Time passes,
The full moon passes without incident, Derek taking care of his pack while Nevan takes the time to train and push Cora.
In school, Nevan notices Scott is still completely oblivious to who he really is and even Isaac surprisingly. Derek must have kept a lid on it along with Boyd and Erica, all of them really just wanting to make up for all their past mistakes.
Rebekah continues to play nice with Allison and Lydia, though the latter has been feeling sour and more like a footnote of late. Especially after Rebekah confronted a few girls who were talking trash behind her back. Gaining the reputation of the most popular badass bitch on campus no one wanted to mess with, a title Lydia used to hold.
Lydia acted out by getting closer to the twin Aiden to take her mind off of things much to the dismay of her friends.
Then came the time when Isacc and Scott enacted their revenge plan against the twins.
During English class with Jennifer Blake, Scott took out from his bag parts of Ethan and Aiden's motorcycles, infuriating them, before Aiden heard his motorcycle and left class in a hurry to see what was happening. Isaac and Allison together hot-wired Aiden's motorcycle and Isaac drove it through the school until Aiden stopped him and yelled at Isaac to get off his bike. Isaac smugly complied with "No problem." and even performed a flip over Aiden's head to show off, as the students came out of their classrooms and had the impression that Aiden was the one who drove it through the school. Jennifer was exasperated and disappointed with Aiden and informed him that this would get him suspended, leaving him pissed as Allison, Isaac, and Scott smirked with pride and smugness.
His suspension was the perfect present for Boyd's return.
Furious by Isaac and Scott's actions, Ethan and Aiden later confronted them in the hallway when no one else was around and merged into their "Voltron-Wolf" form to get back at them for the prank with the motorcycles. Deucalion silently walked in with a disappointed expression but the twins wouldn't return to their individual forms until Deucalion slashed their face with the blade located at the end of his cane. They followed their leader out of the school, though it was clear that their feud with Isaac and Scott did not end there, given the looks they gave to the two Betas.
Unbeknownst to anyone, Nevan watched all this from the shadows, finding it much better than tv.
He even saw Jennifer Blake at another time in her true disgusting form, giving him demon Dahlia vibes, and performing another sacrificial ritual with another three human sacrifices. It was an interesting sight as the magical energy flowing around them went through the victims and into her, increasing her power and giving whatever gifts they happened to grant.
When the bodies were later discovered, Scott and the gang went into full investigation mode. Pausing all hostilities towards the Alphas, though little came of it with Isaac wishing to just blame the Alphas for everything.
Nevan then later watched as Kali, Ennis, and Deucalion broke into Derek's loft, where she immediately lunged for Derek while Ennis dealt with Boyd and Erica. Throughout the majority of the fight, Kali used the claws on her feet and demonstrated that she had skills in at least one form of advanced combat. She leaped up into the air and broke off one of the gas pipes running along the ceiling, which she used to hit Derek hard in the temple before plunging it through his chest to neutralize him.
When Derek fell onto his hands and knees and began bleeding on the floor, Deucalion entered the room and apologized for Kali's behavior, claiming that he had asked her to be gentle with him. In response, Kali smirked and replied that she was being gentle before twisting the pipe in his chest to cause him additional pain.
While Kali stood above Derek and applied pressure to his wound, Deucalion explained to Derek how the Alpha Pack began, leading Kali to remark that she felt "liberated" after she killed her own Betas to join the pack. She then informed Deucalion that he should wrap up his conversation, as Derek would likely not survive much longer in his current condition. Once Deucalion left Derek with a choice-- killing his own pack and joining the Alpha Pack, or being killed himself-- Kali removed the pipe from his chest and offered Deucalion her arm before leading him out of the loft.
Nevan was once again utterly disappointed in Derek, he clearly trained very little if at all since he last saw him. He couldn't even access his full werewolf form yet otherwise he could have wiped the floor with the lot of them. Yet there he was on the floor bleeding, if the Alphas stayed just a bit longer they would have seen his impressive new healing factor that's wasted on him.
Nevan did admit he may have been harsh in this critique considering that Derek didn't have the benefit of knowing about such abilities and forms since Talia seemed to have kept a close lid on her past even to her own family. But it wasn't much of an excuse since he did know about the wolf form that she tended to run around in. Not to mention it was up to him to learn his limitations by pushing himself and figuring out how far he could take it. Sitting around depressed about actions he's already taken wasn't something Nevan would sympathize with.
When Cora caught wind of what happened, she met with her brother and talked things out. Being mad at him didn't mean she wanted any harm to come to him. She asked Nevan if he would train them as well despite knowing the answer already. She then asked if she could train them and he again said no, not while he was around and still training her. Then once more asked if he would help in any way, and after he denied this she stormed off in anger, ignoring him for a few days.
After she cooled down and came back, he explained further he wouldn't directly interfere in a conflict amongst werewolves, and that he was making an exception by training her at all because of who her mother is.
