Their samples....

Hanabi gave a start. She looked at Monalissa, her eyes filled unconcealed questions. Luke gave Hanabi's hand a gentle squeeze.

"What do you need our samples for Mona?", Hanabi asked.

Monalissa sighed. "I need it to save the little one inside me", Monalissa said.

The little one...

Hanabi and Luke processed what Monalissa had said, their eyes shining with shock... questions...and finally surprise. Their ears went to her tummy, which was as flat as a plane.

"You said something is inside your tummy?", Hanabi asked.

"Yes", Monalissa replied with a nod.

"Who's the father?", she asked again.

"Bibi calm down. Don't be in a such a rush", Luke said to Hanabi. The latter pursed her lips and looked at Monalissa in the eyes.

Monalissa took in a deep breath. "I don't know yet", she said catching the duo off guard. They weren't expecting her to say that.

"Monalissa!", Hanabi said, tears gathering in her eyes. Her friend was so pitiful. Suffering in the hands of her Boss and now pregnant for some unknown guy? Why's the world so cruel?! Tears fell from her eyes as her mind traveled down the memory lane of her friend's ordeal.

"Hey Hana, don't cry", Monalissa said, taking Hanabi's hand in hers. "The father will be revealed soon" .

"But how? Do you know where he is?", Hanabi asked.

Monalissa looked at her belly and towards the door. The man behind that door...

"He's close. Very close. I need your samples to distract the enemy that might try to manipulate the truth", Monalissa said, her eyes suddenly turning serious.

"What enemy?", Luke asked his brows furrowed a little. "The Soul-sucking org?", he asked.

Monalissa looked at him. "Yes", she replied.

"Then, if you need us to provide our samples to be used as distraction for the soul-sucking org, that mean the child is for...our Boss?!", Luke analysed his eyes widening.

Monalissa nodded. Hanabi's jaw finally dropped. Monalissa was really out for them today. Sending in surprises one after another.

"The Boss's child?", Hanabi asked, trying to confirm what she had just heard.

"Yes. He doesn't believe it, that's why we went for a DNA test. The Soul-sucking org might come to destroy the truth as they've gotten wind of my pregnancy", Monalissa explained.

"Why would they want to manipulate the pregnancy? Does Neon know you?", Luke asked.

"Yes. His real name is Elijah Wolf", Monalissa said.

The duo remained silent while analyzing what Monalissa had just explained.

"So, you suspect that the pregnancy is for the Boss and you think the enemy will intercept the test bringing in a result that might be invalid, yeah?", Luke asked.

"Correct. We don't have much time. We need to return to the hospital today to submit your samples. Even if it's not my master's own, I can't let the soul-sucking org have a laugh in this", Monalissa said.

Hanabi looked at Luke who nodded at her. She turned to Monalissa. "What samples do you need? Blood? Nails, hair?", she asked.

"Nails will do", Monalissa replied.

Luke and Hanabi cooperated and handed over their nails that had been clipped off to Monalissa who took them separately, tying each in a different handkerchief. She labelled them with the aid of a pen she found in the room, writing their respective names on each.

"Thanks so much for this guys", Monalissa said, her tone appreciative.

"It's nothing Monalissa. We'll help you with everything and anything else you need. I can't believe I will soon become a godmother", Hanabi said smilingly while rubbing Monalissa's tummy.

Monalissa chuckled. "If you're not its godmother, no one else has the right to be it", she said earning laughter from them.

"Congratulations Monalissa", Like said.

Monalissa nodded. "Thank you Luke", she said.

"Don't worry. If its father doesn't accept it, we are here for the two of you", Hanabi assured.

"Thanks guys", Monalissa said.

The trio finally exited the room, and met with Ezekiel in front of the room. He was standing there with Kim.

"You're finally out", he said, his voice deep with coldness.

"Have you been standing here master?", Monalissa asked as she walked forward to him, her eyes shining with concealed affection.

"Yes. How did it go?", he asked, looking her over.

"It went well. I got their samples. Hana and Luke really helped a lot in this", Monalissa said.

Hanabi and Luke who were standing behind Monalissa bowed in respect to their Boss. Ezekiel spared them a glance, and then turned back to Monalissa.

"So, what's the plan?", Ezekiel asked.

"Deception", Monalissa said, her lips rising to a devious smile. "We'll mislead them", she said.

"How do we do that?", Ezekiel asked.

"Doctor Maya knows what to do when I hand this over to her", Monalissa said, mischief glimmering in her eyes.

Ezekiel smiled while looking at her tricky expression. "Then, let's go", he said, and took her hand in his.

Monalissa was about to go but suddenly stopped. "Master", she called.

"Yes?", he stopped in his steps, and looked at her.

"My friends...", she trailed off not knowing what to say.

Ezekiel looked at Hanabi and Luke. He remembered Luke as the one who had leaked information to the enemy and Hanabi...she was here thanks to Kayla.

"The two of you...you can stop working here", he said.

Monalissa's eyes widened. That wasn't what she wanted to ask if him but then...he just resigned them?!

Hanabi and Luke looked at each other, and then at Monalissa. "Boss", Luke called,

"You guys can stop working here. I will give you positions at the Alpha Network. As for you Luke, I have not forgiven you", he said.

Monalissa squeezed his hand the moment he said that. Ezekiel flinched and looked at her. "Master... that's harsh", she mouthed.

Ezekiel swallowed at the sight of her red lips mouthing some words to him. He looked away almost immediately, facing Kim. "Have Mr Andrews sign them out. Find a villa for them in th eastside of Sun city. That's the reward they get for helping out theirWalker,", Ezekiel said. He then turned to Monalissa, "Walker, let's go home", he said and began pulling her away from the corridor.

Hanabi and Luke looked at each other with a smile. They hugged each other, tears forming in their eyes. "It's going to be fine now", Hanabi said. "The Boss has really shown us mercy".

"Yes Bibi. We can finally pick up the remains of our life", Luke consoled her, patting her back gently.
