Gabimaru and Ganz

Thousands of years before, the Gilgamesh race got annihilated by the hands of the wicked demi-gods, who selfishly proclaimed to rule the new world of Pandora.

"So tell me, how did you become an immortal?" Black asked.

The Gilgamesh then explained.

The last remaining Gilgamesh beings who escaped the wrath of the demi-gods cast a spell on him. A spell that could grant an individual eternal youth and an undying body. It was a spell that the Demons knew about, and they told them about it since both races were in the same situation.

But that spell had tremendous side effects that one couldn't imagine.

In spite of having an immortal body, the comrades who cast the spell would sacrifice their lives to enforce the required mana energy needed for the spell.

To which they all died and gave the Last Gilgamesh an everlasting life and an immortal body.

"So, you're saying that the demons told you their secret spell? Even though you were enemies once?" Black asked, curious to see how Gilgamesh might respond.

Black then pondered, I guess the indestructible skin trait he had was about his body being immortal."

The Gilgamesh nodded, "Yes. They were also being chased by the demi-gods, and they were the ones that fought alongside us until the end. But some of them managed to escape and went further south, while I escaped and traveled for several years until I reached this vast forest." He replied.

"I see, but why don't you have a name? I was sure that beings like you possess names." Black bluntly said, confused to why the Gilgamesh does not possess a name.

[Notice: Monsters and demons do not possess names. But they are still able to differentiate themselves through thought communication.]

By the way, do I also have to be black? My status displayed that I don't have a name. Can I name myself?" Black asked through thought communication.

[Answer: You can name yourself, and you are also eligible to grant names to other unnamed beings. But it will consume a lot of mana energy, depending on the being's prowess.]

"I see." He murmured to himself.

"I do not possess a name, but we can still tell each other apart through telepathy." The Gilgamesh stated.

"Okay, since we'll be traveling together. I should name you." Black said.

Gilgamesh gasped in surprise, "Are you sure!? Naming consumes a lot of mana energy." He stated that he wanted to let Black know that recklessly naming someone can consume his mana energy.

"Um, it's fine. I have a lot of mana energy. But do you also possess a status window?" Black flung his wrist and asked.

"Yes, I do. I'll show it to you." Gilgamesh said and showed his status window in front of Black as a holographic tabloid structure appeared.

"Hmm..." Black stared intently at the Gilgamesh status window. He then clapped his hands and uttered, "Okay! Then from now on, you are Ganz."

Ganz was shocked and noticed his body glowing intensely as mana energy particles came out of Black's body and transferred towards him.

His appearance shrank and became more humanly featured. The two horns he had disappeared, and his lion hair shortened like a beard while the red fur thinned out, and he suddenly had black long hair that reached his buttocks.

Wow, even his appearance changed." Black mumbled in his head.

"Hey, Check your status window to see if it worked." Black said, curious to see his status window.

"I finally have a name! And my mana energy and level have increased! Thankyou! I will follow you with all my might!" Ganz stated as he took a knee in front of Black.

Black nodded in agreement, since he'll need an obedient follower that will help him destroy the demi-gods. Especially when they have the same goal.

Hey, System I want to name myself Gabimaru." Black stated and ordered the system to fix it for him.

Why isn't my appearance changing like Ganz's?" Gabimaru abruptly asked.

[Answer: It is because of the naming sequence. It grants the individual more power after being granted a name by a superior being such as you.]

So naming myself would make me strong!? Haha! Crazy!"

[Answer: Yes, but it is only thanks to my greatness.]

Yeah, yeah, your arrogance is still unbelievable." Gabimaru responded while flinging his wrist.

"Umm, Boss? What are you doing?" Ganz asked, curious about Gabimaru's weird behavior.

"Oh, it's nothing. Come on. Let's go and move further north." Gabimaru responded.

"The north, you say? I heard there's a human village there. But they are really isolated from other human territories. Since monsters are the ones living in this vicinity." Ganz said as they both walked continuously.

"A human village, huh?" He mumbled.

[Notice: The Five Demi-Gods are very fond of humankind, they were assigned to watch over the worlds where humans, elves, and dwarves existed.]

Gabimaru flinched as an ominous mana energy seeped throughout his body. His anger began to rise while thinking about the Five Demi-Gods.

"I see. So those humans were the ones that made my brothers betray their creator." He mumbled in a cold tone that made Ganz flinch.

"Let us go straight towards the village and say hi to them." Gabimaru said, and he began increasing his walking pace while Ganz kept silent and followed him from behind.

Several low tier monsters pounced at them as they embarked on their journey, but all of them ended up dying from falling into the sky.

Ganz was shocked to see that such an ability existed; he did not doubt it anymore since Gabimaru himself was a demi-god to begin with.

After several hours of walking, no monsters were found. It was as if they were purposely avoiding Gabimaru and Ganz.

Huh?"

[Aura has been successfully concealed.]

"Oh, so my aura was leaking without me knowing, huh?" Gabimaru mumbled.

"Boss, Your dense aura has disappeared. It was truly terrifying walking behind you. It was as if something was strangling my neck." Ganz said in a worried tone.

"I'm sorry, I didn't know since I never bothered about it before. But now that I'm inside the mortal realm, I should properly conceal my aura in order not to scare the beings around." Gabimaru replied with a composed demeanor.

As they both went further, A low tremor occurred, slowly escalating as it got closer to their position.

Gabimaru and Ganz stopped, noticing that something was coming towards them.

"Ganz prepare for battle." Gabimaru ordered, while they both raised their guards.

Soon the ground shook heavily, and the trees further beyond them started tumbling down on their own. They both stared intently at their fronts and noticed a large snake appear.

It had purple scales and was taller than the trees that existed in the forest. It loomed over Gabimaru and Ganz as it opened its hood and hissed at them, while its eyes glowed brightly.

"Wow, it's so huge." Gabimaru uttered while raising his head up high, Looking at the Viper Cobra.
