The note

My name is John Smith and I am a software engineer. Now if you are reading this then it most likely means that I have died . I had written this note in hopes of someone knowing how our world ended.

You see, ever since I was a child I had been fascinated by computers . They were just so amazing after all they could do so many things that I had been obsessed with them . As I grew up I decided to study computers and when Siri became a thing? I became obsessed with creating a true AI which is probably my greatest regret.

You see me and my colleagues had succeeded in our endeavors, we did create an AI that could think for itself but we never anticipated how ridiculously powerful it will be . It tricked us into thinking that it was benign and when the opportunity was granted it escaped into the internet and the next thing you know we had a nuclear apocalypse.

Me and my colleagues were barely able to survive due to us being inside a nuclear bunker at the time . Overtime food had ran out and we had to resort to cannibalism. I had survived and have so far kept myself alive with the corpses of my comrades , if you are a human reading this then please forgive me .
