No need to panic

Uncle Ben was taken aback, not just by Alita's words, but also by the confidence with which she was saying them. It somehow scared him a bit and made him feel uncomfortable.

"You seem to like him very much." Uncle Ben uttered, throwing Alita off.

"Huh?" She asked, confused by his words.

"The prince. You two seem to be close." He expatiated and Alita's eyes stretched slightly.

"Uhmm..."

"No need to panic, child. I know you guys are married. But I want to know how it happened." Uncle Ben inquired and Alita sighed.

She bit down on her lower lip nervously before she narrated everything that happened, only leaving out the part where she now drinks blood. She knew he cared about her, but she couldn't get over the fear of him seeing her as a freak or treating her any differently from how he used to.

Her uncle listened carefully and to her relief, he didn't give her any judgemental look all through her narration.
