"Hahaha!! "
Laughter resounded through the house as they all turned towards David who could seen rolling on the floor.
"Is that…? " Charles asked
"Don't worry, it's normal… he's Omniscient, it happens more often than we are comfortable with" Sharon said as she sat on the couch before them.
"What?... Is that even possible? " Erik asked in shock.
The two looked at each other in shock. They had seen all sorts of Mutants but this was different.
"David, honey… come show these men what you can do" Sharon said as she gestured towards him.
"That is only under one condition" David said as he hovered closer towards the sitting room.
"Why is there a condition? " Erik asked
"You two are considered the greatest mutant leaders in the history of mankind both now and in the future. Never on the same terms but you both choose to unite to recruit me so I feel the need to reciprocate that and do something for you two"
"Is that our actual future? " Charles asked as he turned towards Sharon who simply nodded
"And what would that be? "
"I heal your spine and you help me heal my grandmother" David said
"David! " His grandfather shouted
"Why don't you do so by yourself? " Charles asked ignoring the man
"Because she doesn't allow me to, as soon as she senses me in her mind, she shuts me out… I know she simply wants to let nature take its course but Alzheimer's isn't nature" David answered for the first time showing genuine frustration.
"I see but are you sure this is up to you to decide, in your own words, she shits you out"
"That's why I simply need you to convince her that this isn't a natural way to die, death by disease is one of the most unnatural ways to go"
"If she accepts then I heal her"
"No, you wouldn't be able to do so, just invite me in and I can get it done" David replied
"Haha! " Erik laughed before stopping at Charles's glare.
"Okay then I accept your deal, may I see her then"
Hearing him, David smiled. This was a day he had been waiting for since the disease started. He may have not been able to see this future since he was involved in it but it didn't mean he could predict what would happen or set things in motion the way he wanted.
A few minutes later, his grandmother could be seen on the couch and Charles could be seen in front of her. As usual she was grumpy and tried to push them all away but David simply out her to sleep.
"Are you sure it's going to work? " His grandfather asked
"I.. Don't know" David replied
He couldn't tell the outcome of all this. It was the bad thing about being involved in anything.
Charles stayed motionless with his eyes closed for nearly thirty minutes before he finally opened them.
"She agreed" Charles said with a smile
"Thank you, I am assuming you want me to uphold my side of the deal" David said as he floated closer to the bald man.
"Of course"
"Okay then" David replied as he placed his hand on his chest.
