Look at that costume underneath that robe. Just what is she up to?" A girl shouted in much shock as Lilly managed to break two buttons of the robe.
"I already knew the girl had no talent to earn money. She is probably doing something illegal or immoral." Another girl spoke up, as more and more girls gathered around them.
A tear dropped down from Amanda 's eye, as she was failing to let go off her robe from Lilly's grip. Lilly was about to tear apart the remaining dress, when suddenly something hit her on the head with much speed.
"Arghhhhh!!" Lilly screamed at the top of her lungs, as her head got hit by something. She turned to see a big pure black colored crow, hovering on top of her head. "Shoooooo!! Shoooo!!" The girl waved her hands, trying to scare away the crow but the crow, once again sped up aiming its beak on the girl's head.
"Woahhh!! Woahhh!!!" Lilly screamed in much panic, running towards a long corridor, trying to save herself from the crow.
"KAWWWWW!!!"
"KAWWWWW!"
The crow's voice echoed all over the living room, while it created a panic amongst everybody. Amanda frowned as the crow was hovering on top of each gi and scaring everybody except her, as if it had come to protect her.
But, she did not waste much time in thinking about it and ceased the opportunity, running up the stairs, straight in her room. She closed the room behind her and took deep breaths. She checked for the bank key as well as the remaining currency notes and heaved a sigh of relief having found everything to be safe.
.....
"It is alright Amanda . Two more days left and you can go away from all this." Amanda took deep breaths as she carefully took out the key and notes, placing it in her drawer.
She then looked at her reflection in the mirror and quickly took off the robe. Her face was filled with sweat and tears. "I badly need a bath."
She frowned looking at her face and fetched a fresh towel from the cupboard, heading to the shower. In another few minutes, the girl returned to her room, wrapping a white colored towel around her, while her wet hair, fell on her shoulders. Her flushed cheeks, looked extremely enticing, while she quickly took out a red colored short gown from her cupboard.
"BAMMMM!"
She then quickly took out a moisturiser from her drawer and was about to apply it on her arms, when suddenly she heard something drop in the balcony. "Huh? Who is there?"
Amanda frowned as her room was the topmost in the tall building at it was next to impossible for anybody to climb the balcony. She tightened her towel a bit and walked barefoot towards the balcony door, which she had left open in a rush.
As soon as she walked closer she noticed a dark colored crow, sitting still on the wall and looking at her. The girl could hardly see its dark body but could spot it, due to its red eyes. The crow had landed on the wall and in process had dropped a small plant which Amanda had decorated on it.
Amanda took a deep breath and smiled looking at the crow. "Hello there. Were you the one who saved me back there from Lilly or was it any of your partner."
Amanda walked further ahead in the balcony, and held out her hand, trying to touch the crow's body. But the crow was only gawking at her, not moving a single inch. She gently patted the crow's body and suddenly the wings of dark bird fluttered and rapidly it flew inside her room and landed itself on her bed.
"Huh!??" Amanda turned to look inside her room and spotted the crow sitting on her pillow comfortably. "Hehe. Are you feeling cold?"
Amanda walked inside the room towards her bed as the crow turned its neck a bit, looking at Amanda . "It is alright. You can stay here as long as you want. This is a thank you gift for saving me back there from all the bullying."
Amanda grinned and then quickly took off her towel and started changing into her night dress, while humming a song. "Do you want to eat something Mr. Crow?"
As soon as she changed she turned to look at the bird, which was yet again sitting still, looking at her calmly. "But... what do you eat? I don't have bird food with me."
She sat down on the bed close to the bird and landed her head on the pillow, right next to the bird. The bird hopped a little turning to look at Amanda , and Amanda started to pat its body again. "You can give me a company tonight. As it is, nobody comes here."
