Chapter 39 - He's dangerous

Feeling that his jaw was about to crack, Freddie twitched his whole body, trying to get out of Victor's grip. Panic seized him, thinking that this lunatic was going to kill him here and now.

- "Freddy, is that you?" Ada asked as she rounded the corner to greet him, but her gaze was immediately directed to his face.

- "My God, who did this to you?!" - the girl asked, grabbing Freddie by the face to examine. His nose was swollen and slightly curved to the side, and cotton wool was inserted in his nostrils.

"It's all right.. Listen to Ade.. We need to talk," Freddie said in a serious tone, grabbing the girl's hand so that she looked into his eyes.

"You can't just change the subject! I'll ask Tommy to sort out who did it!" the girl said, completely succumbing to anger.

"Listen, Ada.. It's about Victor!" Freddy shouted, which made the girl immediately stop twitching in his arms.

Returning to the room, Ade sat down on the sofa again, tucking her legs under her, holding them together with her hands and looked at her boyfriend. He also sat down on his chair, but instead of looking at her, he looked at the floor.

"Did he beat you up?" Ada asked, starting the conversation first.

"Yes, it was him," Freddy replied, still not looking up.

After a while, when the girl did not add anything after his answer, he raised his head and saw that she was looking at him with an empty look. Her face was pale.

"Isn't there anything else you want to ask?" Freddy asked, feeling strange under that look. He didn't understand why she fell silent after his answer.

"What do you mean?" Freddy asked.

"He never looks for enemies for nothing... You must have done something that made him very angry."Aida replied, then paused for a second and added, "You know there's one trait in the Shelby family.. We do not like when what is dear to us is taken away from us.. Moreover, Victor is not like all of us, if you think that Thomas is the most dangerous of us, then you are very mistaken.. No..
