Paragon Of Death

This is the story of a youth who attained peak strength in all three cultivation pathways: soul, energy, and body, due to a one-of-a-kind event that gave him the talent to cultivate them when he was twenty years old.   All of this occurred in a universe ruled by God. But after that unique event, he traveled to another universe with his own harem.   But does everything proceed as planned?   This is the tale of a transmigrated youth who wanted power. Not for godhood nor immortality.   He'd do all in his power to become Death itself!   === Notice: This is the first novel of mine, the second one is [Rise Of The Nefarious Devil]. The maim point for these is that this novel would be around seeking questions about what death is, while the other novel about what good and evil is.

31- Talk with Katrina

-

Adel sighed in relief as he saw how there were about 20 white karmic stars in his chest, implying that he wouldn't face any step four beast anymore, nor any extreme dangers on the way.

He then started looking around, as he was extremely worried about what could've happened to Katrina.

He then felt a heartbeat within his soul energy range while sleeping on a bed, making him sigh in relief.

He then got closer to her, before looking into her eyes with a complicated glint, thinking - 'I'll visit that beast's clan. Once I get my hands on the mind-manipulating art, I'm going to check whether there are sealed memories in her or not. But if that's not the case...'

He let thinking for hours, sighing here and there, and before he knew it, Katrina woke up, rubbing her eyes with her cute little hands before speaking in a sleepy tone:

"Adel, what happened? All I saw was you separating from me... Then you looked around in a frenzy, as if you were scared of something... And then now I woke up from my sleep... So can you tell me what happened? " Katrina said, though she kept yawning between her sentences as she had just woken up from her sleep.

Adel didn't know what to do, he was in a tight spot. He didn't know whether to tell Katrina what happened or keep it a secret...

Katrina noticed his worry, making her put a smile on her face that removed all of Adel's worries, before she continued:

"Actually, Brother Adel isn't forced to say what you don't want me to know. I too have some secrets that I want to tell you.

As you've probably noticed, both of us have the talent to cultivate the three pathways. I'm not sure how you noticed my energy fluctuations, but that only means that Brother Adel's secret isn't something that I can know without being incorporated into some form of danger.

You see, brother Adel, I'm actually adopted. That's why both my parents, or now step-parents, haven't given me in some sort of political marriage, due to them not having a child and me being their sole one. " Katrina paused, letting Adel some time to assimilate her words.

Adel wasn't shocked though, as that perfectly explained how her talent was so high, and her parents couldn't reach the fourth step if they had the same talent as her.

After all, she could reach the fourth step in a matter of decades after researching the way to break through, similar to Adel's past life. Back then, he had enough talent that was unlocked by his bloodline, to serve its purpose until he reached the peak of all pathways; which he'd assumed was similar to what would've happened to Katrina if he weren't to cross over to this body.

But they weren't all that similar, because she was never a mortal, but rather an orphan with unknown origins...

Katrina had a smile bloom on her face as she saw how Adel didn't ask more private questions that she didn't know the answer to, like "Then what are your origins?" "How is your talent so high?" and such questions.

She herself was shocked at Adel's talent. After all, Adel never had any talent before when he cultivated, but when he reached her clan, he seemed to have his cultivation boosted.

But she didn't find anything suspicious about him, other than his being more confident than before when taking actions.

That's why she trusted him even more, and wanted to be his wife no matter what, and she needed to have her cultivation improve to increase the chances of him liking her back, since he might reach a height she couldn't think of in the future were he to continue at his same cultivation speed...

She didn't know why he was always so dense, but only after he came to the clan did he become less and less dense until she expected herself to kiss Adel earlier...

But that damned beast ruined it! She gritted her teeth in rage, thinking that whichever beast came close to them, it ruined her chance to finally do what males and females would do in their night activities.

Yes! She sensed it as well, as she kept vigilant all the time. But she wasn't sure what step the beast was on. After all, Adel was able to tell due to his already encountering more powerful beasts back on Earth...

She then shook her head out of her thoughts, before continuing:

"That's the emotional side of why they didn't give me up in a political marriage. After all, whether they love me or not wouldn't be the sole reason to stop them from giving me. Since no one can give up their own kin for the sake of benefit, let alone me, who is only a stepdaughter to them.

Anyway, the ancestors have checked my incredible speed of cultivation, and hence gave me a 4-star artifact that hid all energy fluctuations from me if anyone were to check my cultivation, or which cultivation pathway I'm taking...

As you can see, they've invested a lot in me breaking through to the fourth step, and perhaps even making me the matriarch of the clan..." She stopped talking for a few moments.

Adel got the vibe that he saw a brave woman who was in the middle of a battlefield, as the captain of an army, who had the lives of the soldiers as a weight down on her shoulders...

Though, in this case, Katrina is the young mistress who must be cultivated in order to increase their clan's influence and power...

He shook his head, getting rid of that thought, before remembering that only around 20 hours remained of his stay on the beasts' territory.

He then took Katrina's hand, before telling her:

"Alright, we've been here for a long time enough. We should leave now, to avoid arousing any suspicions from other young masters. Besides, what you said right now only means that some young master of your clan has an ancestor backing him, and he doesn't want you to be the matriarch.

So, both of them want to get rid of you, and make that young master the patriach. "

Katrina nodded, as she had similarly thought of the same thing before and arrived at the same conclusion.
