"A-A Quasar... that's impossible. Perhaps one of the most astronomically destructive objects in existence, and you're telling me this person has harnessed its power...? Just who is this guy!? Even if this person was the endgame boss of this whole series, wasn't this a bit too ridiculous?

RUMBLE!!

The night itself seemed to turn into a gaping hole where I could see concentrated energy ready to gush out. It palpitated like a heart, and every time it did, the space itself shook. The dragon flapped its wings, and much to my shock, instead of pointing that ridiculous power towards us, he pointed it downwards, towards Wano.

Kaido and I both couldn't help but gulp, the fearless me, the fearless him. We felt how the control that person had harnessed on us loosened; it seemed even he couldn't keep us quiet while keeping that thing in control as well.

"There are limits in this world to how strong a person can become before their lifespan is at stake. Do you think you're the only one that can single-handedly destroy an island, Dracule Veyron?" His voice brimmed with Conqueror Haki, Haki of Dreamers and even more so... desire, the wicked desire to put down my pride as an Emperor, as a powerhouse.

Yes, I accept it... I didn't expect this. I didn't expect there to be such power in this world. I believed the Yonko were the top and that top had already withered with Whitebeard and Garp far from their prime. He stood at the peak with his Gura Gura no Mi.

The knights were strong, but as long as they were equivalent to my mom, I could somehow handle them... but this guy, now that's a monster, but it is just as he said.

"The principle is the same. Whoever you are, I don't believe you can use this twice!".

It was the same principle indeed, even if I had a hydrogen bomb here, it would cost me a lot to manipulate that much power again, there is just a limit not to the body, not to the mind... but to the soul.

"Muhahaha~ that's right, Mu can't use it twice but so what? A single time is enough to erase this whole island. You're not going to leave this poor and filthy island to fend for itself, do you? That's not what Dracule Veyron -the hidden leader of the Liberators- would do~"

I grit my teeth in absolute anger; this bastard... I could go and abandon everything, but that's definitely not what I would do... damn it all. Fleeing is not an option for me right now; I have to take on this Quasar. But maybe...

"Kaido, only if we-" I began, after all, this gigantic dragon proved to be able to resist two trillion volts discharge; surely he could help me in order to save his crew... how naive I was.

WHOOOSHH!!!

"Good luck dealing with that, Kiddo!" The massive black dragon flew down to the city, leaving me speechless; this bastard is fleeing now?!

Black flaming clouds were created around him as he spiralled down into the chaotic warfare; with a single sweep, he took all of his crew members with those clouds, creating a gust of wind that blasted everyone as he passed.

"We will see each other soon, Yamato!~"

"Dad!?"

Just like that, Kaido departed far into the horizon at speeds that although inferior to mine, were still supersonic. The side of the shogun began shivering in fright; without the Beast Pirates, they had no chance at all... they were completely unaware that blissfully so... that right here before me was the weapon of mass destruction that could end their lives.

Yamato and Denjiro saw in this a chance to end everything once and for all.

"THE BEASTS ARE GONE, CHARGE!!!"

For them, the light of hope was brighter than ever while my chances of survival if I took on this attack looked bleak, but even then... 'I can't back off'.

If I flee right now, then my name is not Dracule Veyron and my mother is not Dracule Mihawk, my wives are not surnamed Boa and my whole existence is a joke. The final boss is in front of me, this is not a fight I can win... but I will definitely not lose!

RUMBLE!!!

I witnessed far away in the skies the only light that shone in this darkness created by this person, aside from the gushing energy that threatened to be released from that gravitational hole.

"It looks like he left you alone~ foolish you, Veyron… soon I'll have to release this, what are you going to do? leave or stay? live or die?"

"I thought he'd be a bit rational. But you're making a big mistake here... you think I don't have the means to stop it!?".

I extended my arms forward towards the leftover streak of white lightning that was still flashing in the skies, a lightning strike created by the sheer pressure of my Conqueror Haki and 4th Will, it wouldn't ever disappear so long as I didn't will it to. And in order to do so, I needed to be as strong as I was at that moment with all that accumulated kinetic energy.

But right now I don't need to make it disappear... I need to use it to my advantage! I NEED ENERGY, A LOT OF IT!

Without even thinking twice and much to the shock of this monster, I impaled that white lightning into my chest.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!

What happened next, at least for me... was that the world came to a sudden stop, becoming greyish as the strongest headache I had ever felt in my life descended like the reaper's wrath.

My psychokinesis works with energy... that's the principle. The amount of kinetic energy created by 'Fat Man' was an amount I already knew I could sustain... a trillion-volt lightning was the product of everything I had placed together in a single attack, I could naturally use electric energy as my supplement as well as I usually do while using two billion volts lightning... but a trillion volt lightning is a completely different monster altogether. Couple that with the fact I'm already exhausted... and the result is that I'm very likely to pass away after this.

But it doesn't matter... I achieved the result that I desired.

*COUGH!*

The world turned back to normal as ridiculous waves of power left my body, going as far as to defeat even the Quasar in might. The world around me vibrated, and I could see how beneath, in Wano... people began floating, buildings were tucked out of the ground to the foundation like flowers plucked out of the field, and the waters of the ocean rushed into the skies as every citizen of Wano began fainting one by one.

"What a ridiculous power. You do certainly resemble 'him', Veyron... during the Void Century, there was only one individual whose powers could be compared to yours in ridiculousness. Mu is astonished indeed."

The dragon stopped flapping its wings and allowed the zero gravity that now had befallen this world to catch him.

Even with this much power, I had no way to stop that Quasar that was about to regurgitate energy capable of killing me. I only had one chance of stopping this disaster and living to tell the tale. My invisible forcefield expanded beyond measure until the whole Wano was protected within it.

"It is time..." The Dragon muttered and then... I saw it come.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!

A beam so devastating... so heavy and so frightening, that I could only extend my arms forward and close my eyes.

BAAAAAAAAAAAANGGGGGGGG!!!!

All eyes looked at the skies where a light as bright as the sun seemed to be descending into Wano; it impacted against my forcefield, and I felt it as if a mountain had just slapped me. I knew I was unable to receive it... unable to protect Wano. The only objective of this intricate pattern of my forcefield... was to 'bend' it!
