Returning Home

Within a vast expanse of grey existed, a large resided.

This palace was entirely made out of divine qi as no mortal could ever hope to be near it. The palace's surface was covered in complex runes that perfectly matched each other and created beautiful runic canvases on the palace's walls and pillars.

In front of this palace, a man was floating with his legs crossed in a meditative position.

His skin was pale white with a golden sheen to it, his jawline was powerful and pronounced, and his handsome masculine face was cleanly shaved, giving him the appearance of a man in his late thirties.

His eyes were dark and his brows were sharp. His long ash-grey hair cascaded over his broad and powerful shoulders.

His aura was primal yet graceful, savage while orderly.

His countenance was perfect as he seemed like a wild God while he peacefully floated within the grey expanse.

This man was Mavis Reizon, grandfather of Lucius Reizon and the unshakable pillar of the Reizon House.

Within the whole of Genesis and beyond their power was absolute and undisputed as they were one of the most powerful royal houses. (A/N: during the earlier chapters I talked a bit about Genesis.)

The Royal Reizon house was a behemoth made up of 5 main branches that all held royal bloodlines of diverse power but they were all led by one family, the Original Reizon family, Lucius's family.

Mavis Reizon was a legendary cultivator and ascender revered and known for his might and excellence throughout the whole community.

In only ten million years, he reached the Mythical 8th step and completely united the sub-branches of his house, strengthening their foundation and influence within Genesis by leaps and bounds.

This image of absolute power and dignity completely cracked when he saw the figure of a young winged boy appear in front of him.

"Hello…it's been a while." said the boy as he awkwardly smiled at his grandfather.

Mavis stayed silent, trying to make sense of what was happening.

Even though he looked younger and had a completely different aura now, he had no doubt whatsoever that this was his grandson.

The circumstances of his grandson's disappearance were something that deeply haunted him and was one of the major reasons why his cultivation had been so stagnant despite his monstrous talent.

Every time he closed his eyes or tried to get a moment of rest, the scenes of horror replayed within his mind.

He was a God governing an infinite amount of beings and realities but the things that happened on that fateful day were some of the most nightmarish things he had ever seen.

His gaze locked in with Lucius's gaze and in that instant, a thousand words were exchanged through the silence of their presence.

Mavis smiled and he regained his Majestic bestial aura.

"It has indeed been a while, Lucy. Come on in, I'm sure you have a lot you want to tell me."

Mavis's voice was full of love and care as he talked to his long-lost grandson, nothing like what The Reizon War god was said to be.

Lucius smiled and he followed his grandfather's floating figure.

The atmosphere within the Palace was completely different.

As soon as Lucius and Mavis entered, they were directly teleported to a massive grassy plain covered in beautiful flowers and trees of all kinds.

In what seemed to be the center of this plain was a massive green verdant tree that reached the skies and towered over the surrounding grasslands.

Within the shade of this beautiful and mighty tree, there was a small area made of emerald marble floor that perfectly blended with the grass and flowers around it.

"It's been such a long time…" murmured Lucius.

Every single corner of this place was filled with memories of his youth. He could practically see his 12-year-old self running and laughing around here.

They sat on the emerald marble surface within the shade of this beautiful tree facing each other.

The refreshing touch of the wind graced their skins, the calming rustling sound of leaves falling brought peace to their souls and the illuminating sunlight within these grassy plains brightened their faces with smiles of utmost purity.

Mavis waved his hands and a small table appeared between the two of them. On this table were two cups and a tea holder. The steaming hot tea poured out of the holder on its own and filled their cups to the brim.

As time passed, they lightly conversed, making up for the time they had lost.

Though they didn't talk about any of the sensitive topics they still happily talked about the various experiences they had gone through in the past few years.

"So, What's your plan now that you're back?"

"I wanted to ask if you could help me out with my awakening and the requirements for the academies?"

"You need help for your awakening? Is there something wrong with- wait, what did you say?"

Mavis only registered the latter half of Lucius's sentence after a few seconds and once again he was left baffled.

"To reach my goal and find the answers to my questions, I need to have the most powerful backing."

His voice was firm and uncompromising, knowing his grandfather's temper and past experiences with the temples

he knew this would be a very big deal and he would most likely be against it.

Mavis's aura shifted for a millisecond before returning to his caring aura. He stayed silent for a few seconds as he calmly sipped on his tea.

On the other hand, Lucius was drenched in sweat, practically frozen in fear.

He knew that his grandfather was way more powerful than the world believed him to be but he hadn't expected him to be this powerful.

'His cultivation has been stagnant… but his foundation is monstrous now…'

Lucius steeled his resolve and straightened his back, directly staring at Mavis.

Mavis released a light sigh as he didn't know what to say to this stubborn kid.

The aura he had released was enough to terrify any Saints monster and in some cases, destroy their egos.

Since they were within his Domain nothing would've happened to Lucius but the fact that his only reaction was heavy sweating showed a lot about his ridiculous willpower.

'It's good you haven't changed…'

Mavis's pupils shone with a sanguine light before he realized something.

'So that's why you need help…how did I not immediately notice this?' He calmly thought.

"I'll help you with your awakening and you'll have the full support of the Reizon house. But I trust you will be able to bear the weight that will fall upon your shoulders, correct?"

Lucius immediately stood up and performed and deep bow toward his grandfather.

"Thank you, Grandfather. I promise I won't disappoint." He sincerely said as he couldn't hide the smile on his face.

"When have you ever disappointed us, my dear Lucy?"

A distinguished feminine voice resounded within the grasslands they were in.

As soon as Lucius heard it his smile brightened even more and he immediately recognized the person.

Finally starting the journey! Have some idea about my story? Comment it and let me know.
