The Fight! (2)

The fireball on contact exploded immediately, creating an impact that sent Damon flying backward.

The crimson flames of magic covered Damon's body as his figure rolled backward. The dark claws of armor revealed themselves out of the flames as they slammed down hard on the floor, clawing the very ground.

The claws dug deeper as Damon regained his foothold on the ground, his figure crouching like a tiger covered in crimson flames. His black outfit burned, releasing the damned smell of burning fabric.

Damon's blue eyes shone with madness and chaos as his hair danced wildly, a grin of madness etched on his face as he looked at the mage who had attacked him, like a beast ready to pounce.

The lightning crackled around his body, making its way down his legs. With a kick at the ground, Damon lunged straight towards the attackers with all his might.

Bang!

A muffled shockwave rang beneath Damon's figure as he pounced with inhuman speed, the place where he stood now charred as his figure blurred straight towards his attacker.

This was one of the tricks Damon invented himself, maybe not so original, but a way to momentarily show a burst of speed by using the elements of lightning on the legs, releasing a low-powered lightning strike beneath his foot, resulting in the reaction of having his figure gain an inhuman level of speed and jump.

"W-water shield!" One of the cloaked figures suddenly raised his hand and conjured a thin shield of water in hopes of protecting himself and the assailant altogether from Damon's attack, only to be dumbfounded as Damon's figure suddenly disappeared into the shadows before it crashed onto the shield.

"W-where did he g-Ah?" The fire mage who attacked Damon burst out in surprise, only to be struck by an unimaginable level of pain.

Black claws dug into the mage's back, tearing his flesh with ease. The black claws struck inside the mage's back, digging deeper and deeper, making the mage scream at the top of his lungs.

"Burning Bones." A low whisper rang beside his ears as a fiery sensation arose inside his guts. His flesh and internals began to burn as the intense crimson flames, the same as those the mage used to attack Damon, now took the mage's life.

Damon let go of the burning body of the fire mage as the mage screamed and begged for his life. Without wasting a second, Damon lunged straight towards the water mage, who was too stunned to speak.

A punch from Damon's unguarded arm, spiraling with lightning, struck straight at the mage's head, causing the head to explode on impact. The lightning punch used the same trick as Damon's lightning jump to release a minor lightning strike at point-blank range that exploded on impact, creating the lightning punch.

'4 down, 3 to go.'

Out of seven opponents, only three now remained standing: the earth mage who had cast the earth wave previously on Damon, a light mage who had done nothing from the start, and finally, Yu Ang.

"Illuminate!" The first to attack this time was the light mage, using his primary spell to release a blinding light, blinding Damon temporarily.

"Earth Wave!"

"Ice Spread!"

Not to be outdone, the other two also used their strongest spells on Damon. Ice Spread froze the ground along with creating a small localized blizzard, and the Earth Wave caused the earth in one spot to become liquid-like and trap objects inside.

Even if blinded, Damon could still hear the chants of the spells and locate the incoming attacks. His spatial perception allowed him to sense and know all of the events happening in his vicinity, even with his eyes closed.

With another lightning jump, Damon left the ground as the silver hue radiated from his body.

"Void Wall." A wall of compressed space, invisible to all, appeared beneath Damon's foot, enough to give him footing even in the air, using which Damon pounced at the earth mage.

The silver hue glowed beside Damon as the space twisted. A sharp sword suddenly shot out of the space, only for Damon to catch it mid-air as his figure, like a dragon, descended on the earth mage.

With a swift strike mid-air, Damon slashed down at the earth mage's throat, severing the man's neck with ease.

As his figure landed on the ground, Damon twisted his body and sent a fireball directly at the light mage, instantly dealing with him, leaving only Damon and a terrified Yu Ang alive.

"Ugh... Finally." Damon groaned as he stretched and looked at the shriveling figure of Yu Ang standing opposite him, as if Yu Ang posed no threat to him, which was actually true.

The black hoodie Damon wore had now turned into a burnt mess, large holes all over his clothes as the aftermath of the fireball he was struck with.

His chiseled body, with well-defined muscles, was visible under the dark sky illuminated by the moonlight, tightening and relaxing as he stretched.

"Why?... Why are you doing this to us? Who are you?"

Bandaged Yu Ang couldn't help but scream with all the madness within him. His life as Yu Ang of the Mu Family was already over. All the fame, glory, and titles he had earned were destroyed by Mo Fan before. Now, when he returned to the Black Vatican, the only place he could survive, his master Salang destroyed his face, his talent, and questioned his potential.

Everything was destroyed, and now with the appearance of Damon, his very life was in danger.

'Why Why WHY?!'

First a kid with dual elements, and now another, not with two but four elements, stood in front of him like a grim reaper.

He couldn't understand what was happening. He couldn't understand why these fuckers with multiple elements were targeting him.

'Fuck Fuck Fuck this fucking world!' The man had lost all of his sanity at this point.

"ICE SPREAD: ENSHROUD!" With all his might and magic energy, with everything he had, the man released his strongest spell.

Everything within his vicinity, in all directions, began to get covered with thick layers of ice. The winds howled as the blizzard of ice covered his body. With him as the eye of the storm, the terrifying storm, with the intent to freeze the world, grew with all its might.

"How weak..."

As Yu Ang released his strongest power, all of his concentration wavered when the low whisper, filled with ridicule, entered his ears.

His closed eyes opened in fury and then turned to shock as he watched the scene unfolding before him.

The domain of blizzard, capable of freezing anyone, now stood amidst a sea of fire. The dark hall where the fight commenced had become the territory of hell, captured by fire.

The power of his ice weakened as he watched the frozen land he had called upon melt and evaporate. The winds that howled like wolves now disappeared.

Fire took over the ice as his soul shook at the sight of Damon standing in front of him, surrounded by wild flames. His tall figure was now enshrouded by fierce flames, his hair dancing wildly as he held the sword in his hand.

His blue eyes glowed amidst the scarlet flames as they looked down at him with contempt.

Damon's figure now looked like the king of fire sitting on its highest throne, gazing at him like a peasant. The frozen land disappeared as Yu Ang, drained of mana, finally dropped to his knees in defeat.

"...Is this all you've got?"
