haru started demonstrating him earthbending with a small rock. Aang was struggling to do the same. He was too pushover.
Thinking of the best way, Haru decided to implant the method to earthbend in his subconscious.
"Listen, I'll try another method for you, deal," Haru said. He doesn't have the whole time in the world to teach the young kid.
"Deal." Aang nodded.
"Now, keep practising these movements. You'll get used to them later."
"But excuse me. How can you bend, I mean, without making the slightest movement."
"First, bend with your whole body. Then, try to make fewer movements. Once you are able to bend like this." Haru shook his head to the left, and a piece of earth raised. "You'll be able, eventually, to reach the point where it takes your eyes to move, and then, you would bend with the senses. But I don't think you have to do that if you reached the Avatar State."
"You are really knowledgeable."
"Yes." Haru sat down, and from the ground, a chair appeared.
Soon, Suki and Luna came. Suki sat on his lap, smiling and kissing his lips. Luna came and massaged his shoulders. She smiled too and kissed him.
Last night, after the threesome, they seemed to get along.
'Polygamy is one of the benefits of the war.' Haru relaxed a bit. "Babes, can you massage my shoulder."
"Sure." Suki and Luna, each taking a shoulder, started massaging him.
Aang, clueless, smiled. "That looks fun."
"Wait till you grow up." He exhaled a long sigh. 'Hakuna Matata.'
Soon, the rest of the Avatar team came.
"So, how far your training is progressing." Asked Sokka.
"I'm doing well. Actually, I've learnt a new trick in airbending."
"That's good. But we don't have the whole time in the world. If you don't pick it up fast, what should we do."
"Obviously we'll stay with Mister Haru." Said Katara, turning and looking at Haru. Three seconds later, she blushed slightly and turned her face.
Aang seemed to get annoyed when he noticed how Katara looked at Haru. He said. "But I'm sure that he's busy. I don't want to bother him."
"Aang is right," Haru said. There is no way he's going to take a young kid to a war.
"So, Haru." Katara asked, "I've heard that you are the current Earth King. How is the war going?"
"We are gaining our territories back. The war is going to our favour, so far." Haru replied, leaning backwards.
"That's good. So, how are you planning to do with the South Pole resistance." Katara said.
Sokka seemed to get excited. "Yes. You should have met them. They are fighting the Fire Nation too."
"I haven't met them." Haru replied, "I'm pretty sure that they would join the United States of Earth Kingdom. I have opened the invitation to the whole earth kingdom. Anyway who is willing to fight along us is welcomed."
Sokka and Katara lowered their heads. Haru could understand what they meant. They were thinking about their father. Members of their tribes were in the Earth Kingdom, fighting the soldiers of the Fire Nation too.
Bumi may know something about them. But Haru didn't. He had more important things to deal with.
"I see," Aang said. "When I master the four elements, no one will have to fight."
Haru laughed when he heard the Avatar.
Kyoshi only scoffed, holding her laugh. "He's naive."
"Is there something funny?"
Haru didn't reply. He stood up and said. "I have to go."
For now, there is something he needed to clear. He needed to find the princess of the Fire Nation and spy on her using his spirit form.
"Luna, Suki, wait for me in my house, and help my mother." He then turned to walk away to an isolated spot.
Haru went to an isolated tree. Surrounding himself with earth to hide, he meditated and his spirit left his body.
