"Hey, Noah, where's Victor?" John asked, still half asleep.
It was morning, so it was still dark outside. When suddenly John showed up at the Romanov residence.
When he went out into the mansion, there was silence around, instead of the usual noise. After walking through the corridors, he came across Noah, who was standing in front of a huge window and looking somewhere into the distance. His gaze was slightly dim, as if he hadn't slept at all all night.
- "D-john? V-Victor is busy right now.. You can f-wait for him with me.." Noah replied when he noticed John.
- "Busy? I don't remember him ever being busy at such a time.." John said, leaning against the wall next to Noah.
Standing there for a while, John looked at the blond guy next to him. His clothes were dirty, but instead of the expected dirt, there was blood, as well as on the gloves he was wearing, which made him ask.
"Why are you covered in blood?" John asked, looking at Noah.
- "I brought a man who interferes with Victor's affairs.." - Noah said with a cold tone.
- "I see.. Still, my guess was correct.. He's quite a gangster .."- said John rubbing his chin.
He roughly understood how Victor was behaving. His charisma, his incredible ability to fight was clearly not intended for the ordinary stay-at-home that he pretends to be.

Hearing the sound of footsteps, two guys turned around and saw Victor walking down the corridor. His hands were completely stained with fresh blood and instead of the collected hair, they were loosened covering part of his face.
- "Uh..." - looking at such a Victor, John could not help but swallow.
- "What is John.. Why did you come here?" Victor asked, pushing his hair back and picking up a rag that Noah handed over to wipe his hands.
- "If it's about my personal training with you, then I'm a little busy." - after these words, he put a dirty rag in John's hands and left.
- "Wait! Polly asked me to tell you to come to her."- John said quickly, because he was afraid that if he didn't, his aunt would give him a beating at home.
- "Why does she need me?" - Victor asked, stopping without turning back.
- "I don't know.. " John replied.
Without saying anything, Victor continued to go to his office.
...
A little later in her apartment, Polly was sitting on a chair and reading a newspaper. Her gaze darted over one of the pages, carefully reading every word. It was a routine for her to do this every morning.
- "Polly.. I came because John informed me that you want to meet me." - she heard Victor's voice behind her.
- "Sit down.. Polly said and put the newspaper down on the table.
She looked at Victor who didn't look in the best condition. His pale face and dark circles under his eyes indicated that he had obviously not slept well. She didn't like the fact that he had been immersed in work again lately.
"When was the last time you spent the night at home?" Polly asked.
"What are you getting at?" Victor asked, leaning back in his chair and looking at the woman.
- "To the fact that you left your woman alone completely buried in work. I do not know why you work so hard, but you should at least report to the girl where the hell you are! I know that you've had a lot of things to do lately, but that's no reason to be irresponsible." the woman replied and got up from her chair and approached Victor.
"Did she ask you to talk to me?" Victor asked.
He knew that he was constantly at work these days. But I was also worried about the situation with time. He felt he was missing something, but he didn't know what it was.
- "No, I'm telling you this personally from myself." Putting her hand on his shoulder, Polly hesitated a little and said: "When are you going to marry Emily?"
It seemed after this question, Victor finally showed a lot of emotions on his face. It was strange for him to hear such a thing from Polly. It wasn't that he didn't want to talk about this topic, he just felt that it wasn't the time for it yet.
Grabbing the woman's hand, he looked into her eyes and said, "Sooner or later it will happen. You don't need to remind me of that."
"I'm just worried about you.. Emilia is a good girl, so take care of her and don't delay it. What if she's already pregnant?" Polly said that Victor's eyes widened after these words.
"What do you mean by those words?" Victor asked with a tremor in his voice.
He didn't mind having a child. But now is not the time for that. He still has a lot of unfinished business that needs to be done. But if a child appears, it will greatly affect the implementation of the plan.
Moreover, Emilia was still young and she still did not need to take care of the child.
- "That's by the way.. So that you don't delay it. I know you're a good guy and you won't chase every skirt you see, but still. Do it as quickly as possible. Polly said, and sat down at the table again.
"Is that all you wanted to say?" Victor asked in a tired voice, feeling even more exhausted after this conversation.
- "And again.. I want you to look after Aida. I can't ask the other boys about it, as they are constantly busy. Polly said, lighting a cigarette and adding: "Lately, I've noticed that she doesn't spend the night at home.."
- "And as you can see, I'm probably walking?" - he said, lightly pointing his finger at his face.
- "The girl just fell in love, what's the big deal?" Victor asked.
"I'm afraid she doesn't realize the whole situation. She's Shelby! What if she gets pregnant without a husband? They'll start calling her a whore!" said Polly, feeling a headache coming on.
When Polly spoke, Victor's gaze lifted. He finally understood some of her words. That the plot of sharp visors is about to begin. And apparently Ada is out with Freddie Thorne right now.
- "I'll think about it.." - Victor replied and got up to leave.
