Sunlight from the outside entered the room from the window. Primis opened his eyes as the world reset again. Sighing he looked at the table on which Kyubey was sleeping like before. Though this time, Kyubey decided to speak.

Kyubey: Do you have any intention of moving on from this checkpoint? How many times do you plan to let the world reset?

Primis: One more loop. Then I will end this.

Kyubey: Good to hear that.

CLICK!!!

The door opened as Beatrice walked in. Primis didn't look at her and kept on looking outside. Reaching him, Beatrice sat on his lap like always.

Beatrice: The world reset again like you desired. What's next?

Primis: ......Nothing.

Beatrice: Huh?

Primis: We will do nothing this time. Neither us nor Subaru.

Beatrice: Why?

Primis: You will know.

Beatrice: ......…

Beatrice became silent. She glanced at him as she felt something different from the current Primis.

Beatrice: Are you ok----

Subaru: AH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The scream of Subaru was heard from his room. This was even more traumatic than before.

Beatrice: Why is that human screaming so loudly this time?

Primis didn't answer. He just motioned Beatrice to get up before himself standing up from his chair. Then he left his room. He turned his head in the opposite direction of Subaru's room. There he saw Emilia at some distance looking around the hallway as if trying to find something. With his enhanced hearing, he heard her murmuring under her breath.

Emilia: This section of the hallway was destroyed last night. Not only that, even the two windows behind were also destroyed. Just what is going on? It's the same as last time.

[Looks like she really does remember the previous loop.]

Primis: Yeah.

Replied Primis before ignoring Emilia and continued walking towards Subaru's room as he was screaming constantly.

Opening the door, Primis and Beatrice entered. There they saw Ram and Rem hugging each other while standing in the corner, not understanding what's going on with Subaru. Looking at them, Primis spoke.

Primis: Can you both leave us alone? It seems that he had nightmare of what happened in slums last night.

Ram: Ok. Though he gave me and my sister a fright, it's still alright. Right, Sister?

Rem: Yes, yes. Let's go, sister.

Both sisters bowed before leaving the room and closing the door behind. Beatrice locked the door without waiting for Primis instructions. Then she also turned her attention to Subaru.

Primis: You must.

Hearing this, Subaru got up from the bed, approached Primis and grabbed his collar.

Beatrice: HANDS OFF HIM, HUMAN!!!!!

Beatrice interrupted Subaru's outburst and glared at him. In return, Subaru also glared back.

Subaru: IT'S ALL HAPPENED BECAUSE OF YOU!!!! IF YOU WERE WITH US THEN ITS ALL WOULD HAVE BEEN FINE!!!!

Beatrice: WHAT!!!!

Primis: Didn't I already tell you that she was in the village to protect you from shadows and to find the clues about the killer?

Subaru: IT DOESN'T MATTER!!!! SHE SHOULD HAVE RETURNED WITH ME THAT TIM----

POW!!!!!!

BANG!!!

Primis punched Subaru in the face which sent him on the coffee table that got destroyed and fell on the ground. Blood was coming out of his mouth as a tooth was also knocked out.

Wiping the blood from his glove using a cloth, Primis looked down on him with cold dark eyes. Subaru became terrified witnessing them and started shaking.

Primis: Listen, Subaru. Neither did you ask for this nor did I ask to be connected with you. But now that it happened it can't be helped. We must see it through. For now, you must calm down. Panic won't help.

Subaru: ......…

Primis: I know that you don't want to experience death again and again. No one does. But if you want to move forward so that it won't happen again then you must reconsider everything you have done and went through, to make more rational decisions this time.

Subaru: .........

Primis: That's also why Beatrice only scolded you just now. If it was someone else, who was holding my collar then Beatrice would have already killed that person by now.

Subaru trembled again and looked at Beatrice who only snorted at him.

Beatrice: Hmph.

Primis: Anyway. Since we are in this together, we are partners here. And partners look after each other. Since I am more level head than you then I must make a move. If hitting is all it takes to calm you, then I am all for it.

Approaching him, Primis went down and extended his hand to Subaru.

Primis: Now that your mental state is stable, we can think about our next action.

Subaru: Did you come up with a plan or something?

Primis: Yes or no.

Subaru: Huh?

Primis: Even though your current condition is stable, I still think you should rest this time.

Subaru: Rest?

Primis: Yes, this time we will do nothing. We will let the world move on its own. I will tell Roswaal and others that you still need time to rid get of the trauma you faced in slum and need rest. Remember no Butler work, no going here and there to help Ram and Rem, no going to the village either. Only rest.

Subaru: Are you saying I just locked myself here in the room?

Primis: Not really. Even during rest, you can walk all around the mansion or garden for some air or change of pace. No one will mind.

Subaru: Alright, let's do it.

[He seemed extra happy at the name of rest.]

'Primis: He need this.'

Like before, Emilia and Ram were waiting outside.

