(6) Pirates Attack! (1)

I laid on the ground of the training ground, and gasped for breath.

Once I heard that I'd mastered Rokushiki I was out of it.

Well that's pretty nice, I don't really think it does anything but it reminds me of the work I put in to obtain it.

Laying on the ground, I saw Aoki and Mr. Koushirou walk out to the training ground. Aoki had a cup of water in her hand and a towel.

"Big Brother!" Aoki rushed towards me, and handed me the water and wiped my forehead with the towel.

"Thanks Aoki-" I was about to say more but I was interupted by the system.

[Quest completed! Master Rokushiki, obtained: one hundred thousand berries]

Keep the benefits coming I guess, Mr. Koushirou approached me and said.

"I tell Zoro this all the time, It's good to train but training too hard can do more bad than good."

"I'll keep that in mind next time." I said, making a mental note to not push myself as hard next time.

I got up from the floor and decided to mess around with Aoki.

"Come here Aoki, give your brother a hug!" I said playfully.

"Hell no! You're all sweaty and sticky!" She said while running away from me, as I chased her around the training ground.

"Alright you two, come inside so we can all eat breakfast." Mr. Koushirou said as me and Aoki both followed him inside.

We made our way to the kitchen and found Kuina making four plates; there was eggs, bacon, and pancakes.

"Woah! I didn't know you could cook Kuina!" I said as I walked over to her.

"Kuina actually makes breakfast, lunch and dinner; the food she makes is surprisingly very very good." Mr. Koushirou said, with a proud grin on his face.

Another reason to recruit her into the crew, the only thing I could make was cupped noodles and pizza rolls.

"I'm n-not that good of a cook dad." Kuina said shyly, a slight hue of red appeared on her face.

"Alright! Let's eat before the food gets cold." Mr. Koushirou said as we sat at the table.

Me and Aoki decided to go to the villages dock and take a look out to the sea.

"Look! Look! It's a dolphin!" Aoki said as she admired the sea creature.

"I really love the ocean Avery" Aoki said as she leaned her head on my shoulder.

"Me too." I replied, sometimes the ocean can be beautiful and sometimes it could be ugly; I personally prefer when it's beautiful, sailing through a storm is a no go for me.

As I thought of this, we both saw a medium sized ship in the distance.

The ship looked like it was heading towards us, once it got closer we had a clear view of it and saw that there was a black banner with a masked skull on it.

"Damnit! Pirates!" I yelled.

"Aoki, go tell Mr. Koushirou!"

"What about you?!"

"Just go!" I yelled out and she reluctantly listened.

I could only hope these pirates were like the strawhats, the ones that don't pillage.

Grand New World Box? Wait not right now, have to worry about the pirate guests approaching!

Time to put the techniques to work now I guess.

The ship stopped as it approached the dock, a man with a white oni mask jumped off the ship and landed on the dock. A woman with pink hair and a black and pink oni mask, jumped off and landed behind him.

"Jeez captain! You're always so quick to jump off the ship! We weren't even docked!" The pink haired woman said as she appproached the guy.

"Tch, says the one who did the same exact thing!" A husky voice of a man said.

A bronze skinned man walked down from the ship properly, he had a pure black oni mask on and around twenty other men with oni masks walked behind him.

"Shut up muscle brain!" The pink haired woman yelled out, causing the men behind the man to chuckle.

"You all thought that was funny?!" The bronze skinned man yelled out causing the men to all go silent.

"N-no sir!" They all yelled out in unison.

"Don't be scared of him guys! He's just a big bald teddy bear" The pink haired woman said as she laughed.

"Damnit! Captain please control your woman!" The bronze skinned man said, his voice showcasing his anger and frustration.

"Enough arguing! We've still got a village to pillage!" The man wearing the white oni mask said, he looked forward and finally noticed me.

I didn't recognize them showing that they were either some unknown, minor pirate crew.

I don't think Shimotsuki village was ever attacked as well, my appearance must have caused some sort of butterfly effect.

"Boy! I suggest you run now or your death is…inevitable." The man in the white oni mask shouted.

"What is it Halloween? I didn't know I should go get my costume too!" I shouted causing the bronze skinned man to yell in anger.

"Captain! He's making fun of our crew! Let me pound his head in!" The bronze skinned man said.

"Relax Mack, I'll handle the kid" The pink haired woman said as she slowly approached me.

"Kid, you did this to yourself. My captain isn't usually merciful; you basically committed suicide!" She said as she laughed maniacally.

"Crazy b*tch!" I yelled out, I decided to use Soru and appear right behind her; hopefully ending the fight there.

I took Ace out and used Soru, appearing behind her instantly.

I slashed out with my sword towards her neck nervously, I thought about how I'd take her life.

I don't understand how those edge lord mc's from novels dealt with killing for the first time.

I was interrupted from these thoughts by the sound of a gun shot. I felt a projectile approaching my shoulder at rapid speeds, I dodged and used Soru to move back to where I was at before.

"Phoo!"

I was shocked, I think I just used observation haki! That'd be the only explanation for how I felt the bullet coming.

"Wow boy! I'm truly surprised! I didn't know you could teleport!" The white oni masked man yelled out as he put his gun back in his holster.

"You're a good shot!" I replied thinking this is going to be a hard fight!
