Chapter 84: Did You Sleep With Her?

"Hmm?"

Seeing the frightened Syuen trembling as if her soul had left her body, Mo Chen glanced toward Mihara and Yuni.

What exactly did they do to make the once-proud Syuen this terrified?

At that moment, Syuen's eyes rolled back, her body stiffened, and she collapsed to the ground, unconscious.

Mo Chen turned to Yuni.

"What did you two do?"

Yuni licked her crimson tongue across her lips, her eyes shining with excitement. She replied cheerfully, "Nothing much, just a little something that made everyone happy."

Did you… actually sleep with her?

Mo Chen almost blurted it out but managed to hold his tongue.

"Never mind. Forget it. Take Syuen back."

Judging from Syuen's terrified state and Yuni's obvious S tendencies, whatever happened in the prison must have been intense.

Mo Chen felt like he had finally vented some of his frustration.

A few days later.

Syuen finally woke up after being unconscious for several days.

When she awoke, she seemed like a completely different person. She was obedient and docile, following Mo Chen's every word without resistance. She was as submissive as a lamb.

Everyone was shocked. Was this really the same Syuen they knew?

The only thing odd was how Syuen ate—devouring her food in a frenzy like a famine survivor, afraid the food might disappear.

This was probably due to the psychological trauma of being starved for so long.

Mo Chen sent everyone away and sat across from Syuen, beginning a psychological evaluation.

"So, how about now? Have you made up your mind?"

Syuen froze mid-bite, her chopsticks suspended in the air.

She didn't speak for a long while.

"Don't pretend. I know exactly what you're thinking." Mo Chen pinched her soft, fair cheek, smirking. "Why are you trying to act innocent with me?"

There was no way he'd believe that just a bit of punishment had completely reformed Syuen.

She was definitely scheming something.

Syuen's face stung slightly from being pinched, but she didn't dare resist, enduring the humiliation silently.

Recalling the past few days of terror, humiliation, and suffering, Syuen felt a deep hatred within her.

If it had been before, she would have wanted to tear Mo Chen to pieces.

But now, even though the hatred was still there, she didn't dare act on it.

Mo Chen sighed, released her face, and stood up as if to leave.

"Seems like you'd rather stay with Yuni and Mihara. I won't force you. I'll send you back…"

"You can't!"

Syuen's face paled, and she jumped up in panic. With a loud crash, she knocked over the table, sending plates and bowls clattering to the floor.

She couldn't go back to that place! Absolutely not!

"I… I mean, please don't send me back!"

Faced with Mo Chen's authority, Syuen finally gave in. Her face was ashen, her body trembling as she pleaded desperately.

Mo Chen rubbed his chin, studying the little tyrant before him.

"Were you just thinking about how to kill us all?"

Syuen flinched, her face drained of color, and she shook her head furiously.

"No, no, I wasn't!"

Her voice was shaky and unconvincing—it was clear she was a terrible liar.

"I'm a reasonable person," Mo Chen said, patting Syuen's smooth cheek and tilting her chin upward so she was forced to look at him.

"If someone doesn't provoke me, I won't provoke them. But if someone crosses me, I'll make sure they regret it. And I'm also someone who believes in eliminating threats completely. Do you understand what that means?"

Syuen leaned forward slightly, her face pale, as Mo Chen kneaded her cheeks. She was tense and didn't dare to resist.

Seeing her "obedience," Mo Chen was quite satisfied. He returned to the sofa, crossed his legs, and casually remarked, "Oh, right, I remembered something. The troops you summoned from the Missilis Industry? They're gone. You probably already know, right?"

Missilis Industry's troops?

Syuen's eyes widened in shock, and an uncontrollable chill coursed down her spine, leaving her hands and feet cold. Gone? Dead?

He actually dared to target troops sent by the Ark!

"Syuen," Mo Chen said as he stood up and walked over, bending slightly to meet her eyes. "Tell me, who do you think can save you now?"

Syuen's face turned deathly pale as she frantically shook her head, resembling a rattling drum.

"You said earlier that you'd do anything, right? Well, now's your chance to fulfill that promise."

Mo Chen approached her step by step. Instinctively, she retreated until she hit the corner of the wall, with nowhere else to go.

Her face drained of all color in sheer terror.

Mo Chen extended a finger and placed it on her forehead.

In an instant, countless crimson threads erupted from his fingertip, writhing like living creatures, and surged toward Syuen.

"Ahhhhhhh—!"

A sharp, piercing scream echoed.

Syuen collapsed to her knees, clutching her forehead as she writhed in agony, her legs kicking uncontrollably.

Mo Chen observed coldly.

The tide of pain receded.

Syuen, drenched in sweat, lay helplessly on the ground, gasping for air. Her soaked clothing clung to her figure, faintly outlining her barely-developing form.

"From now on," Mo Chen stated coolly, "you're my slave. Your body and soul will obey me unconditionally."

"Don't even think about running. You wouldn't want to turn into one of those Rapture monstrosities, would you?"

With that, Mo Chen turned and left.

Just now, Mo Chen had infused Syuen with the Punishing Virus.

There was no way she could disobey him.

Whenever he wished, Mo Chen could trigger her genetic mutation, transforming her into a monster.

After a long while, Syuen managed to recover slightly. She supported herself on the ground, attempting to stand.

Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed something on her arm. Bringing it closer for a clearer look, she saw red veins, like tiny crimson threads, spreading across her pale skin. They pulsed faintly, as if alive.

Recalling Mo Chen's earlier words, Syuen's face turned ashen. Her legs gave out, and she collapsed to the ground.

After dinner.

Rapi sought out Mo Chen.

"Commander, though Syuen has done many despicable things, she's still the CEO of Missilis under the Ark. To avoid any potential backlash, it's best not to kill her."

Seeing Rapi's seriousness, he chuckled and countered, "Who said I was going to kill her?"

Rapi froze, her expression puzzled, unable to understand his intentions.

"Then what are you planning to do?"

Mo Chen opened the curtains.

From the highest point of the Commander's office in the outpost base, one could oversee the entirety of the base.

Most of the areas were illuminated with lights.

Only one section was shrouded in darkness, with faint, flickering light. The building there was dilapidated—it was the old dormitory where Anis and her team used to stay.

After they moved out, no one had occupied it.

But now, it had a new tenant.

"Syuen may have committed all sorts of misdeeds, and her nature might be rotten to the core. Killing her would indeed be the simplest solution. However, adhering to the principle of education first and the idea of curing people, I've decided to give her one last chance to turn over a new leaf."

"Turn over a new leaf?"

"Yes."

Mo Chen smiled innocently, a harmless expression of pure kindness.