Emilia: G-Good Morning, Rigla.

Primis only nodded in return. Looking at Emilia's expression, its not hard to guess she had heard Subaru outburst just now.

Primis: Looks like Subaru is still experiencing the trauma he went through in slums. Let him rest for a few days. It would be better if you could give him food in his room.

Ram: Yes, Sir Rigla. We will do that.

Nodding Primis turned and walked towards the dining room while holding Beatrice hand. Emilia and Ram also followed behind. In the end, Emilia grabbed Primis other hand with her both hands and stopped him in his tracks.

Primis: What is it, Emilia?

Emilia: Rigla, are you ok?

Primis: I am.

Emilia: You don't appear so.

Primis: What do you mean?

Emilia: You seemed more distant.

Primis: .........

Beatrice also turned and looked at Primis. She had long realized something was different with Primis but couldn't pinpoint what. But now that Emilia said that she also realized that Primis appeared more distant than before.

Primis: Must be your imagination.

Emilia: ITS NOT!!!!!

Emilia: I don't know what *sob* I did wrong *sob* but I still apologize *sob*. I am sorry. *sob* Please don't *sob* ignore me *sob*

Spoke Emilia as tears were trailing down her face.

Primis: ......…

[.........Primis. Killing Rem affected you more than you thought. But I don't think Emilia deserve this----]

'Primis: I know. I just need some time to get over it. But it appeared that Emilia thinks I am angry at her.'

[She is still a kid in the end. She doesn't have any friends, people who can give her the warmth and care. She is always alone. If not for Puck, she would have broken down long ago. Emilia hugged Primis tightly as her tears drowned his shirt. Though Primis didn't mind. Beatrice remained silent while looking at them. But Ram had a genuine smile on her face.

After Emilia calmed down, they all went to the dining room for breakfast. Ram informed Roswaal about Subaru's condition and he agreed to let him rest and provide food in his room. In this loop, Primis didn't ask Roswaal to have Rem standby near him like before.

Time went by.

Subaru this time didn't become active. He spent most of the time in his room, walking around the mansion, walking in the garden, and in the Forbidden Library with Primis and Beatrice. Primis also told Subaru that he had affinity with Shadow magic. When Subaru asked how he knew, Primis said he read many books here and knew how to see the person's affinity.

At first, Subaru thought it was useless. But when Primis told him that Shadow magic could put the debuffs on the target he became elated. Too bad he couldn't remain happy for so long since Beatrice put a cold water on his expectations by telling him that with his gate, he could merely use two or three spells per day.

Still, Primis told Subaru to learn a spell that can help me in some situations. It was the same spell he learned in plot, "Shamack". A spell with the special quality of separation. Its low-grade version can make the target become unable to sense where they are, however, they can still feel the ground and sense what's happening to their body.

Because Primis told Beatrice to teach Subaru more about this spell, his knowledge regarding it increased a lot. The way it was going, Beatrice said that Subaru would be able to learn the next level of this spell. "El Shamak". Though he would only be able to use it once per day.

That was not the only thing. The relation between Primis and Emilia also became very close. It was to the point that only during her paperwork and sleep they were away. The rest of the time, Emilia would always be with Primis.

One more thing, since Rem was not with him in this loop, their relation was still that of Maid and Guest.

Night of the Fourth Day.

Primis was reading a book in the Forbidden Library as always. Beatrice was still on his lap as always. The moon was still high in the sky as always. They were completely ignoring the human that was walking here and there in the library with a worried expression as always.

Subaru: Come on. Say something.

Primis & Beatrice: This is the library. Stay quiet.

Subaru: How can I in this situation?

Primis & Beatrice: Sit in the corner and don't disturb us.

Subaru: Aren't you worried about what would happen?

Primis & Beatrice: No. You're the one who died. Not us.

Subaru became tense hearing this and hurriedly sat in one corner. Though, they heard him murmuring under his breath.

Subaru: Look at yourself. You both are completely in sync.

Neither of them replied, but a smile still appeared on their faces. They have also become closer.

Morning of the Fifth day.

Primis: It's morning.

Subaru: Huh? Really?

Subaru hurriedly opened the door of the Forbidden Library and rushed out. Seeing the clear sky, his eyes filled with tears.

Subaru: F-Finally. *hic* I passed the fourth day *hic*.

Primis and Beatrice also walked out and looked at the sun. While looking at the sun, Primis glanced in one direction of the hallway. From there, he could hear another sound of crying. However, unlike Primis happy cry, that one was full of sorrow and pain.

[Don't you think, there's too much crying this time? First, it was Rem then Emilia now Subaru and now----]

'Primis: That's true.'

Saying this Primis put his attention on Subaru who was kneeling on the ground while crying the tears of joy.

'Primis: Death is imminent in this loop too, Subaru. If not you then someone else. It's time for you to make your decision.'
