I'm gonna be a father

"I...I...want to....tell you something." She stammer because of too much crying. He nodded and assured her "I'm all ears. Tell me what it is".

She tried to form the right sentence but she don't know how to tell him. Unknowingly she retrieved her hands which were clutching his shirt. Lucas's eyes caught her movement and fixated on her hands. He grabbed her wrists and asked her "What is this....".

She opened her hands to let him see the test. He grabbed it and looked at her, asking with his eyes about that. She didn't maintain the eye contact and looked at the ground. He sighed and removed his hands from her waist to look at it properly.

A pregnancy test. His eyes widened seeing the label. He looked at her who now looked back at him. "What does this mean?" He questioned as this is his first time seeing that. What does it mean.... the two lines.

Without knowing tears again start flowing from her eyes. "It means... I'm pregnant". She again start sobbing. Pregnant. She is pregnant. How? I know we didn't use anything that time...but didn't she took any pills. I thought she did.

"I'm gonna be a father" he asked her more like he told himself. She nodded and closed her eyes. He is feeling so many things at the same time. He is happy, ofcourse any sane man will be after knowing that he created a life. His parents always told him having a child is a blessing.

But he is also scared of having a child. What if his rivals find about this. He can't risk the child's life. And the mother's too. Her eyes again looked at him. Probably to know his thoughts. What is he feeling right now? She definitely did saw a flicker of happiness in his eyes. But soon it vanished as concern appear on his face. "Don't cry." He said and wiped her tears with his hands.

He is worried for her. But that is not what matters to her right now. She want to find out what he thinks of this situation. "First calm down Bella and let's think. Wait what if there is a mistake. What if you are not pregnant" he argued a reason.

"It's the same for all the tests I've taken. What can I do now." She can't figure out how he felt so she gave up and stared at the ground. He can't see her like this. It ached his heart. He now know he wanted this child. He can protect this baby with all his might. But he needs to know what she wants too.

He again put his hands on her neck and made her look at him. "Look at me Bella. First you need to calm down. If you keep crying it will affect you both." He finished his sentence and hugged her. Bella was contemplating why is he so gentle now. Does he wants this child? But do she herself wants this. She just sobbed until her body gave up and she fainted.
