"Grandfather, I was just going for a walk," Damien Sterling replied honestly. He wasn't sure what he was like before, but since losing his memory, he had held Mr. Sterling Senior in great respect.
"If you were just going for a walk, why didn't you take anyone with you? What if something happened? What would happen to the company then?" Mr. Sterling Senior's tone was far from friendly.
Damien Sterling didn't want to offer any further explanation. He just smiled and said, "You're right, Grandfather. It won't happen again."
Mr. Sterling Senior finally felt reassured by Damien Sterling's compliant attitude. He didn't remember how things were before; otherwise, his temperament wouldn't have been so mild.
"That's good. I hope you won't disappoint me," Mr. Sterling Senior continued, "Go get some rest."
As Damien Sterling watched his grandfather's retreating figure, he suddenly called out, "Grandfather."
