Chapter 30

Ajax and Amelia took charge of washing dishes while Ember was cleaning the tables and chairs as Amelia and Ember decided to sleep tonight in the bakery as they wanted to do more practice with Ajax and Xander, but as Xander looked tired due to the previous incident he was resting.

"Ummm....about what brother said it applies to me also ,remember that?" Said Ajax in a low voice trying not stutter or become red due to shyness.

Amelia gasps in shock and her eyes widen in shock.

"You...umm..you..wow! You are that type of person! This is unexpected!!" Said Amelia while being awkward and confused at the same time.

"Wh-what type of per-person? Wh-what is my ty-type? Asked Ajax stuttering while getting nervous due to Amelia's response.

" About what you said just now. That's what I am talking about." Said Amelia while looking at Ajax trying to control her laughter.

"What is it? What are you trying to say?" Ajax said in a worried manner because he was trying to get a good impression of him.

"What is so confusing ? You just said that you also look sexy and have a good body and I should remember that? Was that not what you meant?" asked Amelia.

Ajax got flabbergasted and took a few deep breaths.

"Yahh!! What are you saying? How can you say about that things !! I was saying that brother said that be confident and he will protect you three. And I meant that I will protect you always, that was what I was telling you to remember!!! What were you saying right now! How can I say something about myself like that? "Said Ajax being embarrassed and frustrated as well. Amelia gets shocked and gives a sheepish smile.

" Oh!! Right ,right... why would you praise about yourself like that. Hmm..I wi-will remember what you told me just now...ummm...cleaning is done, let's go and practice " Said Amelia while quickly speeding out of kitchen . When she was outside kitchen, she cursed at herself and hit her forehead.

'What was I thinking while saying that !! Dumb, stupid Amelia .What will he think of me now, huh!! What to do ,he is surely laughing at my stupidity'

Amelia was cursing herself sitting on a chair and pulling her hairs in frustration.

Meanwhile Ajax sat on chair in kitchen, his mind still processing about what happened just now.

'What was I saying? I should have said directly instead of letting her have a misunderstanding! Huh!! Does she really thinks that I am that type of guy! What now, will she think I am weirdo!! What should I do?'

Ember and Harlow were bonding their friendship while helping each other in their fighting skills.

"Yahh!! Make your cuddly's defence strong or else he won't be able to save himself from scorpio's sting" Said Harlow while telling Scorpio to attack with poison.

"Thanks and Cuddles quick activate sturdy sphere and give me a big sonic roar ,baby" Said Ember.

Scorpio's sting got stuck in the spherical wall and was trying to take it out but seeing another attack started rustling and panicking. Harlow was unable to understand as what to and stood there still thinking of what to do. Ember saw that and told her bear to take his attack back. Seeing her 12 inches Scorpio safe and sound Harlow released a sigh of relief .

"Good defence, we can use this trick in the real battles. "Said Harlow giving a fistbump to Ember.

"What can we use ?"asked Amelia coming in yard followed by Ajax. Ember and Harlow explained what they learnt while fighting and they spent their time learning from each other and telling each other's weakness and strengths.

The next day, Cole was the first one to come to the bakery. The first thing he did was peek in the bedroom to see Xander sleeping while hugging a pillow ,while Ajax was sleeping hugging Xander's one hand tightly. Cole looked at them with admiration and a smile firmed on his lips . Then he went down and started making the cake's batter. After a while all of them began busy in the work.

Amelia who was getting good in making cookies was serving her tasty vanilla cookies with chocolate frosting when a commotion took place in a corner table .

Due to the commotion, Cole came from the kitchen.

A bunch of guys were yelling at someone and that was distrubing the whole environment.

"What is the problem, may I help you?" asked Cole.

A pale boy with a triangular face shape with his forehead covered by his platinum coloured hair looked at Cole and then at the bunch of guys surrounding him. Then he sighed and shook his head. Then looked at the bunch of guys.

"Let's go out and talk. Don't disturb others "Said the pale boy . The bunch of men smirked and went out.

The pale boy looked at Cole with his sapphire blue eyes and bowed and said sorry and went out before without ordering anything.

"What was that all about? "asked Harlow. Cole shrugged his shoulders as he was also clueless. Then they went to back to their work.

In the alley ,the pale boy was being surrounded by the men.

"We told you to just help us transfer the drugs and you neglect us !! What power you have that you gather up the courage to say no to us ,huh?" asked a guy who is their leader.

"Ahh!!Come one,I did not have my breakfast and you are asking me about that stupid deal again. I told you I won't, it's futile for you to pursue me or should I say pressurise me,it will only bring you more trouble!" Said the pale boy wiping if the blood from the corner of his lips when one guy gave him a hard punch.

"You,brat!! You have a very big mouth let me show you what happens to those who talk back to me" the leader of gang was about to beat the boy when a hand stopped him.

There were Cole and Ajax behind with Cole holding the hand of the leader.

"In my bakery or near my bakery, I prefer non violence. Co-operate with us and leave from here leaving the boy alone "Said Ajax sternly.

"Who are you to budge your nose in my business?" asked the leader.

"If you want to know then come and fight one on one fairly and not like a nit-wit ,bullying one with support of many "Said Ajax with a annoyed face.

" Brat, you are poking your nose unnecessarily. Do you want to get your hands dirty , huh?" asked another one who looked sturdy and well built one.

"Don't worry, we know how to dump out trash" Said Ajax pointing towards the gang.

"Trash!! Brat you have a big mouth inspite of your age. Today I will teach you a good lesson" Said the sturdy one and took out his small double axe.

"We are playing with weapons, are we? " Asked Ajax and took out his small sword which he named as 'Flaring blade'.

They attacked each other and the fight started. Cole got to use his new weapon which his hands were itching for so long to use.

Within three seconds out of 9 , three were knocked down by Cole's sharp arrows. He did not kill them, just shot at their arms or legs. Ajax was busy in a fight with the leader and the sturdy fellow.

He was handling two men perfectly all thanks to Amelia's strict training that she gave to him and Harlow.

Ajax managed to make a deep cut on the sturdy's arm and one on the leader's leg. They backed off quickly and ran away followed by their minions.

"Thank you " Said the pale boy calmly.

"Will you like to finish your breakfast? You looked kind of disappointed when you left without eating" Said Cole.

"Hmm... That is a good idea. " Said the pale boy and all three went back to bakery.

"I would like a blueberry pancake. And a cup of coffee. That's all. And by the way, my name is August Dean. " Said the lake boy.

"Nice name. Your order will be ready in fifteen minutes" Said Cole and went to kitchen.

"Thank you for your help. " Said August personally to Ajax. Ajax smiled and said it's okay. Then August ate the food and paid and left. Before leaving he gave a card to Ajax .

"Call me anytime if anyone troubles you or you need any help. This is my card and the place where you will find me. " Said August and left.

Ajax and Cole saw the card and both got shocked by reading the card. All the people had left the bakery as it was peak time of work.

"He... That boy... He is the owner of the famous and one and only -"Aurex Den". " Said Cole while almost whispering.

"Den, what type of den? " Asked Ember.

"The most famous one where you will find combination of various things. You can play casino, find one of the rarest items, win auctions, earn money through battles - all these works are perfectly and truthfully held in the Aurex Den. " Said Harlow.

"That means he must be very rich. " Said Amelia.

"Not only rich, he is very smart if he is able to establish Aurex den at this age. " Said Xander while coming from kitchen after hearing them as no work was left.

"And we helped him. From his looks, he did not needed any help. Then why was he listening to them? " Asked Ajax.

Others shrugged but all were stunned that such a rich guy came to their little bakery.

What a weird guy...
