“I don’t know.” Cam doubted that Ruth was telling her the truth about this. “How much do you use?”
Cam looked at the wall. “Not nearly as much as she does. I’m not hooked.”
“Yet.”
“Ever.” Cam looked back at her. “I feel sorry for those that are addicted but they’re not my business. I’d be real sorry to see Gina that way.” She hoped Ruth got her message.
Ruth nodded. “I know where you’re coming from. You’ll be told next time.”
“Thanks.” Cam stood and exited the cell.
So you think you know where I’m coming from, she thought as she walked upstairs to her own cell. If you really knew where I was coming from, one of us would be dead.At that moment, she was more determined than ever to do anything, everything, to get to Ruth and her drug business.
