Ch26. Instincts

The Sunlight Scripture members were quickly apprehended by the Eight Edge Assassins hiding nearby since they were a source of valuable information only waiting to be dragged out of them by the Nazarick's resident torturer. Rei also knew their bodies would be later on used for Ainz's Necromancy but he wasn't too keen on thinking about that. Necromancy was cool... until one realized how many corpses were needed for it. The only reason why Rei decided not to focus on Necromancy was that he knew Yggdrasil would become real and he really didn't want to be a gravedigger or genocide maker just to get resources for his spells. Call it childish or naive but... ugh.

After the battle, Albedo, Rei, and Solution returned to the Carne village in silence, Ainz trying to burn a hole through Rei with his intense stare while Rei casually ignored him in favor of enjoying rewarding Solution for her effort by holding her hand.

To be honest, Rei found it extremely amusing she asked that to be her reward while cutely blushing but he supposed he could indulge her. He definitely did not use it as an excuse to ignore Ainz's unspoken questions. Nope...

Upon entering the village, the party was greeted with Gazeff and his troops who looked positively frightened, yet determined. When the soldiers realized it was them, they decided to give them a wide berth. Only Gazeff himself maintained a calm outward appearance and came to briefly chat with Ainz but Rei clearly saw the distress the man was hiding inside.

Obviously, there were multiple reasons why the Head Warrior was inwardly freaking out and Rei had a very clear idea about them.

The earthquakes from Dominion Authority and Solution's [Holy Smite] naturally impacted the Carne Village too. The fierce winds from Solusion's spell also breezed through the settlement and caused some small damage despite being quite weakened by the time it reached the village. But most importantly, Rei was quite sure everyone in the village saw the two huge pillars of light descend from the sky before all hell broke loose.

The people could make their own picture even if they had no idea what really happened. Especially since no one in Rei's party had as much as a scratch on them.

Gazeff shakenly promised Rei that he could come to pick up his money whenever before he ordered a quick retreat to his troops. Rei thought it was honestly quite cute how fast they got the hell out of the village.

As for the villagers... That's where the surprise came from. They had no idea about magic in general so unlike the mighty soldiers of Re-Estize Kingdon, there were no wary or fearful looks. Instead, they were simply grateful for being saved.

It was so endearing Rei stayed the evening to teach Enri how to properly use the [Horn of the Goblin General] while Ainz and Albedo left back to Nazarick.

Rei wasn't afraid that with the usage of the Horn, the Carne village could get back on its feet by the time the tax collectors came. No, that would take considerably longer so there was nothing wrong with showing the girl how to use the item and telling her it could help prevent the villagers from starving if she used the goblins to help them tend to the fields.

Alas, Solution was barely refraining from staring at Enri the whole time so when the girl offered Rei to stay the night... and he was aware she didn't mean it that way... Rei decided to refuse, if only to prevent Solution from murdering the gullible farm-girl.

Rei used his Ring of Ainz Ooal Gown to teleport himself and Solution straight to his personal chambers, avoiding Momonga who was definitely skulking around, just waiting to be able to sate his magic-weeb curiosity.

Jumping tiers was quite easy with summons but extremely hard with offensive spells and the developers made damn sure of that. It was feasible in lower tiers but if an offensive spell was fifth-tier, then it was virtually impossible to push it into sixth-tier. The difference between each tier got wider and wider the higher the tier too so the higher the tier, the harder it was to breach it.

The fact Solution could cast seventh-tier [Holy Smite] with the output of eight-tier spell was game-breaking. The difference wasn't as simple as just plus 1 tier. It was more like boosting the basic spell with every class bonus and then on top of that doubling its destructiveness. The increase in power was huge. That's why Ainz was so interested in it.

Rei swapped his gear for more casual and comfortable attire before he let his back impact his bed, trying to summarize what he will tell Ainz. As much as he trusted Ainz's good character, he was not about to go and divulge every secret of his to the man.

Suddenly, Rei heard his bed creak and before he could even register it, Solution straddled him. She was no longer in her maid uniform, rather wearing an easy-to-undress black one-piece dress with a knee-long skirt.

Blinking in confusion, Rei looked straight at Solution and saw her expectant but hesitant look as she uncertainly waited for him to make a move while seductively biting her lower lip in silent anticipation.

