Chapter 32

3rd Person Pov

The moment Avyanna went far away from the camp where people had gathered, she felt the presence of two people following her from the trees. She took a turn and went to a more secluded area.

She stopped, and the two people revealed themselves. They were wearing red robes, and on the left side of the robe was a staff with wings on top.

"Oh why do you have such a stupid master." Avyanna couldn't help but facepalm.

"We're from the High Tower Guild. We received an order from the guild master to come to you." One raised his head. "My name is Alfred. We hereby ask what your requests are, My Lady."

"Hmm. From today, you must guard my surroundings. Report any things that are suspicious. Also, keep an eye on the Saintess that arrived at the party." She said this coldly and dignifiedly. "Do your duties accordingly."

They nodded their heads.

"Yes, Lady Brooke."

The three guild members disappeared quickly into thin air. Once Avyanna confirmed that she was all alone, she focused her mana on her hand.

"Come out, Hunter."

Hunter was the cat that Mayari gifted her when they met in a dream.

"Yes, Master." The black cat floats in midair facing Avyanna.

"Go to Yelena and make sure she is fine during this delegation." She ordered.

"But master—"

"I can handle myself." She cut him off and smiled.

"Yes, Master."

The cat disappeared, and she was left alone again. She brushed her hair back using her fingers and tied it into a messy bun.

She walks around the area like she's taking a walk in the park. However, she encounters goblins on the way.

She used low-level magic such as water blazes to shoot down the goblins she saw. The deeper she goes into the forest, the more monsters she encounters.

She used those monsters to cool off her steam that stressed her out. It's a struggle to survive in this life.

First, an evil saintess is targeting her to get into the body she's in.

Second, her body was slowly getting exhausted for an unknown reason.

Third, the mana leaks out of her body.

She thought that maybe releasing this mana was the best way to sustain it. But the more she uses it, the more it leaks and the more she gets exhausted.

She lay down on the grassy ground near a cliff. She gasps for air as she feels the exhaustion.

There was blood on her clothes that would hardly be removed.

"I should stop now." She said and blew air.

She looked at the sky, which was slowly darkening. The sky's color is a mix of red, orange, yellow, and pink. It was a beautiful scene.

"If only there was a camera right now. I might have captured this." She whispered.

She felt drained, her eyelids were heavy, and she couldn't keep her eyes open. She just let it close, and the second she closed her eyes, she fell asleep.

Avyanna's Pov

I opened my eyes and the first thing I saw was a tree. The moonlight shines brightly among the stars.

I felt my body aching and my head hurting too. Did I fall asleep? Well, obviously.

"Hmm."

I tilted my head on the side and saw a beautiful lady sleeping with the light from the moonlighting her face.

I felt shivers and my face started to burn.

Half of her face was illuminated by the moonlight.I raised my hand and parted her hair, covering her face. She is so beautiful. Such a mesmerizing appearance which everyone would want to have even if they die.

Indeed, Avyanna's appearance is much more stunning because she was written that way. However, my feelings for this woman are not ordinary.

I don't know if I fell for this face of hers. But I know that the moment I saw her, my heart started pounding as if we were connected to each other.

"Hmm."

I was startled and took back my hand. And then she slowly opens her eyes.

"Lady, what a fine fairy you are." I uttered when she fully opened her eyes and saw how her emerald orbs shone.

Her pink lips curve into a smile.

"Good Morning." She mutters.

"Good Morning." I said.

"Are you mad at me?" She suddenly asked.

"No?" I sit up from lying down. "Why would I be?"

"I... I was scared that... you might hate me." She stared at me sad-eyed.

"I'm sorry."

"You d-don't have to. I-I was the one who was wrong. I-I d-didn't k-know better." Her voice cracked as water started to form in her eyes. "I-I don't know... I--- I was... confused... I--I don't know.. *hic*"

She grabs me by the collar and her tears continue to stream down her cheeks. I was too stunned to react and I was in a daze.

"Avy.... I---I~~~~~~~~~...."

I'm lost in thought. I can't even hear what she's saying anymore. Her tears are so precious, why is she crying? My heart started to ache. I don't want to see her tears.

"Avy??"

"Avy?!!"

A painful and strong impact landed on my cheek, and my consciousness returned.

"Ah! Ouch!" I stood up and suppressed my voice from shouting.

"Oh god! Oh god! I'm sorry. I'm sorry!"

I could hear her panicking and I was shocked too. I think my face was numb. I can't feel my face down to my neck. What a force she used.

She also stood up from sitting and then panicked.

"Oh gosh! Are you okay?? I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" She was covering her mouth while reassuring me that I was fine.

I held my face, and now I can feel the throbbing in my face. My eyes are teary too.

"W-why did you suddenly slap my face?" I asked, stuttering as I felt the throbbing pain in my face.

"E-ehh.... It's because..." She then frowned at me. "I am here having a drama! I am telling you what the fvck I am feeling, but you're not even with yourself!" She shouted.

"Y-yena... W-what were you saying?"

"I said I have feelings for you." Her face reddened, and I was still processing what she said.

"W-what? Sorry, I didn't get that."

"You think I'll tell you again? Hmph!" She turned away from me, but I grabbed her by the arm.

"Yena..."

"I TOLD YOU I LIKE YOU! YOU GODDAMN WOMA-- Hmph?"

I couldn't suppress myself and I pulled her body onto me and hugged her. My whole system was shaking, and my heart was pounding loudly like drums. I smiled widely because of happiness as I whipped while hugging her.

"Avy, I can't... breathe!"

I let go of my hug, but I didn't let go of her.

I felt her gasping for air and I knew what expression she had on her face. She probably has a beet red face while frowning.

"Doesn't mean you have a big chest, you can suffocate me like that!" Her small voice sounded cute.

"Am I dreaming?" I asked.

"Do you want another hurtful slap?" she threatened.

I felt the throbbing pain in my cheeks again and shook my head. This time I am certain that this isn't a dream.

"Do you truly have feelings for me?" I pushed her away from me, but my hands were still on her shoulder.

"Oh, for the love of god!" she pinches the bridge of her nose.

"Just joking!" I pulled her in a hug again.

This time, I felt something wrap around my waist and pull me even closer.

Oh my god! Why the hell is she so cute?!

"Yena..."

"Hmm?"

We both pull away from each other.

"Can I...." I pouted my lips.

"Ha! Nope!" She turned her head away and crossed her arms. "I only told you I like you, but that doesn't mean we're together now. You still need to pursue me further." She said while walking away.

"It looks like it won't be easy." I whispered.

I caught up to her running. "Wait for me, Yena!"

'But it isn't impossible to make her love me more... Now that her feelings are clear to me.'
