Chapter 4: Ability Copycat
Out of immense curiosity, not remembering such an ability in the game, Nova clicked on the ability to read its description, just like in the game.
What he didn't expect and never expected was what he read next...
[Unique Cursed Skill - Copion -: By using this skill, you can copy any skill or technique of any living being that has Mana only by making eye or physical contact, but it can only be used for 10 minutes and will have three uses per day, the skill will improve as you level up or evolve].
...
...
...
Floating his eyes repeatedly with his hands, he wanted to check if he had read it right, but no matter how many times he rubbed them, he always read the same text over and over again.
Silence spread throughout the place, only with the breeze and the wheat swaying next to his, but that peaceful silence was interrupted by...
"WHAT THE FUCK!!! This should be a joke!" shouted Nova. "This can't be, this is too good to be true!".
Screaming at the top of her lungs, again Nova's eyes almost popped out of their sockets, but a strange tremor spread throughout her body.
He understood it perfectly, he knew that this ability, well used, was going to be a disaster with his. Something so powerful and so versatile in his hands.
'Never mind the possibilities, it can even evolve' Nova thought. 'And one possible evolution may be that of the ability to devour any ability permanently.'
This information made Nova's adrenaline rush, his eyes sparkled with new excitement, his depressed state was behind him, at least temporarily, and his determination to be someone better and make his late family, this proud of him was all he was thinking about now.
"Brother, father, mother... With this new opportunity, I promise to be a son and a brother you will be proud of." Nova stated, barely holding back the urge to cry.
With wet eyes, he said goodbye for the first time to his mother praying to God to bring her to a better rest.
In the end, a new determination and rigor embraced Nova, he was like a new person, at least in attitude to that of Earth.
Although he was reluctant to accept that this was the Genesis he played so much in his previous life, he at least had to adapt a little, despite the unknown future he faced.
With the sole purpose of survival, he now had greater determination and motivation to make himself stronger for whatever had to come, even more so than his previous avatar, Lord Noah.
"System," asked Nova. "Tell me, we're in Genesis, aren't we? Tell me exactly what world and Dominion we're in."
[Originally, I shouldn't answer these questions, but since I'm part of you now, I'll tell you, though this will be one of the few times I'll help you like this], System added.
[We are currently in Genesis, specifically in the world of Stergard and the Royal Domain of Moon, we are only about fifteen kilometers away from the main city of the Domain, the Moon Capital].
With the explanation of the system, Nova's eyes sparkled with excitement again and a faint smile broke out on his face.
"It's not the best of results, but it's a pretty decent and even good one" confessed Nova, touching his fat chin in thought.
In the Legends Genesis game, The Genesis were the chains that linked the three main worlds, Stergard, Unteim, and Gottgard.
Currently, the world of Stergard is the mortal world, also known as the world of humans. It is a large world that is up to three times the size of Earth.
Unlike the latter, which has five continents, Stergard has no continents, but Dominions, each domain being: Dominion, a small territory compared to one or two cities.
Great Dominion, is as large as a Country, and at the end, the Royal Dominion, is as large as several countries and can even be equal to a continent.
Said by the system, Nova is currently in a Royal Dominion and if it were not a little close to the Capital, almost anyone would be envious of this, as living in a Royal Dominion is a great luxury.
But currently, Nova wasn't thinking about this. Stergard's Domain is where any Legends Genesis player starts, so naturally he knows all about Stergard and that includes his Moon Domain.
'I remember in my early days venturing into a forest, where I confronted a monster to get an item' Nova recalled. 'If I'm not mistaken, that item can come in handy next to the one skill I have. Besides, the forest is very close to a wheat field in this very capital, so it should be nearby.
After planning a bit, Nova had a big smile on his face, at this moment he was brimming with confidence, even though he knew there was a small chance of dying according to what he had planned, that chance would be nil if he didn't behave with extreme nervousness.
"System," he called. "Grant me the Stat Pack."
After Nova's command, the system had a single second for a strange, bell-like noise to ring in Nova's head.
[*RING* The player gets 20 player points which he can distribute as he wishes].
After confirmation from the system, Nova opened his Status with the order to provide the stat points. For his plan, he needed to maximize more stats than the others, but still, lit was no problem for him. After getting the item, everything was worthwhile in his quest.
In the end, Nova's status went like this:
_______
User: Nova Leiden.
Level: 1 [0.1% experience].
Race: Human
Class: None
Item: None
Skills/Powers: [Copycat].
Stats
Strength: 5
Speed: 3
Endurance: 7
Intelligence: 3-17
Mana: 30
________
After correctly checking the stat point consumption and that all stats were receiving it, he stopped looking at it.
Almost immediately he felt as if his body had always been carrying 30 kg of weight and now he was as light as a feather.
He slimmed down slightly, if before he weighed around 150 KG, now he almost certainly weighs 120 KG or even a little more.
The only negative was that he sweated quite a bit in that process, soiling his white shirt with sweat, even his jeans were not spared from being soiled by his sweat.
Nova simply shrugged off this fact and began his walk to his next destination.
