10. New Opportunity

Mama sent me a contact number and a photograph of her long lost best friend's son and wanted me to call him.

" And why would I do that ? "

I asked her.

" What do you mean why would you do that ? Do you want him to call you first ? Do you want to act like a woman all of a sudden now ? Is that what you want ? "

Mama asked.

What ? Act like a woman ? What does she mean by that ? Woman-like ? Am I not a woman in her eyes ? What am I then ?

" What do you mean ? "

I asked.

" What's in it not to understand ? I didn't asked you to crack some international security code ! "

She said.

" Well, I can do that ! "

I said stating facts.

" What do you mean ? What are you learning there ? "

She asked panicked.

Uh-oh shouldn't have said that !

" I am just kidding mama. "

I said.

" Ok fine. Just call him and talk to him and just get to know him. Be friends with him and... "

She was adding things in her directions so, I added one of mine.

" Sleep with him ! "

I said.

" Exactly ! "

She said without getting what I had said.

" What did you said, you spoiled brat ? "

She shrieked in anger, after a moment of silence, once she got it.

" You were the one suggesting things in the first place ! "

I said casually.

I know I have activated the live bomb by saying something filthy. And I dared doing it only because she isn't here to break my bones !

" Don't you use such filthy words or do something stupid. I swear, I will come there and break your bones. Don't think just because you are away from me so, you will be safe ! "

She yelled.

Yup, I know that !

" I am sorry mama. Don't worry, I will not do such a horrible thing at all ! "

Even if, I want to; nobody is interstate in me anyways !

" Just call him and be his friend. Know him. And keep that in mind that, you two might get married soon ! "

She said.

I choked on the water I was drinking.

What is she, some long distance runner ? Where is she running to ? What's the hurry ?

She just sent me his number and telling me that I will have to marry him ? Soon ? What does she thinks of me ?

Not that easy mama ! I am not gonna call him nor am I interested in knowing how does he looks. I have had my eyes for Artur only and I won't give up on him !

" What are you talking about mama ? Marry him ? I don't even know him. I haven't seen him yet, haven't met him and you are telling me to get married to him directly ? "

I shrieked.

" You dumbass ! I just said keep in mind that... "

She tried to cover up.

" You mean the same mama ! Keep that in mind means, that is gonna happen, so, you better be ready for it !

I know your code language ! Don't try to cover up, you suck at it ! "

I said irritated.

" Mind your language young lady ! Don't forget you are talking to your mother. Like father like daughter. Spoiled brat ! "

She said bringing up dad's topic.

" You are the one who spoiled me in the first place, mama !

Now please don't do this to me. Why are you forcing me on marrying him ? Just... just why ? "

I said helplessly.

" I am not forcing anything on you darling. I am just telling you to meet him, know him. I am not walking you down the aisle directly ! "

She said softly.

" But mama... "

I tried to convince her but she didn't listened to me.

" Shut up ! I am telling you nicely so, don't you dare go against me. Now I am telling you to just meet and know him.

If you are gonna cross me; I will walk you down the aisle directly. So, lady don't you provoke me like this ! "

She said threatening me.

God ! How could she flip this easy from being thoughtful to reckless one ?

" Mama, I... "

I was talking but she didn't let me.

" Shut up and just call and meet him, understand ? "

She said and disconnected without listening to me.

How could she do this to me ? I don't want to call and meet anyone ! I want to meet Artur and nobody else.

I didn't downloaded his pic neither saved his contact; but didn't deleted it either. In future if she asked where is his number or photo I must have a proof of it !

She mustn't accuse me of disobeying her and didn't even consider her words. Not that I am gonna call him or think about him but I must keep the proof.

My college helds a prodigy exam for second year students every year. If a student qualifies the exam, they directly enrol for 4th year and can skip 3rd year.

My coach told me to appear for the exam and save one year which we could use for different purpose.

It was the worst nightmare I had in my entire life ! I was already having my Kung-fu training, boxing and karate practice, college, tuition, assignments, internal exams, semester ends and now this !

I am almost dead with exhaustion. But I must do it. I am almost spending sleepless nights for forever. But at least I got some sleep in the morning then, but now ? I am dying to get few hours of sleep now a days !

But I must do it and save the extra year for extra skill gain. I stared studying hard for my semester exam and the prodigy exam as well.

And the physical training have gave up torching me with exhaustion. I got used to it now it's not tiring me anymore.

But this studying is going to be my death !

Coach told me that if, I cracked the exam of prodigy and saved a year, I can use that to learn decoding and hacking of higher level than mere a degree in South Korea; which I am definitely willing to learn. So, I must crack this exam and learn more.
