Omnipotent Odyssey

Omniscience; the ability to know and understand everything, everyone and all there is to both existence and nonexistence. Omnipotence; the ability to do anything both sensible or not. It is the capability and authority to do as one please when one pleases. However, do these two really grant freedom as one expects. My name is David Stone, I am nigh-omnipotent and nigh-Omniscient. However, I do not think I am free. Responsibility is a bitch. ××××××××××× You can read ahead on my patreon @patreon.com/Ink_Verse

Busted

Since everything was taken care of, David and Jean finally prepared to return to the mansion. David initially wanted to use the opportunity to try and convince her parents to allow her to come to the mansion.

However, that was a job left for Charles. Her adoptive parents would never listen to him, nor would they listen to Jean.

They were roughly the same age as their daughter, so what could they know? If they wanted to succeed, then they would have to use their powers. Hence, such matters were left for Charles to handle.

Without any further hesitation, David and Jean flew out of the cavern and soon out of the mountain.

"What was all this even for?" Jean complained almost as soon as they were out of the mountains.

"You still allowed the girl to get initiated, and even then, you didn't make her join the academy."

"They didn't initiate her and can't do that. She's too much for them. And no, I can't just tell her to join the academy and expect her to comply. She doesn't even know who we are."

"Then what did we do all this for?"

"To save trillions of lives later on in the future," David replied.

The 'no more mutants' scene far in the future didn't only affect one universe. It was a multiverse-level erasure. It might seem like no one would die from that, as it would just revert the mutants back to normal, but it wasn't so.

It didn't revert them back to normal; many of them lost their powers. There were those who depended on their mutant abilities to survive. If someone like Wade Wilson were a mutant and had lost his powers, he too would have been dead, curse or not.

The power of the Scarlet Witch may not be absolute, but it was damn close. David wanted to avoid such scenes as much as he could, and the best way he thought to do that was to give her a stable upbringing.

If Chthon had touched her and marked her soul as intended, his dark intent would continuously leak into her soul.

While it may not do anything immediately, the original Scarlet Witch isn't exactly known for her mental stability. As soon as they had gotten enough distance from the village under the mountain, David teleported them both back to the mansion.

A little over an hour had passed since they left, so not many noticed they were gone… Well, that would be true if this wasn't a mansion full of super-powered individuals.

"I can understand him leaving—he's been doing that since he was five—but did you have to follow him?" Charles complained as he looked at the two sitting before him.

One clearly felt remorseful for her actions, while the other looked like he was wasting his time. It was annoying because even Charles knew he was wasting his time.

"If you know, then let's end this and get straight to the point," David replied, rolling his eyes.

Omniscience didn't mean that he could just skip being human. He knew all, but where was the joy in acting like a know-it-all?

"Nope, you put her in danger. I am very sure you took her to an Omega Level event, didn't you?"

"She is Level 5 as well. She can handle herself in such a situation," David replied.

"Okay, you have a point there, but can't you seek permission like a normal human being?" Charles asked.

David smiled at his words. He could tell that the man was fed up and tired. He knew how much of a handful he was—even he would get tired of himself.
