A Weapon that can Pierce the Heavens

"Get the fuck outta here", yelled Doza shocking everyone awake. "And don't let me catch you back in this bitch."

The 4 thugs run out of the shop, "Cassan's gonna hear about this."

Mr. Takamichi laughs, "that was some fight kid. I haven't been that entertained for some time now." "That ain't nothin old man", Doza responded. "If it's not too much to ask, what was that confrontation all about?"

"So your pops is a blacksmith", Kenos asked as they walked through town. "You think he'd make me a bow."

"Once I tell him what you did I'm sure he'll make any weapon to your liking", said Basaul. "My father makes some of the best bows and void weapons around. A lot of his creations were even used in the rise of the Xiomara Kingdom."

"With so much prestige to his name do you really think he'll do it", Kenos questioned. "I'll make sure of it", Basaul replied.

"There's his shop right there, lets go, I'll introduce you."

Kenos and his new companion Basaul walk into the forge.

"I'm back father", shouted Basual.

"Welcome back my child", replied Mr. Takamichi walking from the back of the store with Doza.

"Doza???" Kenos gasped. "What are you doing here?"

"Getting us some actual supplies", answered Doza. "By the looks of it, you didn't buy anything helpful." "The two of you know each other", asked Mr. Takamichi. Doza quickly replies, "yeah he's my baby brother. Were just some travelers."

Mr. Takamichi stares Kenos down, "Basaul you made friends with this kid?"

Basaul shook his head "yes father. He actually saved me from some bullies who were picking on me earlier. They were speaking down on your name saying you were a fool for not wanting to make the Ratari gang weapons. I couldn't take that so I tried to give them a piece of my mind. They weren't interested in my words though and ended up outnumbering me pretty bad. But thanks to Kenos we came out winners."

Kenos smiles in the back, "ha, it was nothing". Doza walks up to Kenos with a strict look.

"How many times do I have to tell you not to cause any trouble", said Doza hitting Kenos at the top of his head.

"Ahhh, I couldn't let him get jumped. It was three on one", Kenos replied.

"What about you?" whined Kenos, "how did you even meet the old man."

"You're the one being questioned here, don't flip this on me" Doza responded.

Mr. Takamichi laughs, "Bwhahaha, my store was being occupied by some thugs and I asked him to clear them out."

"A huh", Kenos chuckles, "that sounds like causing trouble to me", he pouts crossing his arms.

"Nah it's totally different", Doza retorts. "How", replied Kenos.

"Because my trouble benefited us, you were just picking fights, said Doza."

"Not true'', yelled Kenos

Basaul, who was whispering something in his father's ear, walks back to Kenos.

"Bwahaha", laughed Mr. Takamichi. "Child for rescuing my son I will craft you a bow fine enough to pierce the heavens."

"My meddling didn't help what", Said Kenos sticking his tongue out to Doza.

"Yeah whatever", said Doza, hitting Kenos on his crown once more. "Thank the man."

"Thanks, old guy," said Kenos, rubbing his head.

"Old man", Doza calls. Let's finish discussing that gear, after we leave this town will be traveling to the mountain ranges of the west. Both of us will need some type of armor light enough to maneuver yet heavy enough to protect us from a harsh winter of travel. I also have a dagger I need you to repair. It's seen its fair share of battle, said Doza, admiring the blade's rugged teeth. Hmm, hummed Mr. Takamichi. "Omar get in here! What are you on your ass for, take these guys measurements." Omar hurries over to Doza and Kenos with a tape measure.

"Yes sir", shouted Omar carefully measuring each body part.

"It'll take some time before the gear is ready, why don't I put the two of you up at my estate?" Mr. Takamichi suggested. "We have a lot of extra room."

"Oh that's fine", Doza replied, before quickly getting shut down.

"Nonsenses grab your belongings and bring them to the house behind the forge.

My estate is way better than any inn that could house you in this town."

Doza looks at Kenos messing around with Basaul, "Who am I to decline such a generous offer?" said Doza "I graciously accept."

"That's the spirit boy I'll tell my wife to make us a stupendous dinner." Doza pans over to Basaul showing the mind blown Kenos some contraptions and weapons. "I'll be back, Ken", he shouts.

Doza walks to where he and Kenos stashed their horse and wagon. Mr. Takamichi catches up to Doza on the way, "I see how worried you are for your brother. You show it all over your face when he's around. I understand if that's the only family you have left, but make sure you let him get the chance to grow on his own accord. Live his own story."

"I'm happy Ken made a friend", Doza replied. "The two of us have been on the road for some time now, I almost forget he's a kid sometimes how serious he can be. Seeing him with Basaul gave me a little hope. This world hasn't ruined him yet." The two return to see Basaul and Kenos causing a ruckus in the garden. "Is it okay they use your creations like that", asked Doza?

Mr. Takamichi laughs, "it's fine, Basaul himself is exceptionally well at caring for armor and weapons. Even if one was to break he could have it fixed before I even notice. He's been wrecking my shop since he could walk"

Just then Kenos notices that Doza is back. "Check me out Doze", Said Kenos flaunting a sword twice his size. Basaul strapping a dummy in armor puts his thumb up. "Go for it Kenos", he yells. Kenos slowly motion's the blade forward with all his might.

"Woahhhh", Yelled Kenos losing his balance, tossing the huge blade into the dummy by accident.

"My bad", shouted Kenos as he quickly got up. Basaul begins dying of laughter grabbing the sword out of the dummy.

Mr. Takamichi laughs, "next time try something a little more in your weight class."

Doza chimes in and asks, "how bout we get some sparring in before dinner."

Kenos look's at Doza, "I thought you'd never ask."

Mr. Takamichi calls Basaul over to him, "watch and observe my son", said Mr. Takamichi.

"Although I haven't seen Kenos fight himself if he's anything like his brother, They are true warriors. I can sense it the way they attack with no malice, only using their drives and sense of duty to power themselves.

Doza looks at the ready Kenos. "Now's the time to show me some growth from your meditative training." Kenos points to the setting sky dropping his finger in the direction of Doza, "Your just another win to add to my bag."

"Maybe if I wasn't your opponent" Doza laughs.

"You can save those sly comebacks for when I kick your ass", said Kenos, charging in keeping his face forward to draw in an attack from Doza. Doza bites and swings for Kenoses' jaw. Kenos quickly draws his head back to avoid the hit while simultaneously throwing his own punch to which Doza blocks. The two then exchange some punches and kicks before backing off. "Not bad", said Doza, wiping his sweat, "but that's not good enough", he yells charging back into Kenos. Starting with a spin kick Doza throws a number of swipes and jabs with his legs. Kenos manages to avoid them all Jumping off Doza's leg on the last kick and using his momentum to launch into the air. Kenos rolls forward in the air preparing his rolling heel kick. Doza chuckles, "like that would work again." Doza raises his arm above his head and blocks the falling kick. Quickly grabbing Kenoses' ankle and tossing him across the floor. Kenos collects himself from the ground. "My next move", said Kenos in a low voice in between his breaths, "is all it'll take."

Kenos begins taking in an absurd amount of zen, to the point where the wind moved around him.
