Getting Cursed!!

Of course their addition didn't make any difference at all, instead the elder of death shrine only needed one skill to kill them all, wiping out a team of a hundred players in mere seconds, using a dark storm that had the stench smell of death.

Bloom didn't feel sorry for them, as they were stupid enough to butt themselves in such a high end fight! If not for his title, he would never have dreamed of crossing his swords with either of them.

Dying this time meant Derick had lost another level, and thus that player had already lost three levels so far. Even if he worked his as* hard during the past hours, he wouldn't gain more than three levels, or four, so Bloom guessed the current level of Derick.

"Only level five and try to target me? you are really daring!"

Bloom muttered, making a decision to target Derick the next moment he got himself finished from this task in hand. For bitter losers like Derick he had to crush them over and over again, until he crushed their inner vengeful souls, leaving only a wreckage behind.

He then turned his focus on the ongoing battle. He knew if he took one more attack directly, or indirectly, he would instantly die, wasting this golden opportunity.

So, he had to choose his timing well! He estimated current Hp for both to be around thirty thousand Hp. Such monstrous Hp bar was decreasing slowly, but after thirty minutes of fighting, this bar was about to be depleted for the death shrine elder, while there was around two thousand Hp or slightly more in the Hp bar of the life shrine elder.

He knew his time was here, and thus he waited, patiently, just praying for the two elders skills to disappear, while standing in the middle of both, with his swords unsheathed, while opening the window of the resurrecting option, just a single word to say to make the magic happen!

Just as the two elders used a barrage of their skills, as usual, and before they both retreated couple of meters away for their skills cooldown to end, he simply muttered:

"Resurrect!"

The moment he spoke the magic word, the world around him changed, from the grayish color to the lively colors of reality. He didn't have time to marvel at this magical moment, as he was a couple of meters above their heads, appearing out of nowhere, at the moment when they had no skill to use, in the moment of their retreat, and his two swords were raised in front of each one's face.

"Stab!"

"Stab!"

Clearly he used his basic skill, simply like this, causing his two swords to stab their necks, causing the title effect to be activated, dropping all their stats below him by one level.

"1500"

"1700"

Two large numbers appeared on top of the two elders' heads, finally depleting the Hp bar of the elder of death shrine totally, while the other elder had a small amount left in his bar!

"Dash piercer skill!"

Suddenly he used his sword skill, the sword he had attached his upgraded skills with, the one which he already used to stab the elder of life shrine with it.

"3000"

Suddenly this unbelievable number of damage appeared on top of that elder's head, depleting all his Hp, making his face turn ashen white in an instant.

He was just about to seize his victory, killing his nemesis and declare himself victor, but Bloom suddenly appeared out of nowhere, smashing all these dreams for him, making him even lose his life!

Bloom had a series of system alerts happening in his ears, like beautiful music, but he was doomed not to enjoy them, as both elders blurted out their final dying words, and strangely enough, they were the same!

"In the name of the shrine of death, I curse you!"

"In the name of the shrine of life, I curse you!"

The two cursed him, and he suddenly felt two strong blows to his body, making him suddenly feel weak. He just hit the elder of life with his skill, and his body was now three meters in the air, driving the dying body of that elder to the back, colliding heavily with a tree there, making him finally stop.

The moment he fell to the ground, he was breathless, trying to catch his running breaths with some difficulty, and his face was slightly pale.

"What the hell just happened!" he muttered, inwardly cursing the game for its wickedness! Curses were a well known, high end skills, used by a hefty price of life, for permanently affecting others stats in the game!

Playing with curses was no joke, and lifting them was not an easy feat. Just as he was bewildered by what just happened, he had received a train of system notifications, but he had no time to check them, as many players were now coming here, trying to inspect what just happened!

He hurriedly stood from the ground, touched the body of the life shrine elder, and started the collecting skill. Each time he used the skill, he needed ten seconds for it to be fully executed.

The player's crowd was coming from real far, and that gave him around five minutes to collect materials and other stuff from the bodies of the two elders, before he finally started to move.

He didn't want to interact with anyone before he ascertained his current state, so he rapidly moved away, far from the battle place, heading straight towards the mountain with the skull, taking shelter there on one of the huge rocks.

He started to feel a little better, but he was sure he wasn't! The curses effect wasn't temporary, and they took effects the moment they were executed. He just checked his surroundings, making sure he was alone, and then he started to open the many system alerts he had, hoping things wouldn't be this bad for him.
