Thrust into untold amounts of different situations follow the many members of the cast and their struggles to survive in this new world. What to expect Daily/semi daily uploads. Generally at least one chapter around 2k words per day will be released. Sometimes there will instead be double upload days. Though breaks will be taken after such releases. Anthology type story, frequently switching between the POVs of multiple main characters. Generally once every few chapters. Multiple main characters as well as time jumps. When the POV switches expect drastic jumps in the strength differences between specific characters. Certain points of view may also take place further into the future, or in the past. World building based on getting the point of view of many different characters. You as the reader will generally be privy to more information then a character due to being able to piece a lot more of the system together by reading from multiple points of view. Despite being an anthology, the story will still frequently switch back and forth between certain characters. Generally a volume will take a much greater focus on specific characters for it's duration. Looking at a specific pair of characters for a long period of time before switching to a different characters POV for a chapter or two, then switching back to the characters that are being focused on.

Drip... Drip... Drip... Drip...

"Huh?"

Jaden sat up and felt a trickle of water stream down his face. Wet dirt parting at his fingers as he clutched at the ground. He seemed to be in some sort of... Gigantized forest? Massive leaves above him dripped water, a shimmering picture of natural beauty... It left Jaden stunned for a moment.

But then that illusion of brilliance faded as he realized what exactly was happening.

"No way... Status?"

Jaden almost fainted on the spot, but shook his head clear. "What the hell..." Why me? Why do I need to get literally isekaied?! Come on! And what the hell is this?! Beast tamer without any tamed beasts? What the hell am I supposed to do?  skills?

Class skills

Apprentice tamer contract I, By magically touching a creatures body offer them either a servant or mutual contract. Mutual contracts create a link between the two parties and allow summoning of either participant if the appropriate skills are possessed. Servant contracts create a link as well, but the contractee must follow orders, and cannot summon the contractor.

Apprentice summoning I, summon contracted creatures to your side.

Apprentice magic proficency I, grants basic knowledge of magic and how to use it.

He gave the skills a few looks, nothing immediately helpful about these came to mind.

That voice was serious, he really was in a different world right now...

Jaden heard a distant howl, snapped out of his stupor, and very suddenly felt the need to get moving. But he had to find something first. Whatever that voice was, it had said something that could help him would be nearby when he woke up. Whatever that was, he very much wanted to find it.

Jaden stood up shakily, his entire back was caked in mud and it was supremely uncomfortable. But luckily for him there wasn't any inside of his clothes. Speaking of his clothes, very, very medieval style. Which he might normally be opposed to. But given the leather armor he was in was keeping the mud away from his underclothes for the most part, he found himself not being very upset.

With a momentary bliss Jaden stretched out his cramped limbs. After that he blinked a few times, getting the ambient moisture out of them. He was alert and ready.

Alright... What the hell am I looking for here?

Jaden walked around haphazardly glancing around the forest of plant matter. Jaden wasn't quite sure how close this thing that he was supposedly near was, nor what exactly it was. But maybe otherworldly beings of power had some way to force it? Regardless... This was pretty damn anxiety inducing.

He didn't want to go to far from where he'd awoken, in fear that what he was supposed to find was right there. But he also couldn't be sure if it was further away either... But as he paced around nervously, he felt something call to him. Not a literal call, but something mentally drew him away. And Jaden felt a bit more confident going along with this then stumbling around doing nothing.

As he got closer, Jaden thought that this might be some kind of trap. Afterall, if he was in a video game world he figured an attack like that might exist... But he was already going at this point. He could either move forward or turn back and get nowhere. Jaden chose the former.

Something about the air felt different, an unseen energy that Jaden could feel was raw in the air. Something about it energized him, empowered his body. And more then ever he felt drawn to the source. The droplets constantly falling from the forest slowed, and eventually came to a halt. Then, Jaden saw it.

