Chapter 15

After Ragna went to his hiding place with the boy, he shared his meals with him. After all, he was much more likely to join his crew if he treated him with good intentions.

After they had both eaten, Ragna said, "First let me introduce myself. My name is Ragna."

Ragna then began to stare at him, as if telling him that it was his turn.

After thinking for a moment, he replied briefly, "I am Law."

"Aren't you still going to explain why you ran away?" Ragna said. Ragna knew he didn't give his full name, but he didn't care that much.

"If you tell me why you're hiding, then maybe I'll tell you?" Law said. On the way here, Law noticed that Ragna was pretty good at concealment. There must be a reason for the person who hides so often.

Law also noticed that Ragna was constantly wearing a mask, revealing only the lower part of his face even when he was eating. Law knew that he was definitely hiding from someone.

"All right, I'll tell you why I'm hiding." Ragna said and after a short pause, he added, "I'm hiding from the World Government."

"Oh? Why would they be after you?" Law asked after a brief surprise.

"Of course, I won't tell you exactly why. To put it briefly, I am wanted for I have stolen something valuable from them." Ragna said and then added, "Now it's your turn."

Although Ragna knew him, of course, he wouldn't tell him everything about himself.

After a moment's thought, Law said, "One of the underground bosses is after me. That's why I was running."

"Interesting. Would you like to come with me? I'm going so far from here, they're unlikely to find you there." Ragna offered directly.

After a moment's surprise, Law said, "Where are you going?"

"Grand Line. There's someone I need to meet there." Ragna said.

"Huh!? Are you thinking of going to the Grand Line alone?" Law said in surprise. Frankly, he didn't believe Ragna at all, because he had heard that sailing on the Grand Line was too dangerous.

Ragna said with a laugh, "Hahaha! Don't worry, I've been to the Grand Line a few times before. I'm also quite a strong person, I have a bounty of 80 million belly to be exact." He then asked again, "And will you come with me?"

After thinking for a while, Law made up his mind, "No, I'm not coming." He had decided not to go because he didn't want to go on such a journey with someone he didn't know yet. He didn't want to die without getting his revenge yet.

Ragna was frankly not surprised by his answer, after all, a stranger suddenly appeared before him and asked to come to the Grand Line. Only a stupid would just accept that.

"Okey. I'll stay here for a while, if you want you can live here with me." Ragna said.

Although Law was hesitant at first, he later agreed. Because it looked pretty safe here.

At that moment, Ragna looked at him and thought, 'I must get closer to him in these few days. I definitely want him in my crew. He's a very talented doctor, and he also has the Ope Ope no Mi that the World Government is after.'

That night, Ragna heard Law speak while he was sleeping, "Cora-san... You promised me... You wouldn't die..."

After thinking for a moment, Ragna decided to gently poke him awake.

"Law. Wake up. Time to go school." Ragna whispered as he poked him.

Law awoke with a gasped and was frightened when he saw himself in an unfamiliar place. Frankly, he couldn't quite remember what happened last night yet.

"Shhh. Calm down, you're safe here." Ragna said.

After remembering what happened yesterday, Law looked at Ragna strangely and asked, "Why did you wake up me?"

"You were having nightmares and constantly chanting someone's name. That's why I woke you up." Ragna said.

Law began to grieve again, remembering part of the nightmare he had had.

When seeing his condition, Ragna said, "Are you okay? Do you want to talk?"

Law didn't answer him because he didn't think it was appropriate to discuss his private matter with a stranger.

"It's okay if you don't want to talk, but if you spill your guts, you'll be relaxed." Ragna said, and then handed him a nearby water bottle.

Law took the water bottle from him and after drinking, he said, "Thank you, but I don't want to talk."

"Well, it's your decision, but I'm here if you want to talk." Ragna said.

Ragna knew he could get close to him on this subject. If he could get Law to talk, he could communicate with him even better. Thus, Law will eventually want to come with him himself.

First, he'd get him to talk, then he'd tell him could help him get revenge. Maybe this method wouldn't work, but at least he could try.

Some people might not approve of what Ragna did, but for him, it was quite natural. He had already approached Fisher Tiger like this before. His current goal was to be friends with Law.

Thus, Ragna began to work for this. Chatting with him, made funny jokes to him, tried to ignite the flame of adventure in him by telling some of the experiences with the Sun pirates.

After a while, their relationship had progressed a lot. Law finally briefly talked about a few events he had experienced in the past.

Then at night, Ragna realized that Law was talking in his sleep again. Realizing this, he couldn't help but smile because this time, he could use this moment. Right now was a moment when he was emotionally weak.
