The Return of a Kinsman 3
“Hello, Mr. Bailey. How may I help you?”
“Hello, Mr. Finnegan. Thank you for the ride you gave to my wife and cousin.”
“Don't think too much about it, Mr. Bailey.”
“Good, she said there were protesters on the road.”
“Yes, she is right.”
“If I may ask, what were their grievances?”
“It is not a serious matter. The criminal they suspected was from Kent turned out to come from Bricks Mont.”
The first thought that came to Mr. Denise Bailey's mind was to exclaim;
'Oh my God' and ask 'when did Uncle Stephen become a citizen of Bricks Mont'.
But he restrained himself and responded cheerfully.
“Oh, I see. What is the present state of affairs?”
“Everything is under control. The protesters have returned to their homes.”
“It is all right. See you later.”
“Ok, Mr. Bailey.”