A single black egg sat stone still within a shallow murky pond. Jaden could FEEL the energy coming off of the egg. It's very presence acting as some sort of energizer to everything nearby. The dark water shimmered with an unnatural light, the leaves nearby seemed just the slightest bit greener. Light leaked past the dense line of foliage just a little better.

He waded forward in a semi-trance, boots soaking with cold water. But he didn't care, this had to have been it. Whatever that voice had said would help him, this must've been it. As he got closer, he came to understand the source of this energy. It was life, life itself. This egg was important, he couldn't tell what for, nor why, He just knew. This egg MATTERED. In a way more then petty survival or politics, it would be something in this world.

CRCK

A hairline crack formed in the egg as Jaden picked up the large egg, cradling it in his arms he walked back out of the pond and gently set it down on the ground. Whatever it was, it was freezing. It might be important, but as of this moment it couldn't fend for itself. With tentative hesitation, he held the egg close and warmed it with his own body. The chill seeped into his bones. It was cold, so very cold. But despite himself, something otherworldly whispered to him.

CRACK

More fractures formed as the egg began to break. Jaden waited with bated breath to see what was born of it,  CRCK, CRACK, Pop!

A small claw broke out of the egg, and out of it, more followed. A small scaly body clambered out of the egg and into Jaden's arms. Sort of similar to a cat in shape and size, it lazily clung to Jaden and pressed against his shoulder.

Jaden let the egg fall away, crashing against the ground as he held the little creature closely. And then he felt a sharp pain in his shoulder.

"OW!" With a start Jaden pulled the monster away from him. All at once it felt like a trance had broken. The forest seemed a little less bright, the monster seemed a lot less important. This prick.. . Was that all fake!? The little beastie yawned innocently as Jaden dropped it down onto the ground. It landed with little issue, though it shook itself out a bit.

"What the hell was going on with me?!" Jaden stammered out in shock as he rubbed at his shoulder. It was a light wound, but it had managed to pierce through the leather shoulder pad he had on. Though shortly after he saw something else.

"Attempted contract! Do you accept a servant contract with, Level 1 Lesser Blacklight Wyrm?"

Whhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa?

Zack stared down at the creature lounging at the ground, it yawned again and looked up at Jaden. Who now took notice of it's orange pupils and black iris. It was... Kind of a mesmerizing gaze.  No! do not fall into that again Jaden! What the hell is with this thing? I almost went into a trance again just looking at it!

Jaden stared at the little thing and picked it back up. Holding it by the shoulders, it yawned again.

"No. I would NOT like to accept a servant contract."

The little thing looked at him bewildered before yawning it's mouth open again. And then promptly chomping down on Jaden's finger.

"Agh! Sunnuva!" He immediately flailed his arm, but the wyrm had already let go of his hand. Now it clung to his arm as tightly as possible, holding on for dear life.

"Contract attempted! Do you accept a mutual contract with, level 1 Lesser Blacklight wyrm?"

"...Skills."

He gave the "contract" skill a few looks, and after a bit of deliberation... "Yes, I accept a mutual contract."

"Creating mutual contract with, level 1 Lesser Blacklight Wyrm."

Where the Wyrm had bitten Jaden, he felt his finger begin to tingle. The feeling spread outwards and his hand began to itch, uncomfortably so. The feeling was short lived though, and it quickly dissipated. Though once it stopped...

Level up!

+1 dexterity, +2 constitution, +1 wisdom, +2 capacity, +1 intelligence, +2 charisma, +2 manipulation.

Level up!

+1 dexterity, +2 constitution, +1 wisdom, +2 capacity, +1 intelligence, +2 charisma, +2 manipulation.

During this, the wyrm had been crawling up Jaden's arm. Which he'd been allowing, because it wasn't scratching him. At least not that he could feel. And after climbing all the way up, it settled down on his shoulder.

Once the itchy feeling dissipated, he felt something new. A foreign voice in his head, a raspy but young sounding creature speaking directly into his brain.

"Huuuunnnngry..."

Oh boy...
