Chapter 1Strange Book

"Is this the old man's house?"

A male elf who stands about 1.8 meters tall asks, pointing towards a large dome-shaped building that appears to be constructed from an otherworldly, indestructible material.

The elf asking the question appears to be in his early teens. He possesses remarkable handsomeness compared to other male elves, making him quite unique. Additionally, his eyes have a touch of red, further enhancing his extraordinary appearance.

His jet black hair is disheveled, and he wears an oversized blue jacket over ragged yellow pants and dirty green shoes. His attire is rather peculiar and cringeworthy. However, the elf intentionally dresses this way to divert unwanted attention from himself. Despite his unconventional outfit, he still exudes a supermodel-like aura.

Standing beside him is a woman of similar height, also clad in a peculiar dress resembling that of the male elf. However, unlike him, the female elf has a thick veil covering her face.

Beneath the veil lies an unprecedented beauty capable of making any man salivate and drool with just a glance. Like the male elf, her eyes also bear a hint of red, setting her apart.

"Ryan, this is my dad's house," the female elf replies in a low voice while gazing at the building. This dome-shaped structure is the lone standing edifice in a vast, seemingly endless desert environment. However, this space exists within its own separate dimension and was erected by Ryan's grandfather.

"Will grandpa be inside?" the boy asks, stealing a glance at his mom.

"It feels odd calling him grandpa, considering he looks like a teenager," the woman replies with a chuckle.

"He really is peculiar... Why did he choose seclusion? Shouldn't we wait for the others before we disturb him?" Ryan bombards his mom with questions, a mix of excitement and trepidation as he anticipates meeting his mysterious grandfather.

"I believe we're making the right decision. My father has many children, and it would become quite a hassle when my siblings arrive with their own children," the woman replies, a bitter smile crossing her face. She refrains from revealing the true nature of her father, a pervert.

Ryan nods before he and his mother begin walking towards the imposing building. Although it appears as if they're walking, they are actually moving at a remarkable speed.

"This place is completely empty!" Ryan exclaims in disappointment, surveying a large room. The room is not truly vacant—it is a spacious bedroom belonging to Elaine's father, Alex Walker.

"He must be somewhere within the building..." Elaine mutters in confusion, also scanning the room. She no longer covers her face with the veil, as they are away from the prying eyes of others. Her siblings and their children face the same problem—they are too beautiful!

Their beauty and uniqueness act as a curse upon them. Excess of anything does not always yield favorable outcomes, and such is the case for the Walker family.

"Where could we find him now?! This building is even bigger than I imagined. It would take us a considerable amount of time to search it thoroughly. Besides, grandpa has a remarkable room," Ryan exclaims in awe, his gaze fixed upon the fascinating gadgets and artifacts within the chamber. If it weren't for his mother's occasional piercing glances, he would have eagerly begun examining them.

Suddenly, Ryan's eyes spot something on a finely crafted round bronze table at the room's center.

"Mom, look at that!" Ryan exclaims, pointing at a cylindrical object resting on the table. Upon hearing her son's words, Elaine swiftly moves toward the table and picks up the object.

The cylindrical item bears several peculiar runes carved into its surface.

Unable to decipher the meaning of the runes, Elaine hurriedly unscrews the cap, revealing a small scroll inside.

Without wasting any time, Elaine extracts the scroll, unwraps it, and begins reading it aloud.

"To anyone who is reading this now: I am currently not on this planet. In fact, I am probably not even in this galaxy by the time you are reading this. I know that this comes as a surprise, as I didn't inform you beforehand, and it might catch you off guard. I sincerely apologize from the bottom of my heart for not communicating with you all. I don't know how long this journey of mine will take or when I will return. But when I do return, I promise to surprise you all and reveal something about myself that you don't know. Take care until I come back, my beloved children."

Elaine reads the scroll, her lips pressed together with a mix of emotions. At the bottom of the message, a bloody fingerprint stamp is sealed. The scent of the blood tells Elaine that it belongs to her father.

"Dad, why? I hope you have a compelling reason when you return!" Elaine says, her expression tinged with slight anger, as she tosses the scroll onto the table and storms out of the room, leaving Ryan alone.

Observing his mother's reaction, Ryan releases a weary sigh.

"I wonder why she's so obsessed with her father. All of this doesn't concern me. She should just tell me who the heck my father is. Or am I a bastard?" Ryan shakes his head, redirecting his attention to a specific spot he had been observing before his mother's outburst.

A few meters away, there stands a large, floating, king-sized bed that intermittently emits a vibrant glow. However, it isn't the bed that piques Ryan's interest; rather, it's the reading table and chair beside it. Resting on the table is a massive green book that appears weighty at first glance.

Overflowing with excitement, Ryan rushes toward the reading chair and settles into it. As soon as he sits down, two glowing orbs materialize out of thin air, illuminating the reading table and allowing Ryan to see the green book with the word "Diary" boldly inscribed on its cover.

Beneath the word "Diary," a few tiny words catch Ryan's attention. Thanks to his special eyes, he can easily discern them.

"Beware of the skirt storm," Ryan reads aloud, his face marked with puzzlement.

"Mmm, what does that even mean?" Ryan mutters, perplexed. Nevertheless, he opens the diary to its first page.
