Forest mission

Gin looked at the Tv news from the hero channels and his phone's message is telling him that he got into S-rank.

The hero association is also telling strong people to become heroes as the rate of monsters attacking is increasing. The people who want to become a hero can take a hero test which will give them a rank in the hero system. This is a test so there will be people who fail.

Gin read the news and he thought

'The hero association changed their ways of doing things which involved heroes. At first, the hero association does the scouting and recruiting but after it got a certain reputation, the hero association makes the people who are strong become a hero by promising wealth and glory,'

It really is going all out as the way the hero association advertised the 15 S-rank heroes really makes it look like we can all fight dragon-level monsters.

Gin is reading the information about the S-rank heroes and he can see that many of them are heroes, he knew and also some who he didn't know. Gin's cell phone rang and he picked up

"Gin-san, Gin-san you are in the S-rank hero, S-rank. Wow, amazing, the only strongest 15 heroes in the entire hero association," said Haruna in her bell-like voice which is ringing in Gin's head.

"Yes, Yes I am and there are less than 600 heroes in the hero association so it is not impressive and there are many strong people among the ordinary people," said Gin.

"But, you are amazing as you can kill the demon-level monster alone, that is something only the top rank of S-hero can do," said Haruna cheerfully, not registering the negative view about the hero association 'Strongest 15'.

Then Haruna told me about the battle clip of him with the demon-level monster and Gin can feel that she is more excited than him who has killed that monster.

For Gin, that demon-level monster is the monster for him to test his full strength and he knew that he can kill the lower demon-level monster but more than that he can only hold.

The difference between demon-level and tiger-level monsters is that if the demon-level doesn't have some kind of weird power then their physical quality is off the chart as that demon-level he fought is certainly strong but that monster can only do some punching and kicking and all it can do. The only thing that is keeping it alive is its speed.

Almost every hero in S-rank and some heroes from A-rank can kill that monster. Gin is certain that his speed can match the monsters at Demon level but he will have a hard time killing them.

The only way to kill these Demon levels faster is that he refined his lance skill and improved his strength. The more strength he has, he can handle the weight and the destruction made by his lance will be getting higher and higher.

Gin is currently in V city because the hero association wants to clear the monster in the forest beyond V city.

V city is one of the largest cities and the reason the hero association is clearing the monster in the forest is that Doogle which is one of the largest technology companies is in this city and the CEO of the company requested this mission.

The hero association agreed that and here Gin is in the car with some of the A-rank heroes who are Yes-man, High, and Genius. In another car, there are some B-rank heroes and C-rank heroes.

Although the mission is about clearing the monsters in the forest, the hero association only has the intention of clearing the monsters in the 50 miles of V city.

Gin decided to accept this mission because there is a rumor that someone is fighting the monsters and no one saw his or her face clearly.

Gin and the others don't have to ride the car that long as they arrived at their destination about 2 hours later.

The outskirts of V city is like all forest from where your eyes can reach. That is not that strange that all the cities are built beside each other and the other place be it the sea or forest is the place that human is not explored since the last world war.

As soon as the heroes arrived the hero association personnel who is responsible for this mission is instructing the staff from the hero association alongside the heroes from the C-rank.

In this mission, 1 S-rank, 3 A-rank, and 8 C-rank. In rank, most of the heroes are the heroes who Gin didn't know but he can see some familiar faces among them which are Green-arrow and Frog.

The hero association chose Gin and 2 A-rank Yes-man and High as the high-end combat personnel. Genius will be responsible to connect with all the eight groups which will be led by the eight group leaders from the hero association. Every eight groups will have one C-rank and the only job of each group is to eliminate if they encountered the wolf-level monster. If a tiger-level monster appeared they have to retreat and wait for the B-rank to appear.

If B-rank can't handle it, they will have to hold until an A-rank appear. The group of tiger-level monsters will be handled by Gin along with the demon-level one.

In other words, Gin will be bored in the first hours of the mission and he might even be getting bored in this whole mission after all the monsters in the forest don't usually come to the cities and most of the monsters in the cities are the result of unhealthy desires or experiments.

After explaining the mission to the C-rank and B-rank, the mission is started and Gin and the other 2 A-rank are told to stand by.

Genius observed everything which is happening including Frog being scared by a snake that came out of the bushes.

The mission started with smooth sailing as every wolf-level monster encountered is killed by the combined effort of staff and C-rank heroes occasionally some tiger-rank monsters will be encountered but the B-rank can move quickly and intercept.

This mission is estimated to be long about 1 and a half days as the 50 miles to the forest from V city has to be clear of monsters and the hero association will have to put some equipment that came from the Doogle companies.

At night, the situation is getting intense as the group from the front is also attacked more frequently by the wolf-level monster in three or four groups that even the B-rank has to intervene.

The B-rank heroes can kill these groups with help of the C-rank heroes and the staff of the hero association.

The night is getting deeper and deeper and the attack of the monster is coming like there is no end of it as the frontline group is attacked almost every 20 minutes after the last group attack.

Genius who saw this is covered in sweat even though he knew that there is an S-rank as the last line of defense.

"Genius, this is from group 2. We are encountering a group of wolf-level and this time the number is even bigger," said a staff.

"Yes, I saw that the monkey monsters and I will immediately make an A-rank to depart immediately," said Genius.

"Yes-man, please depart immediately to the location of group 2, I repeat Yes-man, please depart immediately to the location of group 2," said Genius to the resting area of A-rank.

Yes-man who wore one-piece clothes with the 'Yes' letter in front of his chest area rushed out and went toward group 2 after taking a locator from the operator staff.

Group 2 encountered a group of monkeys but this time group is very big as they are seeing more than 20 monkeys on the tree and on the ground.

Yes-man arrived at the located group 2 and he saw that they are attacked by the monkeys in both ranged and melee attacks. Silent Bee who is in the group is attacking the monkey back with his strange guns which shoot some kind of darts.

Yes-man said "Yes," loudly and he rushed toward the nearest monkey monster. Every monkey who heard the 'Yes' sound immediately rushed to attack Yes-man.

Yes-man has the ability to attract attention from the monsters when he said 'Yes' and the monster who attacks or even aims at him will be getting pain in the area they aimed and the one who managed to successfully attack will be getting the double damage of its attack.

This ability make Yes-man very strong when he faced the monster with the same level of strength and weaker than him but the monster who is 2 times stronger than him will not have any effects.

That is why Yes-man is a strong man with a body full of muscle and the hero association also pay attention to him as his ability is very useful for crowd control ability.
