Thirteen

In a few months, our freshman year starts. Tomas hung out and stayed the night a lot throughout the summer while Ashlyn spent most of it at her grandma's. When she came back, we took some time to catch up. It was a very hot day so we were in my backyard sitting by the pool, talking; Ashlyn asked "So Casey how'd your mom take you guys dating?" Tomas grabbed my hand "I got a long lecture from my dad and her mom." I laughed and pushed him into the pool "They weren't surprised, they were expecting it but yes we both got two lectures." He pulled me in with him by my arm, I splashed him "You're such a jerk!" He pulled me to his chest and kissed my cheek "Hey karma for pushing me in sweetheart!"
