Her relationship with Damien Sterling was a secret that couldn't be revealed. 

Catching Amelia Davidson's gaze, Emma was struck by inspiration. 

"Sister, you really hold quite the sway. Mr. Sterling heard you were at this hotel and made a special point of saying he wanted to check in on you during his meeting," she said, deftly shifting the focus to Amelia, who was visibly baffled by this assertion.

"Me?" Amelia could only recall their last encounter at the company's annual meeting, where she received a significant bonus from Damien for being an outstanding employee.
