Not strong to let go

Nuth, the assistant and Big Sis were roommates and the duo were busying themselves in their little kitchen.

"I want you to have a taste of our sweet fish sauce dip." Nuth requested Fai.

"Tastes like chili dip instead." Fai blurted out without thinking. She immediately realized her mistake when Nuth's face fell.

"Ooh, only you can make seemingly Sweet fish sauce dip to taste like a chili dip, it's a feat to be sure!" She relented and even slapped her mouth for saying the wrong thing earlier. It didn't improve Nuth's mood though.

"My mother was right about me, I could never be my own boss, only a mere assistant forever." She said.

"Keep trying, because if you only think about doing something, you won't actually achieve it." Fai encouraged her.

Fahsai needed some girl time and showed up at their doorsteps.

"There you are. I got those photos, who's that guy though? Is he trying to date you?" Big Sis inquired.

"He wants me to work for him and leave the magazine. And to stay away from Daniel." Fahsai said. "I recently learned that Daniel killed his girlfriend, who happens to look much like me and he's in my life now because he thinks I'm his dead girlfriend." She filled them in.

The two heads were flabbergasted by the information that Daniel killed his girlfriend.

"Do you actually believe it?" They asked.

"I'm not sure but what's certain is that it doesn't have to do with me."

"Of course it does! I'm terrified." Big Sis said. You shouldn't trust that guy because he showed up all of a sudden offering her work and money."

"The salary is high because the job is risky, his brother isn't normal." Fahsai explained.

"Forget it then." Big Sis said.

"It's not that easy to turn down money because of my household situation, if I take the job, the money would help my parents."

"Perhaps we should let Fah decide on her own, because as a third party, we don't know Chanming or Daniel as she does." Nuth stepped in. "Think it through and make a decision that you could be happy with." Nuth suggested.

But that night, Big Sis noticed that sleep eluded Fahsai and was concerned for her friend.

"Nuth, do you have Daniel's number?" Big Sis inquired.

In a business meeting, Daniel was a cutthroat man. He didn't bat for an eye about giving the team a deadline to complete a project.

"A new team is willing to step up if you fail to do your job properly." He commanded.

His right hand man got a call on his cell phone and he answered it.

"I know you. What do you want now?" He knew Big Sis's voice even before she introduced herself.

"I don't trust you hooligan, so if you don't mind, could you please put Daniel through." She asked since she didn't trust his right hand man could relay her message correctly. The right hand man was all and well hanging up. But she did end up leaving a message behind for Daniel about Fahsai's situation.

"Chanmimg must have told her the "story". The right hand man surmised. "Do you want me to summon her?" He asked.

"I don't have anything to say to her." Daniel said.

"Are you willing to lose to Chanmimg?" He asked.

"I'm not out to compete with anyone. I paid my debt to her." Daniel said merely. "It's up to her, what she wants to, I have no say." He relented and his man made a grimacing face, but conceded.

"I'm going to do it, but not because I completely trust Chanmimg, I just think he has no reason to lie to my face" Fahsai who was working on her resignation letter said to Fai.

"As you wish." Big said practically as she sighed.

The gossipmongers overheard that Fahsai was going to resign and were out to ridicule her.

"She must have felt guilty for ruining our business with the hospital." They chimed in. Big Sis wasn't easy to mess with and a fight ensued just as Daniel and company walked in.

Upon hearing that Fahsai was quitting, he looked disappointed. The Chief on the other hand, forced everyone to plaster a smile for Daniel and hug each other. To show unity since were about to sign the agreement.

Fahsai's dad was bummed out because wifey was still pouting, but his students cheered him up with their positive attitude. His wife spied him from the sidelines and made a decision.

"Come with me." She made Fahsai tag along with her to visit the loan Shark. "I want to find out why your Dad borrowed such a huge amount of money."

"Do you believe Dad would borrow money to support a mistress?" Fahsai wondered.

"Baby, I want to know the truth otherwise I'm unable to look at your father the same way again."

It turned out that her father borrowed once and the amount he borrowed was nothing compared to the interest it garnered. That seemed to appease her mother. The lady who spread the gossip showed up and Fahsai decided to teach her a lesson.

"My mom just got done fighting with the other neighbor for spreading lies. I'm not afraid to teach people that their mouths are intended for eating food, and not spouting dirty shit!"

"I almost believed someone's words and needed to prove it for myself whether my husband was a good or bad person. Don't just believe people outright."

"Nice mom." Fahsai resonated and so she questioned her mother. "Would you believe if you think that person wouldn't lie to you?"

"It doesn't matter who, you should know the truth yourself." She said.
