Certainly! I'm aware of that. I deliberately avoided creating an overly pitiful protagonist as seen in other novels; to me, that feels disingenuous. My protagonist is intentionally imperfect, possessing his own set of flaws. Yet, this doesn't justify the baseless hatred from Owen and the others. They claimed he was plagued by misfortune at every turn, which led the protagonist to believe he was as problematic as they suggested. In truth, this was merely a perception fueled by their disdain. There's an underlying reason for Okun and the others' hatred (which I prefer not to reveal). His experiences were simply a series of coincidences. Take 'Overlord,' for example: every action by Momonga is happenstance, yet his followers are convinced he's executing a flawless strategy, and he invariably accepts credit for it.
