The Perfect Plan

On the west side of Grava City near the Grava City stadium, a watered-down version of a Draibnu that was created by Hunter, who based it off the beast king, is heading toward the area where Aurora, Liz, and Dexter are located.

"Raar!"

The Draibnu shoots a bolt of lightning from its mouth, obliterating multiple pieces of rubble.

A few blocks away, Aurora, Liz, and Dexter are hiding behind a stack of broken buildings.

"What do we do against that thing? It's blowing up the place with lightning!" Dexter says in a panicking tone.

"It's not just a thing; it seems to be a replica of a Draibnu, which happens to be the same race as the beast king, which also makes it not only the rarest race but the most dangerous race of beast."

As Aurora speaks, Liz looks over at Dexter.

"Do you think if I ask the beast to be my everything, it will say yes?"

"Can a beast even fall in love?" Dexter asks, chuckling.

"Hehe, I actually believe they fall in love way more than we do," Liz remarks while blushing.

"Wait, me and you?" Dexter says with a hesitant tone.

"No silly, I meant the human race," Liz says while giggling.

"Oh yeah, right, I should have known that."

"The two of you need to be quiet now," Aurora says with a stern tone.

Both Liz and Dexter flinch after hearing Aurora's command.

Aurora points to the sky, and the others see the Draibnu flying over them with lightning wrapped around it, searching for them.

Aurora puts her right index finger to her lips, signaling the other two to be quiet.

"This predicament we're in right now isn't a favorable one. That Draibnu might not be the beast king, but it doesn't matter; if one of those lightning bolts hits any of us here, that's guaranteed death," Aurora thinks to herself.

Aurora starts to look around her surroundings with a skeptical expression. She first looks at all the rubble around her, and then she looks at Dexter and Liz.

"I need a foolproof plan to be able to take this beast down, and we can't take too long because I know for a fact that soon Kai and Marfumi will need backup. Both of them are powerful, but based on what I know about Hunter, it's going to take a lot more than what they have."

As Aurora thinks to herself, she stops looking through the window and starts a huddle with Dexter and Liz.

"Ok, you two, I need you both to pay attention closely because I have a plan, but we have to get this correct the first time because there won't be any second opportunities," Aurora says with a serious tone.

Both Dexter and Liz nod their heads in understatement, then start listening attentively.

About three minutes later, Liz, who is by herself, runs out in the open, catching the attention of the Draibnu. As she runs, she grips the string of the bag that is over her shoulder.

"If that beast hits me with lightning once it's all over, this plan of hers is crazy!"

As Liz runs, she starts to remember what Aurora told her prior when they were in a huddle.

"Ok, Liz, your powers are no help in this situation, so you'll be the bait for this plan," Aurora says with a blunt tone.

"What bait! So you're saying I have to get that beast's attention! A beast who could kill me instantly," Liz says with a scared tone.

"Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying. You're the most important part of this plan; without you, nothing else can get started."

"You're sending me to my death! Please, Dexter, don't let her do this to me." Liz says while putting her hands together.

"Umm, Aurora, is it truly necessary that she goes out there? Instead, I can just be the bait."

"No, Dexter, I need you for the second part of the plan, but don't worry, I won't be sending Liz unarmed."

Aurora uses her right hand to deconstruct multiple boulders around them. Then, out of her left hand, a bag with a string alongside a bunch of black rods fell to the ground.

"Take these; they will protect you when in danger."

After remembering this moment, Liz uses the accelerate technique and swiftly starts running in a circle. As she runs, she takes the black rods out of the bag and stabs them into the ground.

"She said to make sure there deep in the ground. I hope this works because I don't want to die here!" Liz screams to herself with a fearful expression.

Liz stops running and stands in the middle of the black rods, which are aligned in a circle.

The second the Draibnu notices Liz standing still, it sends five lightning strikes at her.

"Please work!" Liz Screams while closing her eyes.

When the lightning bolts get near Liz, they instantly disperse and get absorbed by the black rods.

Liz opens her eyes, and when she realizes what happened, a big smile appears on her face.

"Haha, yes, it worked! It actually worked! The lighting rods worked!"

The Draibnu continues mindlessly blasting lightning at Liz, but the lighting rods continue taking it and dispersing it underground.

"Yeah, just keep trying while I stay invincible!"

With the first part of the plan in motion, the second phase begins.

At the Draibnu's blind spot, Dexter is rushing toward the beast with a bag on his back.

"Good job, Liz, now it's my turn!"

Dexter pulls out a long piece of wood and tosses it in front of him.

"Lag!"

The board suddenly freezes in mid-air.

"Yes, I did it!" Dexter says with an excited expression.

Dexter jumps onto the board and then throws another one above him, which also freezes in mid-air.

Dexter continues doing this over and over again, moving him closer and closer to the Draibnu floating in the sky.

"I can't believe I never thought of this! This is like an infinite staircase!"

Dexter starts to remember what Aurora told him when they were in the huddle.

"Ok, Dexter. Now for you. You'll be the one to stop the Draibnu's movements while Liz distracts it."

"You mean with my lag powers, right? I don't know how I'll get up to that thing, so I don't think that'll go well, "Dexter says disappointedly.

Aurora deconstructs more boulders with her right and creates multiple wooden boards with her left hand.

"These should be big enough for you to get a strong footing," Aurora says while adjusting her glasses.

"Wait, Aurora, what are those supposed to do for me?" Dexter asks with a confused expression.

"From the battles of yours I've observed, I understand your power allows you to make yourself lag and other things lag as well. Am I correct?"

"Yes, you are. When I touch things, I can make multiple bad connection-related things happen to them."