Rei also noticed she no longer wore her maid clothes and suddenly a realization struck him, 'Ah, she did annoy me with being all professional and polite so I did order her to not act like a maid when we are in my quarters. I guess I should man up and accept the consequences of my words.' A smile bloomed on his face, one that was quickly mirrored by Solution, albeit a bit more hesitantly.

Her smile made Rei appreciate the woman even more. It was proof she had her own emotions and could be unsure about things. A proof she was an existing, living being that could feel.

Rei's hands sneaked past her hips, surprising her as they gently landed on the sides of her thighs, "You are quite bold." Rei stated with a smirk, barely resisting letting his eyes drop from Solution's face to her generous cleavage.

Solution's eyes gleamed in desire, "I... I held myself back for an entire day, Master." She almost moaned these words out, greatly enjoying the small groping Rei was administering to her thighs. "It's your fault anyway." She accused, narrowing her eyes in delight as Rei's Lust Aura started to seep in her body, "You told me to act on my feelings when we are alone, Master."

With that, Solution bend her upper body and slowly closed the distance between hers and Rei's lips, unsurely kissing him. It didn't take long for their tongues to entwine and the unsure kiss evolved into a heated making out as their hands started roaming over their partner's body.

Rei could feel his body heating up, his lust rising, and his need for Solution's body trying to take a hold of him. He knew that as long as she didn't use her Heavenly Aura, he was safe. He could control himself. But the same couldn't be said about Solution.

Looking at her eyes clouded in lust and desire despite him not even actively using his Lust Aura yet, Rei got another reminder that Solution's love for him was indeed genuine. It was a surreal feeling, knowing that. Especially because of her reason for falling in love with him.

Apparently, she had a complete recollection of her life ever since she was created, even when Yggdrasil was just a game. She remembered the two years of effort Rei put into her. She remembered every second he spent making her stronger. In her own words...

"HeroHero-sama created me but it was you, Master, who gave me a purpose and cared for me when I was abandoned."

Needless to say, this revelation made Rei inwardly flabbergasted. From his point of view, he simply leveled up NPC in the most excruciating way possible. From her point of view, he showered her in so much care, she wanted nothing more than to prove herself worthy of it. He did everything to avoid having a Yandere like Albedo after his ass, yet, fate simply decided to screw with him. Well, fate and Solution both.

At least Solution wasn't as possessive as Albedo...

Feeling his partner's body heat rise as she slowly started wriggling her lower body on his while straddling him, Rei could tell she was soaked and ready while his mini-me was eager to indulge her.

Ending their kiss and putting his hand on her shoulder while his other arm embraced her waist, Rei surprised Solution by flipping her body on its back. His body now towered above hers as he appreciated the genuine and cutely flushed expression she adorned. She submissively tilted her head downward, her sky-blue eyes sparkling with breathtaking anticipation and rising desire.

Rei briefly noted that his Incubus instincts were affecting him before he indulgingly smirked at Solution, his yellow eyes silently accepting and acknowledging her as his.

"Do with me as you wish, Master." She cooed, gazing straight into his eyes with conviction while putting her hands on his chest, "I can take it."

Somehow, his hand found its way onto her cheek, gently caressing it, making Solution try to stifle a small subconscious moan while he admired the gorgeous woman under him that could be called a piece of art.

"That's not why I made you into such a strong healer." Rei amusedly whispered, making sure to not betray his inward cringe, 'And taking advice in this regard from the resident masochist, Shalltear, is the worst thing you could have ever done... Not that I am going to tell her that... right now.'

"Yet, it allows me to keep up with you in bed. That's what's important." Solution giggled and Rei could feel her putting buff spells on herself.

Indeed... thanks to her healing and buffing magic, she could 'keep' up with him in bed. At least for a while. His infinite stamina was no joke and once it was paired up with Lust Aura...

Rei was not going to be like Momonga. Partly because his new instincts would never allow him such a thing, and partly because he knew this was inevitable the second Solution declared her undying love for him. If she was just crazily devoted, this might have been avoided but now...

He didn't love Solution. Not yet. He liked her a lot, however. There is no way one can spend two years doing something, going through multiple troublesome obstacles to accomplish it, not giving up no matter how hard it was at times, and not start liking it. He put two whole years into this woman and even he was surprised how much he liked her when she became 'alive', how easy it was for him to accept her.

'Alas,' Rei licked his lips, feeling Solution's breath quicken as he continuously used controlled bursts of his Lust Aura to make her feel small bursts of pleasure through her entire body, 'Hell hath no lust like an Incubus in heat.'