"Perfect, then take these wooden boards and use them to climb your way to the Draibnu," Aurora says with a calm tone.

"Huh?"

After remembering this moment, Dexter returns to the task at hand and throws another board in front of him. He then uses his power lag to make it freeze in mid-air.

"I can't believe I can do this but can't drink a damn soda without lagging out!" Dexter screams with an annoyed tone.

Dexter jumps onto the last board, and with that, he's right next to the Drabinu.

"Ok, now to do my part," Dexter says as he puts on a rubber glove.

"Aurora claims that this thing generates lightning all over its body, so touching it directly would kill me. She said she made this rubber glove dense enough for my powers to go through but thick enough for the impact from the electric shock."

Dexter places his hand on the Drabinu.

"So go ahead and freeze!" Dexter screams with a confident expression.

Suddenly, the Draibnu began to flicker like a broken light bulb, signaling that it had started to lag out and become immobile.

"Yes! That's what the fuck I'm talking about. Now go, Aurora, get the victory!" Dexter screams to himself as he runs back down the floating wood.

At the same time, on top of a broken-down building, Aurora has instantly started the next part of the plan. She is currently running from the end of the building to the other side with a three hundred-foot-long, flimsy staff.

"Good job, you two. You've both executed the plan perfectly; now I'll deliver on my part," Aurora says with a cold, calculated expression.

Aurora runs forward and flings the flimsy staff downward, planting it in the ground below her. Once it's in the ground, Aurora holds onto it right as it bends toward her.

"This angle is perfect for the trajectory I'm aiming for! I just need to make sure to lunge forward at the right moment without a mistake." Aurora whispers with a focused expression.

Aurora jumps up, and instantly the flimsy staff flings forward, taking Aurora with it.

"Don't let go just yet? Not yet! Not yet! Now!"

Aurora releases the staff, and she instantly gets released forward and up, sending her right above the immobilized Draibnu.

"Yes, this is perfect! Exactly the area of the body I wanted to be above the neck!" Aurora exclaims to herself.

Aurora starts to freefall toward the neck of the Draibnu with a calm expression on her face.

"Now here comes the challenging part for me personally. I've always hated this part of my power."

As she falls, Aurora starts to remember a moment in her childhood.

It was about three days after Aurora discovered her level-two power. At the time, she was thirteen with no idea of the extent of her powers.

"Come on, Aurora, you got this!"

This was a typical day for Aurora; the only difference was that she was practicing her powers. At the time, her brother was supporting her.

"Just be calm, and you'll be able to do it easily," her brother remarks.

Aurora was seated at a table with a small rock in front of her.

With her right hand, shakey Aurora put her hands on the rock and instantly deconstructed it. Then she put her left hand over the table and a small key formed in it and dropped to the table.

"Yes, you did it, Aurora!" the brother shouted as he picked Aurora and spun her around with a smile.

"Yeah, I did do it," Aurora says in a nervous tone.

The brother hugged Aurora with a smile, and Aurora hesitantly hugged him back, but then, with no warning, Aurora fell to the ground.

"Ouch, bro, why did you drop me?"

Aurora looked at her right hand and saw an excessive amount of blood.

"What?" Aurora whispered with a confused expression.

Then Aurora looked in front of her and saw her brother's body covered in blood, with the torso completely gone.

"Bro?"

After reliving this dark memory from her past, Aurora put her focus back on the Draibnu she's currently speeding toward.

"Yeah, that day was eventful, wasn't it? My family made it so much better too," Aurora says with a sarcastic tone.

Aurora started to hear her family member's reactions in her head.

"What have you done to your brother Aurora?" the dad screamed with an unforgiving expression.

"You damn monster, what have you done to my child? Leave right now!" her mom yelled.

"Big sis, what did you do to Big Bro?" Her sister asked with a traumatized look on her face.

As those words flow through her mind, Aurora sees that she is about to land on the Draibnu.

"Well, no point whining about it now; it's in my arsenal, and I need it right now!" Aurora whispers with a focused expression.

Aurora lands on the Draibnu's neck and immediately places her right hand on it.

Aurora's power hand of destruction and creation allows her to deconstruct things with her right hand and then create something new with her left hand from the stuff she deconstructed. Her power requires her to know every detail of whatever she wants to create before she can create it, but her power also gives her one more ability.

"Now destroy!" Aurora screams in her head as she grips the skin of the Draibnu's neck.

Instantly, the beast's neck started to bubble like a pot of soup, then burst into blood, severing the Draibnu's head.

Another part of Aurora's power is that with a touch of her right, she can deconstruct the flesh and bones of any living thing she touches, in a sense destroying them.

The Draibnu's corpse instantly falls to the ground beneath it.

"Aurora!" Liz and Dexter screamed in concern.

Dexter and Liz ran to the Draibnu corpse to check on Aurora's status.

"Hey, Aurora! Are you okay up there?" Liz yelled out.

"Don't tell me she fell off the beast; that type of fall would kill anyone!" Dexter says in a worried tone.

As both of them look around, Aurora claws her way out of the dead Draibnu's head with gallons of blood and guts all over her body.

"Aurora!" Liz and Dexter yelled in relief.

"Eww, she's covered in blood and guts?" Liz says with a disgusted expression.

"And she's not even freaking out, either. Aurora is a fucking soldier," Dexter says with sparkles in his eyes.

Aurora takes off her glasses and creates a handkerchief with her left hand. She then starts wiping the blood off her glasses. Once the blood is cleared of them, she puts her glasses back on with a calm expression on her face.

"Great, now I smell absolutely putrid."
